no way of renaming old accounts?
I hope there is, as me and a friend have very good stats online as we play in a team all the time.
Probelm is when we made the accounts we forgot to add our clan tag.
That's the same reason why i was asking if there is a way to rename your current nick.
It means im going to have to scrap my old account for a new one, and i dont want to do that..

Create a new account. Besides, it's likely (hopefully) that the stats will be reset after the patch.

Why should stats from a substantially different game be included in the stats for the game after 1.1 is released? With the amount of changes going in, by all rights the stats should be reset.

I would like stats to be reset after every "ladder season" or patch. Uber is right, with things substantially different, people will need to change. Having their previous stats remain the same as pre-abuse fix will just keep people up at the top of the ladder that have inflated their scores through the use of abuse (and some skill, of course, many are skilled and ALSO abuse.)

Stat reset is irritating. I don't play all that much.

There's reason for and reason against a stats reset. Of my 38-ish losses, probably 30 of them have come in 1v1's against bug abuses. Of my 240-ish wins (since release, not counting beta), none have come from bug abuses ... I'm a 99% of the time SM player, and don't use F2 (although that's not necessarily a bug according to some, but I still don't use it just in case).
Frankly, I don't care if my record is "perfect" or not. I don't think anyone should, really, but I like having stars for playing so many goddamned games, and it's also helpful for sorting through the lobby (which is designed worse than any game lobby in the history of mankind IMO ... not even any saved buddy lists). I don't really WANT my stats to vanish, EVEN though a vast majority of my losses are to exploits and bugs, and my stats would be "prettier" if a reset occurred.
On the other hand, the whole stats thing is kind of a joke anyway; hell, the top 5 win streaks all belong to players who barely automatch 1v1 at all, and who probably earn their wins by clanning up against n00bs 99.999% of the time.

F2's been re-reconfirmed as a bug.
Really? Chalk two more automatch losses up to bugs :/

I'd be shocked if the ladder was no reset. All the abusers would be on the top, while those who actually know whats going on would be stuck under them. Sure, in a week the abusers would be destroyed as the skilled players come to get them without their trusted exploits, but still it should be reset.
I guess I agree. I just don't personally feel I "need" to have my stats reset, even though they also would be much "better" if not for exploits.
