    Announcement - Patch 1.1 details

    Hey all, I know everyone has been talking about the content that’s going to be in the next patch, and now that we have a more solid list going, I figured Id share. We are currently on track for the patch to go live around the end of the month.

    Feel free to ask questions, Ill be happy to answer as much as I can.

    Major Updates

    Maps
    - Valley of Khorne: Critical Objectives have been moved to ensure each player has a point closer to their base. Center CO remains in same location.
    - Dead Mans Crossing: removed cover from entrances to player's base from water.
    - 2 new MP Maps.

    Balance
    - Power cost of Seer Council increased
    - F2 Tactic – squads that are being attacked by melee units now have their ranged weapon accuracy reduced to 1%. Modifier applies to all members of the squad being attacked, not just the members being hit.
    - Conceal no longer stacks improperly.
    - Eldar no longer throw 3 Plasma Grenades.
    - Seer Council ranged attack has been reduced.
    - Entangle no longer works against Bloodthirster and Avatar.
    - Ork Slugga Big Shoota damage reduced.
    - Number of small fixes to attribute files.

    Stability
    - A number of issues have been addressed to improve game stability.

    Fixes
    - Fixes various frequent AI crash bugs.
    - Fixes gameplay options text bug for German/Korean builds.
    - Enables cheats for MP games - only works if the option is explicitly chosen in Game Options screen.

    Is anything done to Eldar Falcon Gravtanks pulselaser/brightlance graphical bug(it is missing in game)? And does that starcannon upgrade still change that pulselaser/brightlance to starcannon instead of scatterlaser to starcannon?

    will you fix the language problem in MP-login-screen?
    (>Mapnames and winningconditions in the language of the Hosts DoW-Version. Meams often french, german and spainish. oh and because of that no map-previewpic)

    Will this patch bring back the slow reinforcing in combat similar to beta 1.3? If not in this patch, is it still planned for a future patch?

    Is this an emergency fix or a final fix?

    For the whole squad? Why not match the percentage to what CC damage is, minus a few percent?

    entangle duration or lack similar sorc spell duration, land speeder, arranged ladder, dread spamming, ladder situtation... Are any of these considered an issue to the dev team?

    Any balance changes for the Terminators and Assault Terminators? Any balance changes for the Rhino? (since nobody uses it now) Killa-Kans still mow down Dreads?

    youve put a number of attribute files changed. Does this include the Force commanders permanent stun which also seems stops bonesong being able to cast from Webway assembly?

    Is the accuracy debuff a temporary fix?

    Thanks for the huge response! Ill answer what I can. Generally, I cant talk about what isnt on that list. That list is what we know we will be delivering. We are aiming for more, but I dont want to tell you something is going to be there if Im not certain.

    Will the 2 new maps be 1v1
    there will be 1v1 maps

    I'm starting to get the hots for Relic and THQ.
    lol, we aim to please!

    And what is the ETA of the patch?

    we determined that the big shootas were doing more damage on sluggas than on shoota boyz.

    This is a short term solution. In the future we want to rework the stance system and fix it properly.

    Will this patch bring back the slow reinforcing in combat similar to beta 1.3? If not in this patch, is it still planned for a future patch?
    this will not be included in this patch, but we definitely want to address it in the future.

    1. How about bonesong? Theres a circle for range but as it stands range is unlimited. Do you plan to address this in the 1.1 patch?

    2. The Big Mek teleport bug (where a squad can still us the kustom tellyporter if the attached BM is killed): Its not listed on this thread, but has been recognized b4. Same thing: Is this being worked on?


    3. Security: There has been a bit of a spam problem in the main lobby thats getting worse. Right now u can ban (<mod edit> I assume you mean ignore) accounts, but the same ppl just create a new nick and come right back in. Anything u guys can do about this or is this purely gamespy's problem?

    will eldar be having their artificial intelligence fixed ? (warp spyders running at the enemy when u tell them to attack on ranged stance, fire prisms doing the same, reapers seeming to get as close as possible to shoot)

    will rangers be getting any fixes ? ( or clarification what their use is? )

    But the router bug needs to be adressed as well.

    As it is now - players with routers can't connect to games unless they connect as the last player, since they will block all further players joining the game otherwise.

    I would also like to see some 3 player FFA maps. Not just team or 1v1 maps.

    1) will the move ki's of troops(units not run straight but move along often) and especially heros(hero and the troop he is in get stuck if he engage other hero in melee) improved?

    2)will the two attak upgrades on possessed chaos space marines have both effect(atm only the left has effect)?

    3) will the armor of kyborgs/terminators be fixed(improved so they dont die like flies to heavy bolters) and will the kyborg laser do correct damage?

    4)will there be an observer function in custom games(this would be very fine) and a friend list would be very needed too, or at least a whisper command where u can send messages to players who arent in the same channel?

    Why units approach more than the needed in shoot stance? I mean, units get more closer than they need to be in order to shoot. Will this be fixed and will units move until they are in range and then start firing instead of keep moving on and on near the enemy?

    It is mentioned that entangle will no longer affect Bloodthirsters or Avatars.

    Chains of Torment can also effect Avatars, i've never used it against a Bloodthirster. Is that also changed?

    Are various LUA typo bugs fixed but not listed, IE Even More Choppy not applying to Sluggas?

    Will it be possible to observe live games, including on 2 player maps?

    Will you fix the bug where large gretchin squads don't build the assigned new structure, but rather stop and idle in front of it? Happens a lot with Power Generators.

    Is anything going to be done about the BAD POOL CALLER bsod errors people are getting that are a direct result of some error or conflict related to the securom copy protection?

    Are there plans to change the current Dark Angels scheme ( Terminators Bleached Bone, Land Speeders black, Space Marines Dark Angel Green)?

    Will rangers be useful?
    Will banshees survive their charge?
    Will council be able to take down a BT/Avatar/ the way other races 2 hero combo can? (right now they don't seem to last enough)
    Will relocation and shroud be un-nerfed - too expensive and buildings dying while relocating? (ie sm tier 2 250/100 - relocation alone 200/200)
    Will the spiders stop running up to enemy even when on f2?
    Considering council without stacked conceal will die just as easily as the rest of eldar - why nerf them further by reducing their ranged attack?
    Will there be any eldar buffs at all?

    Will the scouts insane 1 shot 1 kill damage be reduced in any way?

    Will chaos finaly be able to aim?
    Wil the dred be balanced at all? (10 dred vs 6 defilers)
    Will horrors be unnerfed?
    Will obliterators get some health/aim back?

    Will the wartrak speed/power be reduced in any way? (right now rokits for knockdown with the trak folow up is slightly unsettling)

    Will pathfinding horrors be addressed?
    Will units no longer get stuck?
    Will the "hero unable to move" be fixed?
    Will flood filtering finaly be implimented?

    Will ask more as I think of it. Thank you.

    Will a BUDDY LIST be implemented? PLZ.

    Will the Defiler vehicle cap be reduced to 2, like the dread? Or the one of the dread increased to 3, like the Defiler?

    That was me who followed up on your thread. It's on the list as a very quick fix item, and will likely make it in to the 1.1 patch.

    Where is AT feature for online gaming?
    Where are balancing fixes for SM TIER 3, especially on regard to orbital deployment, you should only able to deploy units within the radius of your captured req flags and NOT anywhere in visible map? That is overpowered.

    Chaos, tier 3 is worse than tier 2, it is 5x better to use psms instead of obliverators, predators are simply to expensive, and defilers are too weak to engage infantry. Bloodthirster IS NOT worth its cost.

    Maybe if you guys collected some decent stats, you would see the least used race in team is chaos and most is SM.

    Also some bugs with Force Commander which sometimes goes in infinit stun to its oppoents when he strikes.

    There is also the problem in online games, moving units or casting a spell becomes unresponsive or ordering a worker to build something.

    Will the issue with the idle terminators displaying both the heavy flamer and the autocannon when you have upgraded it with just a heavy flamer be addressed?
