    Irollremz's pics with some color

Well I finally got a chance to put some color on these pics like I've been meaning to. This is my ... hmm... 4th try to color Irollremz's phoenix picture, without my computer giving me crap about it. Anyways, the pics were very fun to color... there was a lot of energy to work with.

HAA Jaen. Well I think the coloring is great but may I suggest that you have the person in sharp, not blurred colors while the flames are blurred? Or the other way around? I think it might really set of that part.

the master chief looks as though he/she has his/her leg on FIRE...and she/he's staring at it...

though the overpainting is somewhat strange for the girl in the first picture. her feet are missing...

Wow. The dynamism and energy of the first picture is excellent.
Plus you managed to completely avoid the flat "painted on a computer" trademark colour; something that'll probably take me another four years to master.

Thanks guys, glad you like :]

Koki: Well, I decided to desaturate the pants and the shoes to draw attention upwards (and I was too lazy to shade them).

SolidSnake: Well I did blue some of the flames that were in the background... but more blurring would probably be better. However, I have a thing for sharpness and saturation that is quite unhealthy :].

Progenitor: ya, the desaturation of the pant/feet thing again. Also, Master Chiefe is male thank you... :].

    Panth: Thanks :]

Irollremz: It was photoshop 7, which is what I do most of my coloring with. However, I use painter7 for black and white pictures all the time. Plenty of people use painter for coloring, though it doesn't float my boat that much. Thanks for the awesome pencils to color :].

    Omi: thnx :]

Ardias: naked woman with a gun... it's on the list :]

I tried your technique. Can you tell me what needs improvement (I guess alot of things, but I must start somewhat). It took me 15 mins, but I sadly haven't got tablet (and talent).

The thing I would recomend is definition. Get your Solids down first before you use the lower opacity brushes. Use the 65 and the 30 percent brushes for shading, shadows, and highlights... with higher opacity brushes for your base colors maybe. The only other thing I can suggest is practice shapes... which is the core aspect of any drawing/painting.

To use one of my highly overused quote these days:

    DAAAAAAMN!

Very, very impressive works. Time to go and try to imitate it now! ^_^ Thanks for the inspiration!
