When i reinstalled the game it asked me to create a profile name but every time i made a name it would not show up on the selction list i have tried multiple times but to no avail. Does anyone know a way around this?

Do you get an error, like "That name is already taken" or something like that?
Is this the online profile or the general game profile? If it's the online one see Moe's reply, but if it's the general game one please make sure that your "Profiles" directory in your Dawn Of War directory isn't marked as "Read Only" in it's properties.
no the name i put in just dissapears.
