the install is standard - bog standard - but I have never been able to play it due to the crash that occurs with some ATI cards and AMD setups - so I download the patch and it tells me that it cannot be applied to this version of Dawn of War - huh?
Any ideas - I was hoping that this may fix the game so that I can actually play it
There have been many posts like your own. Go look at them in the bug report section.
I suggest freeing up lots of space on ur hard drive (like 5 gig). I did this by unistalling doom 3 and it worked, strange.
Others have taken out all custom stuff like banners and mods then reinstalled it and applied the patches.
O and make sure u have the 1.01 patch before you patch the 1.10 patch.

Have you patched to 1.01 before applying the 1.1 patch?
Yup - and I have 30 gb of diskspace free on the drive
