    New in GW sneek peeks

    http://us.games-workshop.com/news/sn...0K/default.htm

New to the sneak peek section: The Eldar Wave Serpent!

o.k. it's been there for a couple of days now, but I thought I would just like to spread the news.

.....I don't know why, but it looks the same to me.....
"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when my fear is gone I will turn and face fear's path, and only I will remain."

wow...not only is this old news, i also posted it a week ago...

AND GW has never made a wave serpent before. And if you're refering to the FW's then your horribly wrong, or bad at recognizing pictures. The Gw one is much more boxy and less sleek than the FW one. :Slap:

It was a little abrupt when all of a sudden, when the sneek peeks were updated, to find an eldar unit considering they've been posting new SM's the whole period. Nevertheless it looks nice

honestly, i think its ugly compared to the FW one. the turret is the worst thing, however, there is another turret style supposidly with a gunner in the box that looks a little better. The best news is, it comes with full sprues of all eldar heavy weapons.

I'll stick with my FW turrets and wave generators though, but i might swap the troop compartments if i can pick them up cheap enough eventually.

The old converted one with the turret made from a plastic spoon was, and still is, the best Wave Serpent. It was back in the White Dwarf when Mordheim and Rites of War came out...

238 was the issue number, and I followed the instructions to the letter - except, of course, I had to fiddle with the weaponry and eventually gave it twin-linked Scatter Lasers, as well as a D-Cannon and two Missile Launchers (perfectly legal under the Vehicle Design Rules). Won me many a firefight against my mate's Orks, it did, and even knocked a structure point off my other mate's super-heavy troop transport. Ahh, the memories.

(Shrike's notes: Rites of War was a turn-based strategy game that used the Panzer General 2 engine. I am NOT getting it confused with Dawn of War, which we all know and love.)
