While I personally think the scar on the lip actually added a lot of character to the face and I preferred the image with that in it, I do see where they are coming from with the Fencer's Cut. This is the mod team's decision. Either way, the texturing job on the skin and eyes is just mind-blowing.
I'm liking the idea of lipstick. Remember, I already animated the homosexuality--it's not too late to get it back in the mod...

Seriously, this idea of an exposed face is quite cool. A chaos version of the marine librarian, we missed so much by having a helmet on the Chaos Sorceror, although it was my fav of the minis to be based on. The idea of facial animation is great. Many times have I had a cinematic moment zoomed in when Gabriel has mumbled through closed lips his stirring battle cry. Keep it up, TS team. This is shaping up to be quite nice.
Suggestion. Lead em' along a little more. Release fewer WIP shots. You can get constructive critique in-house, then dazzle the masses later. My 2 cents.
I'm not so sure about the makeup. It was completely normal and heterosexual for egyptians a few thousand years ago to wear makeup. So he might get that typical eyeliner.

I say just sell them for parts on the open market--Assuming they're white you should get a decent price; more than enough to justify your trouble. Look at good old Mike McVey's Ahriman. He's painted in pathetic, totally homosexual colors, in fact all colors but a royal blue the Sons like to paint their armor in.

They were Red/White, now they are Blue/Yellow.
As for the colors of Tzeentch, they are pink, puce and/or purple.
Just like Mit Gas pointed out, our team has read quite a few books/articles about Tzeentch and the Thousand Sons.
As for Ahriman, I actually like the purple color on the robes/armor on the Mike McVey version.
Makes him stand out more, when he's standing in the middle of a group of Thousand Sons.
I also like the arrow pattern on the bottom of the robes.
On the other hand, the staff and the horns are better depicted on Kirsten Mickelburgh's model.

I think LC: nurgle is a good read - however these books will only really satisfy you if you like WH Fantasy as it's pretty much only concentrating on that. That said, the Sons and Magnus are all mentioned in the LC: Tzeentch but nothing you don't know from other sources.
The only thing I didn't like about the LCs are the "handwritten" parts, pretty hard to decipher IMO.
