    He and I talked about Inferno Bolts should be allowed to Rubric Marines in tier 3.

    Unfortuantely I can't reach Hraefn since the X-Mas holidays so I fear for the worst already.

    However the Mod will live on, even if it means I have to change all the parameters of the units myself! You have to thank Rough Rider for the implementation into the game by the way, he doesn an ace job if I may say so myself. :Slap:

    The next two models that will be skinned are these:



    The texture is a 512 x 512, good guessing on your part. We didn't know big they should back then and it loses too much if reduced to 256 - and since they don't have as many units (and therfore textures) as normal CSM armies, it doesn't matter too much. I'll make sure to post some early voicework for the rubric marines soon as well so that guys can give us some "good" crits on that.

    We are in need of coders, F/X guys and whatever you can imagine!

    And once again thanks for the nice compliments! If you've got any questions, just post it here, I'll try my best to answer you. And in case anyone is able to see Hreafn online, please tell him to check back.

    well relic use 512's so I wouldnt worry, yeah I havent seen Hraefn online for a long time either

    Question: What are inferno bolts? They sound really cool...and powerful, if it is in tier 3. Mit Gas, the center is the aspiring sorcerrer and the left is the sorcerrer lord? I am guessing, but from looking at the models, that is what they are. I can code What do you need?

    erm I remeber writing the lead artist of Relic telling him we would be willing to create an expansion.

    Back then he said they haven´t decided to do one and have to wait how sales develop first. And they don´t hire freelancers.

    A pity. Now we have to work for free


    Hraefn unfortunately is missing since the big killer waves in the pacific. This might or might not mean anything. We hope the best and fear the worst. Hopefully he was located in Ireland and didn´t have the money to do anything than stay at home.

    Anyway- if he comes back I hope he is proud of what we are doing

    Can someone help? The links at the front of the thread don't work and I can't find the mod on dowfiles.com. A link to the download page or something would be great.
    Love the thousand sons, used to colect them in tt myself, but Ive switched over to a tau army.

    In fluff inferno bolts are standard boltgun/pistol rounds that have been imbued with psychic power, making them much more deadly. In TT they are only available to tzeentch models and the effect is that bolt rounds have a blast marker.

    I really hope Hreafn shows himself again here - apart from that I would've never thought he's from Sweden since his written English was perfect. (Not that I want to discredit Sweden's educational system here)

    DarthVaygr: Yeah, you've got it right, the "candlestick" is the lord and the egyptian one is the leader of the squads. About the coding - if Hraefn doesn't show up we need pretty much to be coded actually! Like the troops having double health, firing twice as much but walk as if in complex terrain (really slow!) and so on - and of course spells for the sorcerers!

    Nope, I didn't use SoundFroge as I neve rheard from it. But I'll make sure to check that program out, maybe I can get better results with it.

    I've uploaded the latest work of Hraefn that I had onto my space, get itHERE!

    I hope you enjoy it - remember however that this doesn't include the new TS CSM model as it still needs to get its final animations.

    tried the mod =) i would just like to say that you guys need to find a balance to the rubric marines, i was able to kill the enemy lord and his 4 squads of marines with only my sorc. lord and 2 rubric marine groups with hardly any losses.

    the textures and models are looking great!

    Well, rubric marines as far as I know should be a bit better than twice their number of CSM or SM. They have double the health and slightly more attack. Although, in their current state, they need a cost increase, perhaps to 400 req, and maybe a squad cap increase to 3? The second change would hurt lategame, and the first one would KILL t3h early game.

    Unfortuantely there must be changed a lot to get the whole thing balanced; I think in Hraefn's version they're not even slower than normal troops! But we'll try to balance that out but first we need to get everything in game before we mess with those values I'd say. I still wait for Hraefn to show up but if he doesn't, I'll have to "recruit"/ask for new coding talents that will do this important work.

    problem

    I tried to download the file but it say "Error, Site can not be found". Something must be wrong with the site address or the site is down for some reason. Could someone test the link to see if it works properly?

    how many posts per page do you see DarthVaygr? i see 30. set it as high as possible in the User CP at the top of the forums. page 18 for you would be page 9 for me.

    i didnt actually get a shortcut, should i just redownload the mod or is there something else i can do?

    i found something that might explain it
    after looking back over the thread, i foud someone talking about "thousandsons.module" but when i tried to find the file, it was nowhere to be found. so i tried to redownload it. but it said "thousandsons.module" could not be opened.

    well, not really difficult to made.
    download another mod and copy the new module file you got in your warhammer folder.
    rename it and put the name of the thousand sons mod
    edit it, and where you see namefolder, change and put the name of the thousand son folder, after you'll be able to play this mods.
    PS: edit thousand sons.bat to see the name of the thousands sons mod

    so mitgas, do we have a timeframe as to when the TS mod will have rubric marines?

    i feel that releaseing just the rubric marines will wet thier appitites enough so that while they enjoy the marines we can complete everything else.

    but thats just my opion

    Rubric Marines are already ingame, and have many *but not all* of their animations. We'll release, when the time is right! We're texturing the sorcerer lord and dread. See Mit Gas's siggy for a link to the forum. That is where updates and such are posted.
