    Just wondering a few things, I think that the 1k sons should have the option of some sort of deep strike you know just like mthe marines, since they wont be having the avalbability of carrying plasmas or missile launchers wich will affect em trully bad when they encounter vehicles or much more enemie infantry.

    not true...all chaos termies can deepstrike (but only if the special rule is in play). Which is unlike SM termies which can always deepstrike.

    Yep, under the 'Terminator Armour' description under wargear on Page 17 of the Chaos Codex. "...Terminators may teleport onto the battlefield and set up with the Deep Strike mission special rule if the mission allows these rules to be used."

    And none of the sections for any book of chaos forbides this action for their terminators, of course including the book of Tzeentch, either chosen terminators or Ruburic (spelling) terminators.

    Plus I play the TS (true TS army, not the lame Tzeentch army btw and proud of losing too ).

    of course if it's fluffy or not is another story....

    Havind a deep strike ability in tier 3 ISNT going to make up for them not having plasma guns or whatever. However it you want to add it - fine, more fun but Pitalla, realize that you cant deepstrike OUT of battle anyway. Are you talking about teleport?

    I've got a question......

    Do you prefer him to be blue (same blue as the Marines and therefore teamcolorable) or should I make his feathers more complex (and therefore impressive) but not teamcolorable?

    I'm still undecided and the poll at our forums is really close (like 45% to 55%), so i really need more opinions.

    If he has those colors, no. I mean, sure, his eyes and the gold will be tcable but not the feathers..if they were completely blue, they would be tc-able....but then again tc-stuff looses quite a lot qualitywise. It's not bad with the marines but would hurt this guy i fear.

    Make him not TC but his clothes should be. Just as the Avatar and the BloodThirster are always the same colur but their clothes match the team....or is that a skin i have installed....

    could you release one version (non team colourable) with the mod, with the option to download a seperate team colourable version if you wanted? Don't know if it is possible or how much extra work this would be....
    This way people could choose which they wanted - team colourable or not.

    If this is not possible, the don't make the wings team colourable. Only the robe and accessories should be TC-able, otherwise you're going to get some really stupid looking army colours and I don't think you should leave such a brilliant model open to such abuse. Everyone has seen a bright pink army - and all your hard work would be ruined by some colourblind idiots. With your uber unit give the player a little control, but you should have the most input into how this baby looks!!

    I'd vote to let the wings non teamcolourable too.
    Having the robe teamcolourable is more than enough to make the distinction IMO (there are not supposed to be swarms of Lords of Change on the battlefield anyway).
    This way, you'll be totally free to give the wings vibrant and radiant coulours, with many shades and hues, as befits a Tzeenchian demon.
    Just my 2 eurocents.

    Both the model and the texture looks exceptional!

    Maybe you could do both...for the wings and the body!
    Relic said a few times that teamcolours can be overlayed and so blended together. Eldar guardarians have such texture. So if you have two teamcolour slots with the right colours...then you could make a gradient like blending between them...not easy, but possible.

    At last the Dark Crystal has a new home.
    Leave the purple/blue hue on the body. It looks awesome. Some of the best painted LoC have multicolored wings, very rainbow like. it sound scheesy but when properly executed, which you guys would have no probs with, it looks really good. Thus the wings must remain on the detail sheet. I'm with the team colour trim or cloth people. Don't ruin the texture opportunity this brilliant model represents.

    the only thing that doesn't fit is the cloth...to clean to sweet.... looks like a girl dressed him up to look cute. But, it shouldn't hard to change this. Maybe a turn and dirty shirt or simple make the white paintable.

    1. I assume the headpiece textures aren't yet finished.

    2. Maybe it's the POV but the hands and feet should be (much) larger than human anatomical proportions. The fingers and *nails* should be really long, as befits a magic user.

    3. The eyes should be open wider so the entire pupil is uncovered by the lid. This makes the face more psychotic/menacing, rather than sleepy. You may even want Egyptian eyeliners.

    IMHO.

    mit gas: mm i like the coloring but maybe put even more colors in there, he is a lord of change and in my mind atleast i always seen them as multicolor madness

    Also i got a question are you going t oadd effects on him like glowing eyes or some sort of halo like colors schems swirling around him like the farseer? would be cool if you did. After looking at the witchhunters team work with lightning i think the lord of change would def be one of the units that could benifit fro msuch effects!!

    PS i love this mod, still i wish you guys could add ahriman cos i like his cabal of scorserors much better then the fools lead by magnus

    (Sigh!) Really sad, that you have to use the original GW design for the LOC. It's the only greater demon where I really hate the miniature. It looks like an oversized chicken to me. The render art is pretty good, but for once I'd have liked some 'modifications' to correct the bad miniature design of GW.

    But at least the rest of your models look tremendous. Compensates for the LOC more than enough.

    Not that I want to put you down in any way but I think most people like the Lord of Change design by GW. You're the first that doesn't liek it I know of. In fact I personally prefer it to all other Daemons (although I love flamers)..but well, I guess everybody has his own taste.

    Oh well, he'll get other things to compensate for it.

    Just watched the Dark Crystal to get a feel of the Skeksis (many guys told me about how they look alike and they do in a way, yesss) and those rotten ornamental robes are really cool. Which means I'll revise it quite a bit. Oh well, you'll see him again when he's done.

    Don't see why that isn't possible, you would just need to work out the length of the animations and which sync death it was linked to . The best animations to link into i guess would be when the Force Commander kills the blood thirster, when the Blood Thirster chops off the head of the Avatar etc...

    I'd imagine tweaking your animations to fit into this would be necessary but it's entirely possible, just takes more time to do right than a regular sync kill.

    I'm doing the same for my spirit walker currently, If you wanted any information on my findings when i try to tie in those specific sync kills i could probably post up a list of which animation is linked to which sync death and the times at which each event happens to save other people haveing to work it out. Let me know if your interested.

    A suggestion:

    I'd like to see Ahriman, but not as we know him... I'd like to see him with his helmet off.

    Ahriman is one of the most popular characters in the W40k universe, but like many characters we know and love (like Kharn, for example), we never get to see his face - in fact, this is the chance to show the only de-helmed Thousand Son in the mod. It will also visibly seperate him from the other sorcerors.

    So please, take away his inferno pistol and tuck his helmet under his arm (he mostly zaps people with his big staff anyway). Give him a Greek face and skin colour (because the Greeks probably ran the fabled library of Alexandria during the time when Alexander and the Greeks ruled Egypt - it only seems right), a short white beard and a long mane of hair blowing in an ethereal wind (don't try and make him look like Gandalf though). Then for the eyes - blue of course, with some sort of bright white/blue light shining from them.

    There should probably also be a whirlwind of magic around him (lots of sparkly bits).

    Please consider this suggestion - I think it might make the mod that little bit better and the armies of change a little less faceless.

    You don't know how many fans would want our heads for unmasking Ahriman, besides it would be fanfiction how he looks after all.

    I for one neither think he's looking like a greek not that he has a beard. 1k Sons have middle-european/american skin color jugding from the official art where you can see them unmasked. I would've imagined them to look more egyptian but they aren't.

    You see, Boba Fett ruled until they killed the mystery surrounding him. Unmasking Ahriman is the same error as showing Boba Fett as kid.

    If GW would show everything of their universe, it would get boring.

    I think the 1000 sons mod teams work is awesome and can't wait till they are finished ( although ego can some times get in the way ) I still say as one Mod team to another Great job. I personally like the Changer of Ways... and Skeksis.. ooh gave me a flashback of when I was a kid.. that movie was awesome ( back then )
