Official Dawn of War Mapping Contest

Think you have what it takes to create an uber-map for Dawn of War? Want to have your map judged by Relic developers, and released to the community so thousands of players can enjoy your work?

Post some screenshots and a download link to your map in the 'DoW Mapping Contest' thread at the official forums (http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=138), and the team behind Dawn of War will run it through the gauntlet. The best 3 maps will be released to the community in a special Map Pack, and the winners will receive signed Dawn of War posters.

Please remember to include (in your post) a short description of your map, the number of intended players, and any other information you think might help us when judging it. Contest ends January 30th, 2005 (so you have about a month).

So post away!!! We can't wait to see what you've come up with. You can submit as many maps as you like, but we will only select one per map creator. If you have any questions, post them here and I will answer them.

quick question: Are we allowed to enter maps that have already been released to the public?

Would you take maps that add other things to it? Say, new decals, fx, or something or the other? Because those will require additional files edited/added. Will this be released as a download when we log onto gamespy? Or will this community map pack hav to be manually downloaded. I think the first suggestion would be much better

Sure, we'll take maps with new content, but the maps will be judged based on how fun they are to play, so having new content is obviously not required.

We'll look into distribution options once we know what the winning maps are like.

I would make a map if I could find the Editor. I am not interested in making mods, I just want to make some maps. Can someone please point me in the right direction, as I've spent the last week looking for this elusive editor, but so far have had no luck.
