I know Nemesis Force Weapons can count as power weapons also, but I was wondering if that extended to other force weapons. I haven't read anything about force weapons (other than NFW) counting as power weapons though.
Am I correct?

YES, you are correct. The Codex for an army that has Force Weapons available will clearly tell you so in the armoury/wargear section.
yuppers.

Whoopsie. As i cruised through the new Space Marine Codex i realised that there are no Force Weapon rules present. This is the same as Lightning Claws, but both are located on page 46 of the 4th ED rulebook, and also in the Daemonhunters Codex (funny how the only armies that can use them (force weapons) are infact Space Marines, Daemonhunters and i assume Witch Hunters). I was expecting GW to use logic... Guess i expected too much.

Check page 46 of the rulebook. Also, I think Imperial Guard can have force weapons.

Well how about that one.. My opinion of Sanctioned Psykers has just been bumped up a notch. And Cfoley, i just said see page 46. *laughs*
I'll have to take of picture of the sanctioned Psyker scene i did for kicks. Took away his staff and made it took like he's rubbing his forehead from a Migraine, and then I took a Commissar, warped it a bit, and now it looks like the Commissar is offering him some Advil instead of blowing the poor guys head off. Next Golden Demon award is in the bag!
That oughta reduce your opinion of Sanctioned psykers to what it should be: dirt.
One can judge the greatness of a man by how he treats his inferiors.

Damn! You beat me to it. I knew I shouldn't have actually checked the reference!
lol.
Yeah, I had looked at the BBB and it didn't mention force weapons being power weapons. Was asking just in case
Thanks all.
Nemesis Force weapons are tricky. Basically thier effect changes depending on the skill of the Grey Knight wielding it.
In the hands of a standard GK trooper. All it does is gives them S6.
In the hands of a Justicar or GK Terminator, it counts as a S6 power weapon.
In the hands of a Grey Knight Grandmaster, it counts as a S6 force weapon.
All other force weapons ignore saves as well as allow the instant kill special ability.
Erm, a force weapon ignores a armour saves. So does a power weapon. Hence sayin a force weapon is also a power weapon is, to be blunt, a bit dumb.
Why isn't this thread dead anyway, the question got answered with the very first reply.
