Killing Ork Camps ??

I find that several times I've beaten the Green Skins down in the open field of Battle, only to 'take it to them' and pursue them in to thier base...

Thats where the problem starts...

The damn Orks have turrets on every building (almost) and end up chewing up my assualt troops (usually early game --2 Banshees, FS, & 2 Gaurds) before I can do any significant damage to their base

When I FoF outta there, I almost always seem to lose a Banshee squad or my FS... :argh:


Whats the work around? Not pursue them until I have a BL or 4 ?

Never attack an ork base without things to easily take out their buildings.

Brightlances have longer range than all their buildings.

They may be quite far up the tech tree, but they work wonders of trakks 2.

yeah, just make sure the ork is beaten down and youve capped his outlying points for yourself and then wait for brightlances. Same thing if you find someones got a nest of heavy bolter turrets in their base - as long as you take his SPs he wont be making any kind of a serious comeback.

indeed, although as hammer has chosen a banshee build and has already won the game (effectively) its probably most efficient to simply go for BLs.

Yeah what the above said really, maybe build d cannon outside his base too...

Never attack an ork base though, just cap the map and wait for the timer...alot of ork players will just wait in there base for you and grin if you attack as they get back into the game.
