using heavy weapons effectivly

Ok a question about heavy weapons i have found that rockits are very helpfull but i tend to place them on sluggas is then when i should really have shootas to carry them.Also is there any point in big shoota and is it good to mix a squad of sluggas with flamers and rokkits or keep them seperate any advice or tips would help thx :bandit:

nah get shoota's and f2 stance them with rockits or big shootas, it works better.

You need rokkitz against any vehicle that surely will be thrown at you. Also rokkitz take out LP's fast! (Listening Posts). Usefull for guerilla-war.
Usually I put flamers on my BM (Big Mek) squad, cuz they alwayz telly into cc (close combat). Stormboyz also jump into cc, useful. Behind them: 4-6 Shootasquads. Every squad has 3 rokkitz, 12-18 rokkitz works great against any vehicle or building. But you have to be v e r y careful not to get them either in cc or to get shot. You got different units for that!
Alwayz buy bigga boom upgrade. Rokkitz squads are very useful, if you handle them carefully.
When only the others hero is left, so no buildings or vehicles, target him with rokkitz. He won't be able to even stand up, or use any power like Orbital Bombardment, thus making him very useless. After 30 sec he's dead. This workz from 6-8 rokkitz upwards. That's an important strategy!

Acually i find shoota's and slugga's with nob leaders the best counter to WS or shee's, i find myself using them more and more.

well good mirco, and what to get with shoota's, cause they will focus on your NOb squads, not your shoota's, half the time, with mad docs you wil always rock.

Basicly what i found out to be useful is to have your standard sluggas chace the WS around and have some shoota boyz w/big shootas tear them up. Big Shootas work will vs. heavy infantry aswell. Remember to research the "more dakka" ASAP as well.

Be aware that orks can field an almost unbelievable amount of heavy weapons by fielding 4 man squads with 3 heavy weapons each.

I found that an almost guaranteed way to lose. Attaching an extra 120/30 cost to units with no health is a great way to waste resources.

People come from the SM/CSM schools where it's almost always a good idea to max heavy weapon your troops. I just don't think that's the case with Orcs. Give squads heavy weapons you've just lost your awesome dmg:cost ratio.

Flamer squads are perfect. I fought one chaos opponent who;s attacked were rendered useless. PSM squattered to wartraks behind flaming shootas. Morale was broken instantly.

Flamers are great tools against WS, with slugga's when they chase them down, cuase if thier morale breaks their doomed, shootas shoot away from afar and kill WS very fast i dont bother with Big shootas i get rockits it makes them fall over, lol, and it slows them consierably, shootas with nosb are even better cuase all the fire will hit the nob not the shootas.
