    Wrong Disc Inserted??

Hi there everyone, this is my first post on this site and I've only just got my hands on DoW!

I installed it without any problems arising but now whenever I try to play it, by clicking the desktop icon, I recieve the same message every time: Wrong Disc Inserted... Retry / Cancel.

What do I do? It can't be my CD key. I've tried installing it using a different disc drive (this helped when I played Theme Park World) and just so you know, after every install I rebooted before trying the game and when it didn't work I uninstalled it then rebooted before trying the install from the other disc drive.

PLEASE can someone help me, I've waited sooooooo long to get this game, the shops near me are no longer stocking it!!

I hope it's something simple that you can easily help me with.

    cheers, bravestarr5

Its securom - Alcohol is commonly used to pirate CDs so securom simply wont allow you to run the game if you have it installed. So in answer to your question, yes you do have to install it, use it then uninstall it again every time you want to use it if you want to be able to play games protected by securom.

It depends. I have Alcohol120 installed and DoW runs from my system. It might be your optical drive - see if any firmware updates are available. If you can, try a different drive, or try playing on someone else's computer (just to rule out a faulty disc). If you can't get it to work, contact THQ tech support and securom tech support.
