Big Mek wont repair

    Big Mek wont repair

    You pop down a building, you click on your big mek; "repairing it boss" he shows before promptly doing nothing.

    Dunno if it's a 1.3 thing or a known problem.

    are you trying to use a big mek to finish building something? If so the bug is that the mek says "repairing it boss", not that he does nothing.

    I'd live with that, but he actually does nothing, just wanders up to the LP or whatever and stands there.

    ok, well its odd that he responds - he shouldnt be able to build unfinished buildings.

    yes hes just a repairer - he wont lower himself to doing grot's work

    However he is the best repairer. According to version 1.2 stats his repair was cheap at 20% of value. All other repairers including gretchin cost 100% to repair damage. Bonesingers cost 20% too.

    gretchin repair cost was 100%? If thats true then Id say its a bug - afaik all other builders repaired at a cost of 20%

    No, Servitor repair was 100% too, same with Heretic. Only BS and Mek had 20% repair costs.
    There is a thread about all you wanted to know about builders which Moe linked to in his thread with useful links. The info is there. I checked the builder repair costs myself, if memory serves me right...

    When you say "repair costs" what are you referring to? Power? Requisition?

    I'm a noob player on the DOW DC Hyperion Map. Playing the Orks.

    Following some strat advice I read on the region (Maliart's, and TY) I split the forces in two, and immediately marched one to the Relic point in the SW, the other, SE. I'm fighting the Necron.

    Resistance SW was heavy, with a full fledged Necron base there, including a monolith and the Lich Lord or whatever the guy is. However, managed to destroy all of them, base, etc, et al, and cap the two SP's and the RP. The Relic Point SE was neither capped nor guarded.

    Okay, well, the problem: the single squad of Gretchin have inexplicably lost the ability to repair anything. I tell them to repair, and they managed to get one of my tanks and a few wartrak's back in the green, then suddenly, no more repair. They animate like they're working on it but two of them get the "wrench I'm idle" animation.

    I've tried moving the unit in need of repair away from any other units so they have a clear field, without which I've seen it prevent the grots from working (like building mines) to no avail.

    This is a killer on the Hyperion map, as I can't build any more units. I lost a good portion of my forces taking the SW relic site (in fact, since the SE was a cakewalk, I had to rush troops and meks from there to SW to help).

    I have plenty of REQ, but I think the power is zero'd. If I need it to repair, we're SOL I think. I have the entire rest of the map to conquer, and it's full of Necrons.

    (come to think of it, I have built LP's on some of the capping points; maybe I'll have to destroy them to get some power back . . . assuming it's not a resource on this map, that, once spent, is gone)
