It has begun.

Funny Squid.![]()
Pretty cool, are they doing something there, I dunno, waiting for paint to dry maybe, or is the yellow tape simply because you aren't allowed to walk up or down them?
#10
viewing the ladder and stuff i believe the photo was taken place before e3 actually occured so the paint is probably drying
#11
Who do they get to do stuff like that?
"Okay. Your job is to perfectly recreate this image of Link on those stairs over there. Yes, everyone will be walking all over your work of art, and it'l be removed entirely after e3, but here's lots of money."

That's too cool to walk on.
It's not painted on, people. They take a giant sheet of sticker plastic, print the digital art on that, then cut it into little stair-sized strips. I've seen it done before on the Toronto subway system, albeit with decidedly uncool shampoo ads.
Details.
Why is this even a thread?
I agree with Elixir.... I couldn't walk on that... :P
Edit: I don't care... It's still cool :P
#15
Because it looks cool?
I sorta figured that's how they did it... but why does how they did it matter?![]()
I'll be mainstream and say: that's neat.
#17
I'm gonna go there with a big raspberry slushie and strategically "trip" on the stairs to spill it to give Link a bad case of acne.

I'm gonna go against mainstream and say that is the worst thing I have ever seen
JK, really cool, hope all those feet don't wreak it
#19
That was a horrible pun, Squid.
My Interceptor is better than your Interceptor.
#20
Squid's pun has been the most interesting thing in the thread so far
Well, I guess it's neat... nothing special tho.
#21
I love this one from the Stareways website:
I actually get the feeling the man on the left is about to fall off of Dali's moustache.
So that there is in fact something in this thread to ... I don't know, discuss?I sorta figured that's how they did it... but why does how they did it matter?
It takes a lot of argument
to convince most people
that they are lying.

mmm, I like sausages, but they make me fat
here, some E3 stuff
http://www.gamespot.com/e3/
Quake 4 interview n stuffs
http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/614/614939p1.html
one disappointing thing though with E3, no spaceships, not a single one, not even slightly, where did they go ?
plus, can I afford 3 consoles and a PC ? searching questions for us all to ponder
I couldn't walk on that either
for the simple reasons its printed on the sides of the steps...
hahaha, i am ridiculously unfunny.
The Dali pic is much cooler anyway.

I imagine it's the same technique used to paint ads on the side of skyscrapers (This is done quite a bit in downtown L.A.)
#27
I've already reserved my copy at gamestop. Eagerly awaiting it to come in. Link is the second reason I have 2 gamecubes, Metroid Prime 1&2 being the first.
There is power in words.

..It took me until the second page to get Squid's pun. Now that I've got it, I'm afraid that I can no longer look upon this thread with any modicum of seriousness.
Bad Squid! You've killed a ridiculously pointless thread for me. >.O
On the other hand you've kept me snickering quietly at 3 AM for about ten minutes. I am so easily amused..![]()
