    Hiigaran Marine Destoryer

    Since the production on the Progenitor TC has slowed down because of the lack of any converters... I decide to wait and use my time to build Hiigarian ships! ^_^

    Ok alittle info on the arments on the Destroyer:

    Bottom 2 long pannels: Missile Launchers,

    Top 4 turrets: Anti-captial ship/frigate cannons

    Bottom 6 mounds: Anti-fighter/corvette pds guns

    Dude,that is some BEAUTIFUL work.

    Please what ever you do,panel it with the same level of detail given to the stock version of the BC and carrier.

    Love the PDS mod but i must say some of the new ships like that BC and that other new bulky ship [for got its name] just doesn't look right,like it wasn't finished.

    Oh,by the way...an extra :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :thumb: :bow2: because they look totally different and the best part...they aren't thin,like some other ships that i have seen that look like they missed a few meals :nod:

    Hope to see some new vagyr destroyers :smash:

    But I think that the round engine are are is not good idea. Make engines as in stock destryer. Such layout would be better.

    Its going to take some time for me to get aquainted with Vaygr designs since I really haven't ever moddeled a vaygr ship...hmm.... quick queston:

    What excatly is important on a vagyr ship? Power? Speed? Armor? Cost?

    Ok, I'm going to call it a night but be sure to look around tommorow for updates with the progenitor mod....^_^ v0.3 comes out tommmorw with screenshots and major major changes. And of course a Vaygr ship.

    You know what?...unless you design it with some special weapon that no other ship in the game has,it really doesn't matter because as long as those new ships work well ingame with stock code,players can just recode them to their liking.

    Its going to take some time for me to get aquainted with Vaygr designs
    A real simple design change on a vaygr destroyer would be to take the stock version's hull that has one section longer than the other and increase the shorter section so that its the same length as the other.

    Also give it a second turret that sits behind the first top turret,only this one can fire at targets behind it.

    I'm going to do a mothership. I really think that it doesn't make sense why all of the higgy ships are long and thin while the motherships stands real tall....It seems its out of the design flow....

    Scratch that.. what my mothership turned out to look like was a sweet ass looking carrier.... Right now i have the hull and Ive gotten about 3/4 of the nessicary hul expansions done(the detail). I know for sure this one is going to catch Pds's attention...^_^ Umm.. but one thing.. I don't want to add turrets since if you guys do use it that you can put the turrets that the pds mod already has...^_^ .......

    I sense a bit of me getting ahead of myself ... but damn its fun!

    Yay! Well then you'll most likely be getting that from Pds with thier permission and mine of course since its not possible for me to put them into hod unless.. well ok Zatch if you see this gimme a ftp account please ^_^. But Pds asked first... so its fine with me but lets just see what Tel has to say whenever he sees this thread and my Pm.

    Oh so dustwars isnt having any luck either with hodders...hmmm thats a shame. It seems the whole community lacks that skill pretty much...well I hope you guys find one as I hope for me too.

    In the carrier I made.. I kinda made a little somthing that really doesnt need to be there.. but it just looks soo cool... so I have a little purpose if Pds wants it.. it can build one type of captial ship... the falconeer.

    i do not like the engine layout. looks wierd. the back of the engine is also bulging. i'd prefer it be flat all around~

    some good ideas, but you've gone a bit off with the engine bay. have the top overhang like a normal hiigaran ship, but have shallower engine ports. other than that, cool

    What I really like about my carrier is that the frigate bay, capital bay, and small craft bay all connect with a long tunne that opens a way for realism to take into effect(to make it more realistic)

    Yeah ill fix it. It shouldnt take long at all.

    The khopesh is the best one,i trully love this because i wanted to code a pulsar fighter so that it would have another pulse cannon on the bottom[ until i found out that its cannon is not a subsystem] so i couldn't do it due to a totally lack of understanding 3D modeling programs...DAMN MY LIMITED MENTAL CAPACITY :joy: :dolt: :moo:

    But if you look at the new Hiig cruiser and compare the level of detail [quality wise] to that of the carrier or BC,you will notice that the cruiser looks very ruff,the paneling detail is not the same,therefore it looks like it was added to the game instead of really being part of the game.

    The khopesh andships like the railgun fighter from the Complex mod [another favorite] look like they are part of the game instead of looking like added models because they seemed to have been made from existing models and artwork and then rearranged to give you the look that they have.

    There is a mod that somone made that i have and they built this new carrier.

    It a thin design and had a turret on only one side and a top turret.

    But it looks like part of HW2 because the author of the mod kit-bashed the existing HW2 carrier and built this new one out of that.

    All the reconizable sections [paneling detail] of the HW2 carrier can be seen in his new one,which really looks like part of the original carrier on its side.

    There is one thing,are all the guns on these ships subsystems?

    Because if they are subsystems then thats even better because players can interchange them with others through text coding instead of remodeling them.

    What i would like to see [at least i don't know of anyone who has done this so maybe you could be the first] is a missile and torpedo launching subsystem.

    Up till now carriers and BC's launch the torpedos from a turret that looks built for gunfire but there aren't any missile tube-like launchers.

    The closest thing to this are the submunition launchers on the bottom side of the carrier but if you try to code this on another ship it will stick out halfway.

    I tried coding this on the carrier in place of the gunturret but it won't turn to fire and only half of the model could be seen.

    The rest sat inside of the hull and if it did fire it would damage the ship.

    If you could model a torpedo tube type of launcher and a missile launcher version that would be a subsystem,then we could add those to existing carriers and destroyers,in turn,creating new classes of ships :yippee:

    Look at the vaygr MS...now thats what i call a MOTHERSHIP.

    Damn thing is the titanic from space.

    Yeah i don't know why the Hiigs are either thin or flat and most of the time if someone makes a new model,its under the same mold as many of the worlds most famous supermodels...thin and flat.

    I wish that you could resize models in HW2 through coding the same way that you can in generals and DOW.

    I would have made the Hiig MS twice the size it is now.

    Your ships look realistic and bulky,as if they could carry the facilites to build most of the ships in HW2.

    In the current game,a torpedo frigate is about 1/3 the size of the carrier so realisticly it could not hold a second one and yet still be able to build corvettes and fighters,while the flatworm thin AMC cargo container ship is much longer than the carrier and doesn't do anything unless you mod it.

    Carriers should be as long as the AMC and have more girth to them.

    Well i still can't wait till you release those ship because either i will add them to the game and make them the main ships [carrier,destroyer] and the current ones secondary support,or i will just out right replace the current ones in place of these and do a Donald Trump on them...YOUR FIRED

    Turns out that the interceptor main body looks more like a battlecruiser/heavy destroyer.... It looks pretty kick ass and Im planing on releasing it tonight.

    Well none of the ships are going to be ready in game till either I figure out how to convert obj to hod and get a texturer, or till Pds or Dustwars get around to it once I make some finishing touches and put it in obj.
