Bug with all armies regarding power production

Ok, now this bug doesn't happen ALL the time but on some occasions it does and even reseting the game doesn't help it.

I've seen the bug on all the different game speeds, armies, and resource rate gathering. It's always producing roughly 3/5 of the power its meant to produce. This happens with any and all generators I buid but doesn't seem to effect the computer armies since they buil eccesive amounts of robots or what-have-you, on simply normal difficulty (so they only have around 6 generators), while I have to build at the least one extra base to match up with the rate they muct be recieving their power income.

This bug is completely random and now, for example, seems to have gone away for my last 3 skirmishes or so. But this has hapened before and after a few more it might simply crop up again for a whole bunch of new games.

Is this like something with my cd, or something that they could tackle with new patch?

Moving to tech assistance until we have reproduction steps.

Replays would be helpful...Im guessing that you were playing with "shared resources" enabled.

erm....im kinda the opposite of a computer wiz kid :P, don't know how to make a replay. If you tell me I'll try though

Isn't shared resouces only used in skirmishes when you're in a team with someone? Cause I wasn't when this happened any time

You can make a replay of a whole match by simply clicking on the Save Replay button you see in the Score Tab which is displayed after every match. This replay is saved in the DoW Playback folder.

Shared resources can be used in skirmishes and custom games. I'm guessing this is all in your mind, but please do try a replay if your Power income is lesser than it really should be.

erm, sounds like shared resourses to me, no bug, just turn it off so the comp allies dont stela your power. Also it wont be seen in a 1v1 because there is noone to steal your power/req.

    That must be the problem.

Save the replay as Esrhan described. Shared resources does only effect team games, yes - if you have been experienceing this in 1v1 games then there might be a bug...Ill have to look at a replay though.

Are you able to play online? A bug like this should cause a sync error when playing with other people.

Ok thanks I'm gonna try find a game where this happens (Im tellin you I WAS NOT playing with allies during this thing!!)

Remember though it seems random enough so it might take a while to find again

I like shared resource when I playing a race like marines and my teammate is playing Eldar. Hell I'll even give him resources to start gens near me that I can finish. :-). Paying 135 for gen rather then 165 is a much better deal to me. :-)

Actually.... I once had a 1 vs 1, had 5 generators and it only gave me about 1/second (It should give 5/sec) even while the text said +50 next to it. I´ve only seen this once, online. I was already winning the game so i didnt pay it that much attention.

Naturally, being a dumbass that i am, didnt save the replay.

Oh, for the love of God, the computer player always outproduces you in power if you play on the harder, hardest, and insane difficulty setting.
What happens in Greenville, SC stays in Greenville, SC.

How many turrets did you have? Because don't they reduce power producing rates?

That would be a great feature since it would hurt turret farmers but I never heard of that one before.

[Vert]: I thought that only the insane computer was given "cheat" funds?

The insane computer gets 120% of your income. I don't know how the other computers work but I do know the Easy AI works off of a handicap. The normal AI works with no resource handicap. I don't know much about Hard or Hardest. The few people that said they have seen this with human opponents have pique my interest. I need replays to be posted of this bug for me to believe it is anything other then a wild imagination though.

Guess i made that one up in my mind then awhile back, but you are right that would be a cool feature.

I ahve had the same problem before, i had resources on high so a base would be producing 30 each right, well i had two fully built bases and i was only getting 35 requsition. When it does happen i am always on quick start but it aint normaly bad enough to spoil a game.

    We're talking about power here.
Requisition decays so you will get less requisition the longer the game goes. That's a feature.
