    There will be an American version but I hope it gets cancelled and they release something else lol, seriously this game doesnt follow any gundam plot all it has is turn based mech combat with gundam mobile suits! lol WTF!?

    hailzeon, seeing u post that u dun deserve to be called a loyal gundam fan > its true that true odyssey doesnt follow any gundam plot. however, did u notice how fun that game can be cause of all the customization and such? and lastly, if u followed the gundam turn based game series like me from original g-generation for ps1 to g-gen seed for ps2 u'll see that system got a bit old and boring....bandai is trying to make a rpg game incorporated with gundam in order to bring a few new colors to the gundam saga...personally, i saw the video and frankly i like the game alot cause it'll be kewl seeing ur wing gundam customized to have a shoulder cannon equipped on its shoulder or gun cannon having guntank quad rocket hand launcher thing on both hands.

    so yea...dun just say "I hope it gets cancelled and they release something else lol, seriously this game doesnt follow any gundam plot all it has is turn based mech combat with gundam mobile suits! lol WTF!?" unless u did sufficient research on the background of the gundam series based games for console. if u cant read japanese or get more info from other site, i dun blame u. but dun just go blab out how much this game sux without seeing the history of this genre and why they're doing it.

    Wow I must say...that is one of the BEST mods EVER.
    I love gundam and I love that someone finally put forth the effort to accurately do a Gundam Mod. :bow:

    And thanks to the guys that updated that english.big, that definitly mad things better. :clap:

    One thing I would LOVE to see...but will probably never happen....
    I'd like to see this sort of mod with Gundam Seed and Gundam Seed Destiny...I love the mecha designs in that.

    But hey I'm good with this.

    hey i have a suggestion about this mod, since for federation the only 0079 only units are gundam and ball so why not remove them and replace the with gundam "alex" and ball k type as a gm custom actually is as powerful as rx-78-2 in the show, so gundam alex would kinda stand more of a chance. plus the difference in quality between 0079 and the 0083 units really shows
    thats just my thoughts though, what do you guys think?

    The designs in Destiny are basically modern versions of the Zaku, Gouf, etc. The director likes to rip off of the other shows

    Dyson: hehe I pretty much agree with you on all points. Hero units would be nice.
    Gundam True Odyssey isn't released in North America for a couple more weeks or so.
    At the moment i'm playing the japanese version. So far i like it. Can't really follow the story that well as i can only read a little katakana but still fun

    Hail Zeon: Don't hate it til you've tried it. Sure it doesn't go along any specific Gundam series but it's still fun. Gundam in a Final Fantasy RPG'ish setting. Custom mobile suits and what not. What's not to like? =P
    -Having a Guncannon use a kick ass machine gun, along with the Xamel artillery cannon and other weapons = kick ass
    -Having RX-178 Mk II, RX-78, 2x Kampers, Full Armour Gundam, 2x Gelgoogs and a plethora of weapons at your disposal along with "spirit powers/skills" = WIN =D

    But as a Gundam fan, you should never hope a Gundam game hits our shores. We need more quality ones. I think this is one of them.

    Shrimpcraft: w3rd. I'm a Super Robot Wars/Taisen fan myself. I have a bunch of them for ps1, ps2, gba, dc. I've ordered the latest one SRW:Alpha 3 (for ps2) and SRW:J (for GBA). Can't wait for those to come in =D

    but the thing was rx-78 was VERY OUTDATED at the end of the 1 year war, it only kicked butt because of amuro being such a good pilot. and 0083 is four years after that so of course the norm is gonna be it or past it by then

    uuuhhhhh..... ok i read the last 3 pages of posts and I got a few questions about the progress and state of the mod:

    1) are the modders really looking into the additions and/or replacements of special 'hero' units?

    2) what are the modders currently looking into anyways?

    3) is there a working alpha version of AI available already?

    4) if there is a preliminary working AI, whereabouts can I download this?

    ps. i really really love the Kampfer (as my accnt indicates ) but uhhhh we're dealing with space combat here... and I don't think the Kampfer can fly in space... as with all other 'ground' type units, i think they wouldn't be appropriate to include when they weren't really employed in space during the episodes. (like zaku ms-06j which i THINK [yes...im a gundam addict, but i am only a noobish gundam addict and i really dun know too deep stuff about each of their capabilities] was only designed as a ground type zaku) just my two cents (^_^!)

    the gm custom isnt made out of lunar titanium alloy, or gundarium, which it was called latter.

    I am currently trying to fix the AI, the problem is a bit worse than I thought, but I managed to make AI build their ZAKUs for ZWPA and GMs for EFSF. Now I still have 2 problems to solve. One is that all the CPUs(including original Hiigaran and Vaygr) now seldom research and upgrade on their technologies, still looking up for the reason why. The other is that some of the unit values in those .ship files are not proper. (eg. CPU ZWPA won't build MS05 & MS06A at all because their "Totalvalue" in the .ship files are straight ZEROs.)

    But I will not release this AI on my own(I revised files in AI, Script & Ship three folders). After I clean up the two problems stated above, I'll contact AK47_TZJ and let him decide if he want to release it or he wants to change / add things first.

    As for hero units, I think the original author has already capped some ultra strong units' limitation such as only 2 RX78, only 1 GP01 at a time blah blah blah so I guess there won't be too much problem on this?

    I'm aware that Seed uses gundams from the orginal series. (I'm a huge gundam fan)

    But I really love some of the jazzed up versions of the mobile suits.

    Zaku Phantom especially is something I'd love to see.
    The ginns and the CGUE's would make great fighters as well.

    But most importantly I'd love to see some of the "uber gundams" as some have dubbed it.

    I think It would be cool if things played out like this:
    At the end of your research tree you get a Hero class, this would change depending on the faction you were.

    Zaft/Oz would get should gundams as Tallgeese, Epyon, Savior, Destiny, Providence, Legend..

    Earth Federation would get Calamity, Gaia, Abyss, Strike, Duel, Buster, Aegis, Akatsuki

    Depending on the maker they could add a third side to include the Wing gundams, and Freedom and Strike Freedom. Or you could add to either side, or divide it...

    Anywayz you would get those gundams available. They would be expensive to make of course, around 10,000 or so I think would be justifilable considering the pwoer that the would have to reflect.

    You'd only be able to have 2 on field at one time. And you can only build one of each.

    It would work akin to how someone mentioned "heroes" should be. I'm just purposing more of a variety, that way armies are more personallized.

    Well, i dont think wing gundams are a good addition since they are mostly used (and looks like) on earth and not in space, not to mention that "leos" are quite ugly and wing has mostly nothing to do with gundam 0083. in any case, it could be a totally different mod, like seed/destiny mod could be, which by the way i think it could be another great ass kicking mod, because although seed/destiny isnt the best gundam show, mech designs are just awesome.

    Making gundams so expensive would just make people use them with easy cpus and just fight with cheap MSs because building time, research price and time would make them almost imposible to use, and just maybe at the end of the combat, at least facing a human player.

    Resuming: seed/destiny, wing and 0083 should be different mods so you can feel the gundam essence and not to feel you are playing a gundam collection mod, because its not the same to be OZ, ZAFT, ZEON(sieg!!!!) EFSF... well you understand me n_n

    Say, you liked my "hero idea..." =P

    Some updates about AI today:

    All units will now be constructed properly.
    I just had a exciting 3v3 fight(3 EFSF vs 3 ZWPA).

    The few remaining problems:
    1.Rgc83 GM gun cannon IIs are acting like platforms. But strangely no problem with Rgm79SPs at all. AI RX78s have the same problem. Eeek, I don't have any clue about this.

    2.AIs won't build some essential sub systems such as RX78's weapon or T-link cannons on Pegasus Carrier.I guess there are some new conditions and new demands to set.

    3.AIs won't do any upgrades now. They actually can build high-end units like birmingham / GP02A / RX78 / specialized DOMs etc so I assume they do research so that they can build some good units, but after a game which lasted more than 1 hr, I realized that their research percentages are only around 20% ~ 30%.

    Argh! Ive been gone a while.

    So theres a Ai file floating around now? Have to try combinubg it with min and see what happens. I can see that someone else has also twinged to fact that the ship files are missing alot of Ai stuff.

    Unit Caps are easy to change and are a must to get a working AI. If you need refrence material i'd say look at the PDS AI & Unit cap.

    Oh yerh. Change the name of the Albion to Pegasis Class. You can have more then one now.

    I've contacted AK47_TZJ, patience guys.

    And I guess this is my last post about AI updating:
    All previous problems have been solved.

    RGC83 / RX78 / RX78-2 now will take aggressive movements. They were put into "Builder" category(because there's a shield on each of them to build in case it breaks) actually there's no need to put them into Builder category to make them build things.

    RX78 / RX78-2 / Mothership / Carriers now build their advanced weapons.

    AI now will do upgrades. The economic value set for determining when AI should research upgrades was simply too high. They would do upgrades when they got like 10000 RUs,
    but the AIs never saved that much money heh :P

    wondering if we could chang the salamas class to use beam cannons insrtead of reg cannons, and same with all the big ships, all should be fireing red-pinkish beams of death...... if thats possible, no more of that powering up stuff. :claw:

    Only beam canons? well maybe a convination of beam and normal cannons would be much cooler, for example, use beams for primary cannons and normal ones for AA and antimissile fire. Damn! I love seeing those missiles blow away

    By the way, I think some units are a bit ... how to say it... static, i mean, bazooka doms just stand and fire, while in the series are very agile and fast, gp01 just move around and shoot, chars dom does the same atacking cap ships, stands and shoot his beam zooka. Maybe AK should talk with alex drake about using his dinamic fighters mod and boila! epic MS combats

    Just my two cents

    Dyson: hahaa, "dynamic" MS combat it sounds like an idea, but i dunoooo - i kinda like how rick doms can snipe with their bazooks and stay out of regular HW battlecruisers' range HAHAHAHAA -- i get like 6 ricks and prbly 5 zaku 1 and i can clear an expert hiigarn fleet of cruisers and bombers, not to mention destroyers that get oWnEc| skillzzzzzzzzzz hahaha

    if i knew how to post images here, i would show screenshots of the nuke test of the GP02a. All i can say, this nuke is a bitch!!! I mean it took out a fleet of 75 vaygr battlecruisers with 1 shot!!!!! (im not lying )

    sweeeeeeeeeT! now i can post a cool pic of my favourite gundam!!!! hhhmmmm.... it'd be cool if he could be in the gundam mod... but i do acknowledge that he was only designed to use as a ground type... which reminds me - did zaku 1 (ms05) ever make it into space???? as in the episodes? :dolt: i think only zaku2 ms06f and onward were employed in space... but i could be wrong cuz i haven't seen the gundam shows from beginning to end, only 08th ms team, war in the pocket, stardust memory, and the one year war 0079.

    Now to get the nuke, u have a choice, i can email it 2 u so u can add it to your gundam mod yourself, or u can download it as a whole mod, (NOTE: The downloadable version only has zeon in it, no feddies until AI comes around, srry...)     For those who want it separately, PM me with ur email address so i can give it 2 you.

    But just so you know, the downloadable one is kinda better even tho theres no feddies, theres a new option where u can choose what type of starting fleet u start off with (normal, large, and huge), u can choose how much $$$ u start with ($1000 - $100000). U can chose how much bounties u get, so its basically better if u download it than recieve it separately, but if u want it separately, i wont stop you, its your choice. Choose wisely

    werrrrrrrrklunk??? wha???? what noise? the only glitch with the nuke is u hear a particle cannon charge up, still, but other than that, its fine. Still wipes out whole fleets.

    How many shots can you have with the nuke? one, then you have to return to the mothership for reload or do you pay for a reload like you would pay for a weapon/shield?

    Is there a unit cap on the GP02 to prevent ya from making 8 of them with nukes? Having more then one is pure evil (which does appeal to me but...it isn't really fair)

    Taking out 75 vagyr battleships seems awfully powerful and not very game balancing. Of course it would be pretty nasty if the AI shot it at you.

    Of course that was not my intention, Im triying to download it that way the mod too since the links dont seem to work. And in my opinion, its a good way to distribute the file instead of bittorrent, which is a P2P too.
