    i won with only one dingo and a gun cannon :P
    with the fed's tech tree there is something wrong with the moble refinery, it has something to research three times but the third one stops at the end and doesnt finish

    the tri-star can own any early game units(from intercepter to early gundams), because it has high accuracy and very rapid fire.
    the dingo team has more damage, but they are not as accurate as tri-star.

    also there is some kind of bug that prevents other ship to hit the zeon's light cruiser. i think its because they are aiming at the center point of the model, and that happens to be nothing there.

    pegassus's main gun is so underpowered and in-accurate.
    pegassus's research only adds bonus to ALBION, not the other pegassus that u can build later.

    I love this mod now, it just seems so much more challenging, you just have to steer clear of the Zeon CPU for the 1st half of the game because the tri-stars will rule you. I like to put the Mod races on Hard difficulty and the Vagyr and Higaarans on Expert and then run a scout in and watch them try to take out Mobile Suits. Very similar to what happens oin the show when Cap Ships and fighters try to take on Mobile Suits.

    The way I like to play this mod is to mass produce GMs and generic Fighters and Bombers at the beginning. Then as I progress(and the Tri-Stars destroy most of my units) Then I build alot of Sabers and Balls as the bulk of my force then a handful of Gundams supported by 6-8 Salamis' and 2-3 Heavy Cruisers and 1 Birmingham.

    well this is odd, i formated my pc, reinstalled HW2, and redownloaded the mod. but this is just odd...... I STILL HAVE THE ClONEWARS OPTION! myunits are still named $4513. i just dont get it, there should be nothing left.... so until i find out wat to do about it ill be playing battlefield 1942 if any body needs me......... god this is annoying

    I'm not sure what y our not doing,m because I played the clone wars mod, and when I uninstalled HW2, deleted the Sierra Folder, then reinstalled it, it was clean.

    In addition to what twitchey said to srx
    I noticed that once i had tons and tons of units and have played for hours on end, the models go from nice and detailed to a handful of untextured blocks that vaguely resemble the unit. I'm not sure if that's due to a system limitation or the games or just a bug.
    I found just restarting the game or comp will fix it. (pain in the butt yes but it works ^_^;;

    My computer does it too. If you hit menu and wait like 3 minutes everything reshapes.

    my pc doesnt do that cuz my pc has like 2 gigs of ram and is faster than grease lightning. It all depends on the quality of ur pc's performance. If u have a fast pc and a very good video card, that shouldnt happen to you. If u have a pc that just meets the minimum requirements, it WILL have model declines, i promise u that.

    RE: Auto Model "adjusting"

    There is a setting to turn this behavior off in the Video section of the Options. Set the option labelled "Geometry Scaling" to OFF, and your game should never degrade the models. You will, however, suffer a FPS hit when the game begins to really tax your system, so this isn't recommended for multiplayer (you'll become the lagger of the game).

    You can't do this in-game, like many graphics options...

    My computer is 3+ yrs old. The video card is decent enough but everything else is aging =\
    Meh, that video problem doesn't happen often and only so when i've played for more then 3 or so hours. So it isn't a big deal for me.

    This is from the PDS forums, I was wondering if anyone saw this yet.

    The first rendition of the Next Generation Combat Systems compilation has been extensively tested over the past two days and has outstripped all initial expectations, to achieve the following:


    1. Highly dynamic, truescale space combat
    2. Fully automated combat processes negating all need for player management besides mission planning. Ships maneuver evade attacks, charge non maneuvering targets, withdraw to repair and engage various targets on the battlespace automatically.
    3. Scientifically realistic weapons performance

    With that stated I will now register publically the intent to experiment with improving the Gundam mod for HW2, to the above standard where ace dogfights in the Gundam TV shows may be easily modelled using the NGCS guidelines. This course of action will be taken whenever or whereever I find that community input on the NGCS concept is unsatisfactory.

    This is because we neither need new TCs nor more "gameplay enhancements" where the HW2 community is already an enormously rich resource for continued research and development on existing and released projects.

    The decision point for NGCS or Gundam V3 is the end of November. No preliminary work on Gundam Mod V3 will be done without explicit permission from the Gundam Mod Team.

    The answer is: NEVER.

    The most likely scenario I see is that PDS -and- Gundam Mods will be converted to the NGCS standard, which is the best of both worlds solution. This project will also benefit from the greatly enhanced data file system in NGCS.

    No they are going to upgrade the Gundam Mod if they get permission.

    Also, whenever I play multiplayer with Gundam mod my chat always comes out something like "$3334" no matter what I type. I replaced the english big file and everything is in english, any workaround?

    Could always find the file itself and force it to use the right word by replacing the string with the right word. Though have fun digging through the ui folder.

    of course its not realistic, but its quite cool, which is where gundam duels aim to be altough i hope they can code melee combat in hw2, if not, it wouldnt be so fun watching those duels BTW a zaku isnt a zaku without his heat AXE cutting GMs :P

    A pity there are no new models Titans would be great adition, so like Gundam MkII or Hizack.

    last thing, dont call him Kira, kall him Amuro :P

    Coming back to topic... I think this "addon" to gundam mod will make it madly fun playing, of couse if we can get rid of those little bugs which make it a bit less fun playing, like the units which get stuck one with each other when they take off Zeons carriers.

    As mentioned above I have a lot of interest to adapt my "Dynamic Battlespace" AI and combat modelling routines to create a "lifelike" and interactive rendition of the Gundam TV shows, with fast paced mobile suit combat and capacity to bring to life what you see in the shows.

    However this is subject to the Gundam Mod Team's approval and no work will be done without their permission. NGCS is being used to create a TC based on a piece of fiction, and the concept document on this forum can be viewed here:

    Well, if you dont get permision, you can use gundam seed Series lol, too bad U should have to model everything from scratch, but look it from the bright side Seed mechas are cooler, well, I lie, Gp02 is just too sweet

    i suppose you have a different language, of the game, maybe spanish or italian like me.
    so just rename the English.big in the other language file:


    i have English.big file in the Gundam.rar, so rename it in the current language of the game (in my case is Italian.big), and play the game

    My game is english, so there is no problem with that. I managed to solve my problem, I extracted the english.big file and im editing texts with word pad, but when i launch the game with the new .big file it crashes. bad luck ^_^U

    Well, seed and 0079 to 0083 are too different to be in the same mod, or at least I wouldnt like to see the RX-78 VS Strike, since their pilot is the same person lol separate mods is the best option, but i dont think anybody will take that UGE effort, because seed and destiny have too many different MSs

    This gundam mod is based on the story dust memory so there is no something like char vs amuro where they are not present in the story, and also Gundam MkII or Hizack.
    But i want to ask where is GP03D??? Also, the races are not balanced, which zeon is much greater.

    the mod is based on the 0079 to 0083 storyline, so we can see char and amuro, but its a pity we cant see Titans, Zeta gundam, Gundam MkII or hizack in my opinion, the most beautiful zaku.

    Races are not balanced, just like in the anime, zeon is more powerful, and EFSF is weaker, but stonger in numbers, if you want to beat Zeon ingame, rush it or he will eat you alive.

    in 0083 amuro is put under house arrest( mensioned in gundam Z), and char has joined federation, so there is no char and amuro......
    stardust memory is only talking about kou and garto, and also to revive zeon

    In story, the early period zeon is really stronger, after the V operation ( i don't know the english name...), gundam has been researched and made and the GM too. GMs have more armour but slower than zaku. But Gundam is much stronger and nearly invincible. The zaku cannot hit it, miss or cannot shoot though the armour.

    However, zeon are still stronger.

    After some period of time, federation wins the 1 year war and have the tech. of zeon. So they are nearly as strong as zeon.The gundams are really strong too.

    You said that federation is stronger in numbers,but i don't see that in game too. In game, gp02a should not be on the zeon side but the federation, also if gp03d is avalible on the federation side and the gms are cheaper and higher armour then the game is balanced.

    mmmmm... Ingame EFSF looks weaker in the first state of the combat, because if you let zeon get the tristar team, nothing can stand them, while if EFSF gets snipers, dingo team and gp01b, the battle is allmost over to zeon, but anyway i think game is pretty well balanced, its just a matter of how you play and how well you do it

    hope the rapsody of stars is fusioned quickly with gundam mod

    The impression I have from this mod is that they initially started with 0083 units, but decided to expand the manifest to include other MS/MA from earlier in the series timeline. Otherwise Char's Rick Dom and the Bigro would not be in there, nor would the RX-78-2 (Amuro's Gundam).

    Besides... Char went into hiding at the end of the One Year War; he never joined the Federation, but remained opposed to it when in combat for the rest of his life (re: AEUG vs. Fed Titans, Neo Zeon).

    Well, if you have a email address for the Gundam mod team I can expedite the process of developing a more polished and true-to-TV rendition of this mod. While I don't write/type Chinese I can at least speak some of it and write in hanyu pinyin :P If not, I can "pull in" one of my colleagues as a diplomatic liaision.

    Note also that any expansion (to cover CE universe etc) is also dependant on community interest. As a significant portion of the PDS/NGCS fanbase are gundam freaks (myself included) we are naturally able to support an evolution of the first Gundam mod very well.
