    wait a second guyffon. U made that many models for the 0083 HW1 mod? holy crap, u should have kept on going with that mod when hw1 was hot back then. That would have been awsm. All those models would have been nice for hw1.

    I wanted to go on but the problem was I did not know how to create textures and I was sort of a one man show for the mod. Infact I got all these models in game with crude textures.

    Anyway there were many limitations to the HW1 engine which was hard coded. But you shld see the GP03D in action against a Nuel ziel, damn fun to watch. My models are considered low poly as I was modelling from milkshape 3D and working with thw poly limitation of HW1. Thus if I pass him these models he will need to beef them up a bitto make them look better.

    I have tried to contact the creator of this mod but my e-mail has bounced back tome. Anyone interested to wor on thsis mod with my models, plus I got some scenes that I can provide to give a sense of scale the ship are with respect to each other.

    I was looking thru my model folder and found a few more ships like a chinvay class and a federation mother ship design of my own. The abion when I put mine in game had alll the cannon point defence canons in place so that it had some sort of MS defence. Btw how does one put up images in here?

    As for teh Macross mod, from the last i know, there was not much work done on it and the team sort of faded. I think that mod is dead unless the founder of teh mod starts it up again.

    is it possible to fix up those models and reconfigure them to work for the homwrold 2 engine and maybe show them to the NGCS team? the NGCS team is working on a gundam evolution mini faction for that mod, and maybe they can use ur models if u can fix them up as best u can.

    I dun have maya or skills to convert my models for use with HW2. I can send them my HW1 in game models and have them look at them if they want.

    Maybe in future I might pick up the skills to mod HW2 but currently time is not in my favour as I have overwhelming duties at work. Still I will give any and all support to anyone whom is going to do a complete mod for Gundam. Will try to e-mail the NGCS team next few days. Thanks for pointing me in a correct direction

    If you know modding,you can singglly put the ships and MSes into the campaign's map,or put them into the Higarra seriers intead of those in the buuilding list.

    Some people said that we need to do something on ".lau" files and know the names of MSes and ships in the progamme.......and the problem comes out....i don't know their names and the details about the ".lau".......

    Try just editing the starting roster over on the BIN side of things. Check the Karos Wiki, might have more info on it. 'Tis relatively simple, iirc.

    yeah, it shows a list of ships for each level, just add the ships into the lua into the levels u want.

    Man, this is the COOLEST Gundam on PC EVER!!!
    Thanks for those of you who put in such great effort in the MOD!!!

    I scanned throught the forum and it seems there is no campaign for this mod. I wonder if its ok for me to join in and help make historical missions in the base on UC 0079-0083?
    (It seems there is no mission editor available??Can somebody give me some pointers?)

    Secondly, in relation to v2.5, is there any chance we can modify the resource structure a bit? Imagine in the one year war era, both sides should have their manufacturing and resoucre gathering outside the front line. (except when an assult was carried out on factories, etc) Therefore, mining asteroid would be a bit chessy for most scenraio. I wish, if possible, resources should be added to either side periodically. In order to increase the resource requistion rate, players have to either carry out
    1. Extra researches
    2. Build and protect certain structure (change the probe into reinforcement fleet beacon, see below)

    This way would make the battle feels even more authethic and enjoyable. In addition, this means we can free up the resource gathering unit into a repair only unit (Using a industry ball/MS05 would be ideal!)

    Secondly, for the possible campaign, may I suggest that using captial ships to manufacture other capital ships is just a bit too weird. Perhaps we can re-stucture the reinforcement procedure into:

    1. manufacture and launch a (or more) reinforcement fleet beacon
    2. call (build function) reinforcement
    3. Defend the beacon
    4. Reinforcement enter battlefield at the location of beacon
    5. Repeat procedure

    This way we will get a REALLY realistic battle and on top of that, it generates an extra dimension in game tactics! (this might be wishful thinking because of scripting limitation)

    i wish they would add more eras to it. up untill that one movie set in 100 UC

    edit: i got the mod working. ummmmm whats with the numbers for the ships and suits? and the EFSF needs alot more work done to them.

    would you know kou where i could find the version of the mod that had luna 2? and there is a way to make the map bigger i believe look at star wars warlords .45 those maps were 2000 KM across i think. also does anyone know how i can get rid of the money numbers for the ships names? and is this final version of the mod or no?

    IIRC the Luna 2 thing was a little edit of the starting fleet...
    No comment on the maps...
    The "money numbers" are in-game identifiers, and the reason you see them is because you're not using the mod's English.big (or other localization) file in the Data directory.

    If there's more than one English.big that came with the mod (and I suspect this is true), backup the original HW2 English.big (rename it to English-orig.big or something) and copy one of them in (hopefully the one in the folder with "english" in its name). There was an updated version somewhere on this thread, but so far all I've been able to turn up are dead links.

    The mods still alive, hurray! Just wondering, will additions be only for the feddies, or will us spacenoids get some goodies too? Personally I'd love to see the Gelgoog Marines and Dra-C's in the next release (Along with any Mobile Armors you could add =D) Good work as always.

    zeon should have better suits and armors than the feddies. To this day, i still ponder how the feddies won the one year war over all that firepower from zeon

    Isn't it obvious? Its a result of cliche plots. All anime have the same central theme, friendship and teamwork will prevail over ability and cunning. That's why they all get old so fast.

    well heliothis...thats not the real reason why zeon lost. if you know about old skool anime...the director actually focused on character development and politics rather than flashy sceen effects. The reason why zeon lost the war was because of the limited rescources it had. Unlike EFSF with virtually unlimited rescources on earth, spacenoids like zeon needed to rely heavily on quality over quantity to overcome this matter. However, during the final battle because EFSF had just way too many units compare to zeon, quantity won the war. Not to mention the battle at A Bao Qu that zeon had to use student pilots to defend, which further weakened their force even if they have better MS.

    Yeah, in a sense it paralleled WW2's European theater: the Germans had far better tanks and planes, but the Americans had the advantage industrially and numerically.

    (Gross oversimplification, but that's history for ya)

    Yes, resource limitation sounds convincing, but I still think it was for script decitions, because if you remember, Zeon got to control a big percentage of the earth, getting more resources and denying them to EFSF.

    And if you compare gundam with WWII, which resembles alot, i would say that Zeons defeat was due to a series of bad tactical decitions, because even if you are a novice pilot into a Gelgoog cockpit, you would just stomp into feddyes GRM79 lines like a hot knife into butter. My reasoning comes from the fact that the Gelgoog had similar power than a Gundam, GRM79s variants were just trash compared to them, and not every feddy pilot was a pro, veteran... they had big losses too, so they had to send rookie pilots to the front too.

    Im just thinking about stardust memories, where even a small Zeon task force, creates Havock, destruction and hell over EFSF fleet.

    But its always the same, Feddyes had amuro Ray and the power of the script

    haha just for ur reference, 0079 IS based of WWII thats why the uniforms, mentality of both sides, and the battles are closely related to our real world.

    Dyson, i have to disagree on ur part tho. Maybe u were mistaken :P but dun underestimate RGM-79....they are still mass production of the Gundam. Even tho it does lack lots of expensive instrument from the gundam, the suit itself is still faster than a zaku and in the hands of a vet, even a dom and gelgoog. Now, remember i said they were student pilots who piloted the gelgoog? They are no where close to a novice cause even if the feddies does send novice to the frontlines, they are still fully trained soldiers compared to ppl who are still in the training....therefore, having a gelgoog cutting a GM like a hot knife into butter is totally acceptable, since GM focus more on mobility than protection (hence their paper armor lol). But they cant just stomp into feddies ground and pwn due to superior numbers and experience of pilots on the feddy side.

    another thing is, like our WWII history, Germans did took over most parts of europe and had most of the resources...but the reason they lost was because they spread their defence line too thin, esp when they invaded russia to get the oil field thus causing the russians to opened up the eastern front...and Operation overlord, the infamous beach landing at normandy is parallel to operation odessa when Allied forces launched a successful offensive attack on the germans.

    everything can be traced back and forth on the anime and WWII. if u need a better reference:

    lastly, reminents of the zeon force in stardust memories with their devestating attacks are similar to feddies during OYW with their guerilla tactics but instead, this time its in space :P

    Yes, im aware gundam 0079 is fully based in WWII but as I said before, the only thing that could have meant Zeons defeat were a series of bad tactical decitions as you stated with a wide front line.

    Anyway, its not fair they lost, they had better stuff, better officials, better tactics and were far more cool =P

    Sorry, but I think U are overstimating the GRM79, iit may be fast, but speed is not everything, you need armor and firepower, and the grm79 lacked both while its normal loadout was a little SMG normal Zaku versions mounted a big machine gun, although zeon didnt have many beam weapons, they were little used by feds during the war. Not to mention mobile armors...

    Opinions opinions... the only thing Im sure is Zeon will get his deserved place, if seed doesnt continue

    Offtopic: Igloo is great, not as good as 8th MS Team or Stardust memories, but... and episode two is the best how many episodes has it got? I only found 3

    The advantage of mobile suit is it mobility, fire power comes second. Assuming the technological gap between 2 forces are not unreasonably far. If a pilot can't hit a target and can't dodge attacks, his/her contribution to their force is next to zero. An example would be Gundam Sentinnel, one full squad of FA-ZZ armed to the teeth got pwned by a lone Gundam MkV. While the FA-ZZs has an obscene advantage on firepower, it is completely powerless against a more experience pilot. Pilot experience level is an extremely important factor in UC. Therefore, noobs pilots plus lack of numbers doomed Zion's final defence.

    Not to mention if you are an earthling in that time, you won't support Zion, considered that chuncked a colony in Sydney and many of your friends/relatives would have been killed in the initial invasion. An invasion without a significant public support is destined to fail.
