    only the 1st mission? ive got the whole f***ing HW2 campaign done with 2.5, lol. i just dont want to release it at the moment since i didnt think it was that important.

    EDIT: So is this mission the 1st one of Homeworld 2? or is it something else? like something from 0079 or something?

    It's a new custom champaign between Zeon and EFSF, according to one year war. The AI and build tree are now fixed and the mission is completed and tested, I just need a find a place to host the 107MB file somewhere somehow.

    The first unofficial SP campaign mission is finally available for public beta!! (Phew, sorry about the delay) First, I would like to thanks AK and the Gundam team for making the mod and Le Sun Tzu for helping out on solving the AI mysteries, plus all those hardcore people who put up the tutorials and Karos graveyard.

    Mission

    One year war, battle of Loum. You will play as Lt. General Dozle Zabi, commanding their 2nd mobile fleet to Side 5 on 15th of January, UC0079

    Installation instructions

    You will need

    Homeworld 2 (dah)
    MGM1.big (Download it from: http://files.moddb.com/2046/Download...-pack-for-gun/)
    English.big (From gundam 2.5 mod, assume already sitting in your data directory)

    Step 1
    Put MGM1.big into the data directory

    Step 2
    Right click the homeworld 2 shortcut on your desktop, select properties.
    In the target box, add” -mod MGM1.big”
    Click ok

    Step 3
    Start the game, select single player game

    Step 4
    Kick some federation butts

    To help develop this mission pack, please comment on the difficulties (AI), authenticity, performance (fps) and any another relevant issues.

    To do list (for completing mission 1)

    Start cinematic and intermission
    Proper transition to mission two
    Credits
    Fix the background of the level (debris, props, etc)


    Wish list

    Would someone mind to re-skin the MS-06S for Char, Shin Matsunaga and Johnny Ridden please?

    Also, model for Public Class Assault Ships would be great for replacing the bombers and the EFSF Columbus class to replace the retrofitted HW2 carrier.

    Debris or damaged colonies would be great for the background

    There are more than 100 ships in this mission, I am afraid more ships might reduce performance on low end machines. However if I haven’t got a major complain on low frame rate , than I will increase the capital ships to:
    Earth Federation
    o 12 Magellan class ships
    o 61 Salamis class ships
    Principality of Zeon
    o 3 Gwazine class ships
    o 39 Musai class ships
    o 1 Doros class ships

    Note: This is not yet endorsed by the gundam team. All MS models, unit script, etc are the properties of Ak's gundam team. This is an addon mission pack ONLY.

    It takes weeks of reading on Karos Graveyard and the forum. Plus asking for help from fellow modders. (I am sorry about the massive delay because of ESIV Obivilion and uni work :P) I admit that I am only a noob programmer.

    Would you please let me know what are your skills (programming, graphics, Gundam Lore, etc?) If you wish to help, the wish list on my previous message would be a good place to start. Also, if you have a good mic and quiet room, I need a couple of voice actor/actress for the missions as well.

    If would be really nice if we can get a model for this, because the Gaw class are the one that were used in Zeon's earth drop mission, perfect for setting for mission two.

    Stand off engagement

    I am experimenting with standoff engagement atm. (Note: the "historical" engagement range of battle of Loum would be 26km, this means 1/4 of the map. At the moment I have difficulties making the scout actively screen the battlefield to give the AI more advantage. In order words, if this works, scouts can be the deadliest thing that you see, because they can relay your cap. ships co-ordinates and he he he.....

    Please do send your response on difficulties/performance/etc, otherwise I can't really conclude mission one and move on to the make the next mission. Thanks!

    Currently the development of the 3.0 MODs have not yet complete, still work at continue. The mission that you do wrap me to have already tried, this technique level that expresses you.I think: we can discuss the concrete contents concerning plot now.And can turn contents is thin each chapter.

    Mobile armors

    Will the Neuzeal or the Drobium (not spelled right) ever be included?

    Also I found something rather annoying: The mother ship that looks like white base has issues if you tell it to attack a cap ship the darn thing moves in and turns around so its rear end faces the enemy. In the attack line do not use "movetotargetandshoot" as its bugged remember the hig battlecruiser it does the same d*mn thing. instead use "justshoot" that way one can move it properly them selves and not have it face *ss backwards or at least do something.... even "frontal" would be better than "movetotargetandshoot"

    also I was wondering if there is a non-.big file version of 2.5 availible?

    I want to add the two gundam using sides to my progenitor mod, I'd love to see a fleet of magelen cruisers challenge a fleet of dreadnaughts :devil: ! pluse this way I can add HP to vager and hig ships so they dont drop like flys from all those beam cannons.

    I think AK was right.

    The orange one is RB-79K Early mass-production type Ball, which you see in MS08 team, their numbers are very limited.

    The grey one is the standard RB-78, which is what you should see most of the time in One year war, see link

    well, also. something just came to my head. If he's gonna add that vesion of the ball to 3.0, ynot take the earlier version of the ball and make it the federation's resource collector unit, THEN add the RB-79k Ball K-Type as a new corvette. What do you think?

    Regarding the Denborium series. I think both should be in. GP03 is definately worthy of the mod. A requirement for Denborium Orchis would be like having the Denborium Stamen produced and special a special upgrade. The main problem with it is how hard the Orchis is to model.

    yeah, AK must have alot of time on his hands if he puts this much work into doing it. But i do admit that the white base could use a slight bit of improvement. dont get me wrong tho, the model's awesome!

    Just to clear up some confusion, there are 3 designs of the ball. The 8th MS team one, the original series one, and the later redesign of the original series one (nicknamed RB-79c) .

    BUT if you ever add Cima's Gelgoog Marine Commander Type, here's what her's looks like:

    :comp: IS Nu-Gundam in the 2.5 release? I usually get my butt handed to me by Zeon before i can build the good MS's. And I don't know where to find a list of what's in the release.

    P.S. Great work on this by the way. Never seen a gundam mod so detailed and well created (models and design). By the way..what modeling software do ya use? (AK...and Kou)

    first of all props to AK's fast and detail work with the ball. i'm amazed by the detail esp the one with the mouth look alike painting on it. I can tell AK got that from ep3 of MS igloo :P

    anyways regarding to the geloog variants, i actually like that idea too but to balance this issue feddies should get more variants of GMs too. For example, AK can add 2 GMs under corvette class. These 2 variants are obviously from the OYW RGM-79 cannon fodders where u can buy them almost as cheap as a toyota tercel or echo XDD. One of them will be equipped with the regular SMG and the other with beam spray gun. these 2 class will mainly be anti corvette and anti fighter with minimal anti-MS ability. Reason why I'm suggesting this is cause according to UC timeline, feddies got hold of portable beam weapons be4 zeon did, but cant mass produce the gundam beam rifle due to the expensive materials need to produce it. Therefore, they settled with the almost inefficient and weak beam spray gun. AK can set the beam spray gun to be extremely weak and short ranged. Further GMs variants could be anything ranging from the original GM to GM Quel XDD i know GM quel is basically GM Custom, but it did appear in the very last part of 0083 right? haha just joking, but yea I suggest more GM variants if you want more geloog variants.

    Next, AK gotta fix the weapon load out on the GM cannon II cause GM cannon II's supposed to have twin BEAM shoulder cannon and a the GM SMG wielded to his right hand. Furthermore, it wouldnt hurt to have more medium fire support MS, Original RX-77-2 guncannon with projectile shoulder cannon and a beam rifle will work, or adding the Guncannon mass production with all projectile wpns will do too. I think add variants is not a problem, but just set each weapon output at different damage level will be fine.

    lastly, regarding to hero units. Everyone should know zeon got more hero units than feddies right? So i'm proposing (I forgotten if anyone asked AK about putting in MSV units in it) adding units like BD-3 (reason why i'm not gonna say BD-2 cause it went to the zeon side ), RX-78-4 (aka G04) and RX-78-5 (aka G05) to the feddy inventory. i wont say much but with those units around i think the issue of zeon hero units more than feddies units will be solved. In terms of their wpns loadout:

    BD-3 consists of:
    -Beam rifle (Don't have a picture for that, but if i remember correctly it should be the same as what RX-79[G] uses)
    -pair of 60mm Vulcans in the head
    -2x Chest missile

    G04 consists of:
    -Beam rifle
    -Large long range beam rifle that send constant stream of beam particles like the sniper RGM-79[G] you see in 08MS team.
    - Pair of 60mm head vulcans for self defence

    Note: G05 is more focused projectile and its main role is fleet escort. G05 is also the brother machine of G04 so they share the same rifle and shield.



    AK can actually make G04 and G05 buy the Bst Armor pack separately like Gundams and other unit buying their own weapon s and shield.






    Long post but i'm finally done XDD

    PS-Bst armor pack comes with the large beam rifle and gatling for G04 and G05 respectively. You can't buy them separately.

    :2cents: I also agree with lots of variants of mobile suits.
    if you go with what shrimpcraft said about the 2 GM's under the corvette class the best Mobile suit would most likely be the GM Light armor (this thing didn't even have head vulcans along with its low armor).

    also the Blue destiny units also have 2 chest vulcans (this thing was fully loaded).

    and for the middle range MS one idea would be that the RX-77 would be the most armored(but most costly) ,and the Mass produced Guncanon would have a select weapons list like the Gundams do but at the extra cost (more expensive than a gm cannonII) and less armor but i think the RX-77D had better armor (than the GM cannonII(hey it has cobham armor on).

    also why not put in the MSV GM cannon in being the weakest and slowest fireing midrange support mobile suit armed with 1 cannon(slow fireing) and a short range beam spray gun and head vulcans but costs less than a pack of ballons

    also I out right love the RX-78NT-1 model but the cover for the gatlin guns(the blue part) looks like its way to pulled up and back.

    beyond that its all good.

    P.S. great mod so far I got homeworld 2 just for this mod and it wasn't a disappointment and I joined the fourms because of this mod aswell

    Got the mission Big.

    Took me a while to realise the CTD was being caused by my old saves, you have to create a new Player Profile to make it work i found.

    Mission was a blast, though i did lose ALL my MS i only lost 4 destroyers and 2 carriers. And 90% of the scouts, the music was also a nice touch.


    EvilJedi has made Planets for the solar system so you could probably get Earth & the moon as background objects too.



    Quick note on what i think needs alittle work with the mission


    -Fighter Concentrations - Maybe Make them alittle more spread out, Currently they Like sending the wave against a single Command suit till its dead. looks silly with this HUGE mass of craft crammed into maybe a 100m3 box, Oh for a Flak cannon...

    -No Char- I guess he could be in one of the command suits but still its really simple to grab the Command suit and make a custom Char suit...

    - Would like to see a few more messages and/or a count of Magellans Destroyed thus far

    -Ship rotations - This is a fairly prevalient problem with HW2 mods (ANd the stock version too) ships have restrictions on their Yaw & Pitch, very bad when you are engadging a fleet that is 'lower' then you as the sihps drop 'flat' into range before nosing down to face the enemy

    I tend to charge straight into the ship files and change this as soon as i get a new mod - I'll admit this has nothing to do with the mission but its one of my pet Peves when it comes to 3d combat...

    based on the talk about having earth and the moon in the background, I would absolutely love to see some gundam specific BG's, y'know, like having a colony floating around and suchlike, but thats just fluff to the mod as a whole so i wont get my hopes up :P
