    Like this mod, recently picked H2 up from the bargain bin in an EB games store. One of the first things i though was, "damn, this would be good with gundams"

    Doing some research, i discovered that there were quite the modding comunity for this game so here i am.

    Love the work that the devs have done on this mod from what i have seen, great work!:jaw:
    Although I'm more of a fan of the Cosmic era type of Gundams and mobile suits, I enjoyed this era to.

    Got a few newcomer questions though:-P
    Noticed that it was mentioned that unit limits could be changed? how? I'd like to push my comp as far as posible(running fraps i enjoy 180+++ framerates in vanilla with full fleets battling it out)

    Gonna check the mod out now, i i can get the instalation right.. Happy hunting people:sam:

    LilleOle: All of the unit limit scripts are stored in the folder ..\Homeworld2\Data\scripts\unitcaps\. You will need to extract the files from Homeworld2.big using any of the *.big extractors here, then decompile the *.lua scripts, and then you'll be able to edit those files with ease.

    Don't need to modify in fact, as long as turn off the options that the unit limit before entering game all right.

    ive never seen that model gelgoog before, its obviously a custom for someone, but i never seen a gelgoog like that before!

    Ehh. From ZZ and some of Sentinel's MS designs just look... unreal. Like they're structurally unstable... heh.

    I don't know, but is something like transformation from MS mode >> waverider possible?

    As I recall the Freedom in the GS HW mod is able to bring its wing cannons forward, dunno if it's a turret, but if it was it'd be making super-weird movements. It then continues to fly around like that. Dunno if it's something special, but I'd like to see that.

    yeah well freedom's shoulder cannons are like, a detachable part of the wings, and the bottom is like, a skirt that unfolds

    It may possible a transformation in game, for example, in MacrossYRL mod, valkyries and SDF1 will be fully transformablein all shapes fighter->gerwalk->battloid, as shown in the shows

    The problem is that is hard to code ^_^U

    Creator is very busy with the mod since they want to include a FULL campaign for SPlay, and as milaoshu said, maybe in two more months ww will get v3.0

    I'd like to have transformable units ingame.. I'd imagine that we'd have it in MS form for main combat, whereas MA mode will be for hit-and-run tactics, and retreating from battle.

    I installed the mod like the directions said, but it does not work.

    I went to "My Computer-Program Files...etc. Data" and put the Gundam 2.5 TZJ in, and the english. big inside the eng version folder is in there too. The Bin/Release has the .bat file.

    I appreciate any help on this matter~

    yes but i figured out the problem. Then it worked but the names were $2580 so i switched the english.big with the one from the 2.5 mod. Thanks for replying, though.

    You mean you're playing with a gundam mod that's older than v2.5?

    Try throttling down your gfx settings, or exiting some apps before you start playing.

    actually it still shows $2428 etc.

    I am using 2.5 with ver 1.0 of HW2. I turned off everything but it's still slow up close, <1 fps.
    When far away, the framerate approaches normal and cursor does not skip.

    That is not that bad by itself, but also the ship and unit graphics look strange and constantly change hue and color even though I turned all video options down.

    I installed it and it still looks the same (buggy colors).

    I turned down the settings and unchecked VSYNC and increased my paging file. I have 768MB RAM, is that the real problem? Strangely, back when i had 512 and before i uninstalled HW2 the first time, there were no flashing colors and dramatic slowdown after i turned off shadows and such.

    edit: I have dx9.0c. when i installed i was prompted to replace with b. could this be it?

    DO NOT REPLACE 9.0C WITH B. C works just fine.

    I actually played v2.5 on HW2 v1.0 for some while before I realized I forgot to update HW2 to v1.1. So far, the only thing that didn't work for me with v2.5 and HW2 v1.0 was that I couldn't play the Battle of Loum.

    Has this color-flashing/slow thing ever happened before?

    I have 1.5G leftover HD space... 1+ G for paging file, etc... I use an intel card, can't think of any other causes...

    Most names like $2387 are still there too...

    Intel Card as in graphics card as in intel make good proc(I like amd myself)
    But they make awful terrible not worth the silicone their stamped on graphics cards.
    My next question is Is this a store bought PC? or from a magazine?
    I dont think there are many ppl in here that have intel graphics cards
    I Myself have a Nvidia Geforce 6800GT 256mb card(agp version)
    and then theres also ATI brand of cards which are equally good cards if not slightly better in some things, but then again same can be said of nvidia.

    Anyways my point being, If you have the cash and you have a spare slot get a new vid card as soon as possible

    I knew it wasn't that good... ah well.

    ATI X700 Pro should be sufficient, i guess, please tell me if you know of any similar-performing cheaper cards, I'm a student and low on gold.

    Thanks for clearing that up~

    Also, how do I fix the unit name values? I poked around in the .big and I can't tell where to change the names.

    Intel doesn't make video "cards" per se, it's called onboard/integrated video, and no person should have to contend with that.

    Come to think of if, I also have that text problem ingame, although I can live with it. When I'm in a game, I press q to bring up the build queues, and instead of "Research" for the last one, I have some four digit value with the $ sign at the front.

    I also have some weird description for a gun turret, something about minelaying, but I'm not sure if it's due to the Gundam Mod or not.
