    twitchey, the nuke reloads on its own, but it takes awile to have the game balanced out. It take about 2-3 minutes or so for the nuke to reload. Thats y the GP02a's firepower went down alot, because of the rate of fire. But still, the nuke still does its damage, it just dont show up on the gp02a's firepower cuz of its rate of fire.

    and yes, there is a unit cap if u get the downloadable version. The cap is that if u guy gato's gelgoog, u cant get the GP02, and if u buy the GP02, then u cant get gato's gelgoog. One or the other, and u can only have 1.

    And the nuke may seem powerful, but the gop2 has no chance without the nuke, but i wouldnt use it up right away when u get it. The smart thing to do with it is let the other team make their fleet, then nuke their attack fleet., and use what u got in ur fleet to finish off their production ships.

    and btw, i will be online a lot, so u can keep an eye out for me if u wanna do more test on the nuke with me or u can just battle ms vs ms with me online, but in order 2 do that, u would need the downloadable version of the nuke. Thats the version i have of it.

    Thanks a lot home boy, but i already downloaded it... ^_^U anyway i will share it by emule so if the link fails, we can have the mod anyway

    Going back to the thread, nuke looks cool, indeed it is, but its completly unbalancing just one shot to the mother ship and everything around disapears in a blink, to be sincere I prefer seeing the gp02 power in a bazooka than a ion canon, but the way it is now, you cant say, ok i have gatos toy, see ya CPU.

    By the way, id love to see the kampfer in game and gundam alex instead the RX78(it is just too old fashioned) and if i can choose a christmas present debris with the shape of the death ships/zakus/GMs... and dinamic fighters plizzzzzzzzzzzzz! Onegai..!!! :P

    It would be ideal if you have an option of building a beam cannon version of GP02 and a nuke version of GP02. I like both. Massive fleet destroying power or hot tasty mega beam goodness. Choices choices choices

    mmmm I'd say that there could be more ships that be possibly built to give the greater sense of the wars depicted in the Gundam shows. Not to mention, the game Homeworld itself has many ships to choose from to create a real "fleet commander" perspective for the player. To reflect such a feel for being an admiral of the Gundam Series, I could suggest that the same sort of concept can be manipulated in ways that not only a variety of mobile suits be at the dispense of the 'admiral' player, but also a large range of ships can be produced and commanded. However, I do acknowledge that there are limitations to everything, where smooth game performance will be sacrificed with very large unit counts in-game. But in any matter, here are a few suggestions that I found:

    (all this information from http://www.mahq.net/mecha/gundam/index.htm)

    [0083] Jukon Class -Combat Submarine (Delaz Fleet)
    refit jukon armaments not mentioned, but original jukon with missile launcher x 9, torpedo launcher


    [0083] Zanzibar II class (Lili Marleen) -Mobile Cruiser (Delaz Fleet)
    with 2-barrel main gun x 2, 2-barrel secondary gun x 4, 120mm machine gun x 8


    [0083] Birmingham class -Battleship (Earth Federation Forces)
    with 2-barrel main gun x 5, main gun x 1, secondary gun x 4, 2-barrel laser turret x 12, 12-tube missile launcher x 2, missile launcher x 4


    [0083] Pazock class -Transport Ship (Axis)
    with (in quotes) "many x machine gun turret"


    and that's it for the ships involved from 08th ms team to 0083 series. As for mobile suits, I do have a point to say - whatever happened to GP03D, GP03S and, to counter those two, Axis' AMX-002 (AMA-X2) Neue Ziel
    with "mega cannon, mounted in torso; 9 x mega particle gun, 4 mounted in shoulders and 5 mounted in tail binder; 2 x wire-guided heavy claw arm, mounts mega particle gun/beam saber each; 4 x hidden sub-arm, mounts beam gun/beam saber each; 4 x large missile launcher, 5 round magazine per launcher, mounted in hip boost binders; 2 x 6-tube micromissile launcher, 10 round magazine per tube, mounted in hip boost binders; 12-tube micromissile launcher, 10 round magazine per tube, mounted in tail binder; 4 x I-field barrier generators, 2 mounted in shoulders and 2 mounted in tail binder, provides 360 degrees of protection against beam weapons"
    (godly, wouldn't you think?)


    I think if these suggestions go into the mod, the mod would feel a lot more complete in terms of loyalty to the series - to a certain extent, as everything should and would be when we are looking through the lense of a game - and moreover, it'd encourage players to build more ships too (which can be helpful in the early half of a game as ships can have high HP and can tank small damage from those early suits) rather than simply going for mobile suits as "the only method of gameplay".

    I conclude my rather lengthy addition proposal by saying that all of the above are just my two-cents :2cents:.

    To CrossBone: In the earliest production of the mod, it was declared that the mod would pertain to the episode years of 0079 - 0083. OZ and Neo Zeon are from Wing AC years and Gundam ZZ episodes respectfully. The modders have said that any inclusion of only the early years of Gundam helps keep the game realistic and intense in terms of combats instead of high beams burning up everything in a single shot and leavin the victim goin . and which would then lead to players battling it out over cheapness with neolithic hammers. much like what we see here: :fight:

    The first ship you suggested is a submarine... I think it would be just wrong to put it in space.

    And the third one is in the game. Check the screen shots you can see it

    looks like I got too much into -- got my mind mixed up with the thought of having a torpedo launching ship to track down mobile suits, which was much inspired with HW's Torpedo Frigate against corvettes hahaha underwater submarine in space, what was i doing hahahaa.

    Thats right, but maybe more ships would make the races too similar since Zeon uses MS to engage combat and USFS relys more on cap ships, if im not wrong, many USFS officers dislike MS

    So, in my opinion Zeon Should have more variety in MS and not so many Zakus, ans EFSF should get more capital ships, carriers, and so on. BTW: zanzibar class II could be a great adition to mod, like Neue Ziel, but carefully, it could be unbalancing, just like GP02s Nuke :P

    Just my last idea, give USFS another MS instead de rx78 its sooooooooooooo old fashioned lol :P

    Well most of the official games count Dopp as "atmosphere only" vehicle.

    And no, flying in atmosphere and "moving" in space is very different. Some vehicles can do both, but Dopp shouldn't be one of them.

    Well, as I said before, I think adding more ships shouldnt be priorital, so if a ship was designed for atmosphere, shouldnt appear in the mod (except the Kampfer, its just too cool) so the feeling and fighting way of both races are kept in the mod, because its that what makes this mod so amazing, the feeling to command Zeon or the EFSF, and not playing a gundam mech collection

    Just one more thing...

    KAMPFER 4 PRESIDENT!!!

    Big Zam? I would think so because Nue Ziel wouldn't "feel" right without its Dendrobium counterpart and vice versa, while Big Zam can appear solo.

    it would only be fair if the federation got dendrobuim,since zeon have more ms and ship types, plus zeranthres dosent balanced out physalis being there with its giant nuke laser

    I wouldnt like to storm a mothership surrounded by those "carriers" lol, now, seriously, I think the mod is pretty well balanced, Zeon has few cap ships but a lot of MSs, while EFSF has more cap ships and less MS types, but less powerful, and yes I agree with U people, if Zeon gets Neue Ziel, EFSF should get Dendrobium(or however its written)

    Something this mod needs too is more bullets on screen and less beams, more missiles and more antimissile batteries, man, it looks great when a cruiser shoots a missile barrage and ships shoots at them, U never know if you will kill them all

    Just a question, its my imagination or gp01 is a bit crappy compared to the gp02?

    i think it should be several mobile armors instead of just one, dont u think? shouldnt the ai be released in like a 2.3 version and the rest of the MA's in like 2.4? then, anything else missed in 2.5? That seems kinda fair

    But if they start releasing too many MAs without nerfing them, feds are going to be in trouble because most of the MAs are Zeon's.

    Why did Zeons get the production right to GP02 in this mod is beyond me...

    Well MAs were very different among them, so maybe if only one at a time is allowed to stay in battlefield... you would have to choose the one fitting to your gameplay stile or combat needs, but as said up there, most of the mobile armours were Zeon so feddys would have great problems. Maybe just Neue Ziel and Dendrobium should be in the release, and put more variety on MSs in both races,

    The Gp01 and Gp02 are somewhat a match in strength exept for mass and the nuke
    dyson, the first ms that zion had that really equled the rx78 in power was the gelgoog
    so there is no reason to get rid of it
    with all the posts about to many zaku's, they really should be changed to the ones i posted earler
    also nead the gm because its the federations first massproduced ms

    i dunno whats up with all this talk about game imbalance. In my point of view theres no such thing as game imbalance. It all depends on the strenght of the person playing. once i fought 21 magellans, i knocked em all out with vaygr missile corvettes (51 squads of em). It all depends upon the skill of the player, not about how powerfull the units are.

    can somebody try these speeds out? I'm having a little trouble.
    I rename the .TZJ to .BIG and unbig it or whatever and modify the .ship and put it back into .BIG and rename it .TZJ, but the game crashes when i start a multiplayer game against the cpu. I dont know it these are would work or not so...

    If one side gets a unit with 40000 health with 1000000 damage attack with rate of fire of 900 rounds per minute with 1 ru cost, and other side's army is consisted of 1000 health units with 10 damage per second units with 10000 ru cost, is the situation still totally up to the players?

    Granted that example is extremely exagerated, but imbalance can exist.

    i still dont believe in it. Anyone can beat an extremely powerfull unit. All it takes is skill, thats all. And btw, that example isnt exaggerated at all
