Now we don't need to re-hod stock models![]()

Works for me. Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader? Its kind-of required to read the file.

If you have contributions, forward them to me via PM and I'll amend the guide with proper credits given.
For example the "troubleshooting" section is underpopulated at the moment. There are a lot of things that can go wrong (esp if you're managing whole fleets of modded ships)!
Yes i do.Works for me. Do you have Adobe Acrobat Reader? Its kind-of required to read the file.
When i click on the link,Adobe opens up and all thats there is a white blank page and on the bottom left corner of the toolbar it says "DONE"
I then right clicked to save it and when Adobe trys to open it,it says:
THERE WAS AN ERROR OPENING THE DOCUMENT. THIS VIEWER CANNOT DECRYPT THIS DOCUMENT
Ok i got it.
The problem was that i had Acrobat Reader 4.0 and the PDF'S that i was trying to open must have been saved with versions higher than this.
Once i installed V 7.0 i had no problem.

Definatly a useful little tutorial
One question I have to raise is why can't hardED open any .HOD files that I make myself using Maya(6.5)?
I have no problem opening the original .HODs but mine never seem to work.
Ofcourse I can edit the hardpoints of my own ships in Maya so it's only an issue if someone else was wanting to edit one of my .HODs![]()
Cake can change the nature of a man!
This is an exalent tutorial! i can finaly do what i wanted with harded. exept that if you read the fourm on harded, you would know that pressing "t" with a position highlighted you would know that it would open up a posioner. this makes it much esiyer. i myself has forgone the "point picking" part and my hardpoints seem to work fine.(even if i did put them a few meters above the hull. ive been working on the galatica on the bsg mod(for fun, not for the mod as it only has 2 guns in the relise.[it is only the modle of the galacta over the fighter] it now has 4 points for guns and the trails work{kinda work}) theres my 2 cents on the subjectlater!
not relavent, testing whether 'search' option in forum appears after I post. I know there used to be a #&$%# search option...

As the PDS website has been shifted to a new host location, the link to the Guide is:
http://www.pds.hwaccess.net./forum/v...=326#post_4145
I aim trying to make a pusarcorvete whit 2 guns one on top and bottom
I can change the position from the existing gun from top to bottom but if I make a new entry I can not change te name from new entry to what I want it stays new entry
Tel'Quessir would you mind if I make that guide also available at HWAccess? Many thanks for considering.

As I've received a ton of mails stating that folks can't find any working HardEd download from the Tanis Shipyards here, I've taken the liberty to upload a copy to Filefront:
