Check this out, a cool video showing what might happen to you the next time you play a video game at your local pub!
Post your thoughts....is it cool, or not, is it real, or not.

The torment of precautions often exceeds the dangers to be avoided. It is sometimes better to abandon one self to destiny.

I saw that one a while ago,but I dont think its real.
The flashes making the guy fall asleep doesnt seem possible.
but its pretty cool to see how the guy reacts
this guy is ok, the rest of his stuff, is more believeable since he doesnt always get it 100%, he says and explains how he can tell these things instead of the "david balne" im god attitude.
the one he did in the "hornted house" was great. He jusy used impression and suggestion so much, they began to belive it. They did seem like very fickle teenagers though.
C4 got a lot of complaints from religious people saying it was the work of the devil........but the "dead" girl who was ment to be the ghost...wass sitting in a van outside. No its not the devil..its TV. It was all in their heads and it was an experiment to show that.
People should pay attention

Okay im confused. The kid fainted in the middle of playing the game or something? And i wasnt aware an unconcious person could stand up like that without falling down o.O.
It just looks like it was all setup to me.

1) Peekaboo does not scare babies.
2) This was posted here before.
3) It wasn't even worth my time then.
Yes, this was posted here before. I thought it was funny. -Just to get in before the lock.
This was good for a small laugh... But the kid didn't notice he was fending off the armies of the undead with a paintball gun? :/

I saw it when it was on TV, i'm slightly suspicous, but he doesn't remember a thing, so if its not a set up, HOW MANY TIMES HAS IT HAPPENED TO ME?

Well, duh.
No need to be the person who has to point out that hypnosis is fake or magic is fake. I think most of us around here are intelligent enough to get that or at least have severe doubts -- and if not they shouldn't be going someplace where there's alcohol anyway so there's no problem scaring them out of pubs.

Ummm... hypnosis isn't fake. It's quite surreal to watch, but certainly not fake.
#16
hypnosis is the power of suggestion, but I doubt it could delete a memory.

Hypnosis can make you think something isn't there, or doesn't exist like they don't acknowledge it, but it can't alter memory.
"So now, less than five years later, you can go up on a steep hill in Las Vegas and look West, and with the right kind of eyes you can almost see the high-water mark — that place where the wave finally broke and rolled back."

I wish this really did work..... and Derren Brown made me do it.... it'd be shit scary but awesome nonetheless....
I'd also put up a better show than this guy being an avid FPS gamer.... lol strafing around the room, headshots left and right..... I'll shut up...

Next stage should be something close to VR.
Though getting it to work without turning people into vegetables would be tricky.
It would do a whole lot for immersion though.Bullets pinging off the stone near your head, explosions rocking the building, etc.
FPS gamers would have a field day.

I didn't make it clear, I was referring to stage hypnotism, not the slightly less bullshit psychological trance method. Like deathwings said, it's half the power of suggestion and half a conscious willingness to do what the man with the diploma tells you (the Hawthorne Effect which is what all stage hypnosis relies on. If they aren't playing along, they tend to get booted off by the 'hypnotist' for one reason or another.)
The illusion would be over the moment someone punches/kicks someone out of fear (the woman on the floor for example)... I don't think getting punched was in their job description.
Fake...Cool but fake.

Thank you for bumping this thread to inform us. The world will rest easier now that your opinion has been declared.

Hypnosis can and does alter memory, hence the controversy surrounding the whole repressed memory thing. A clumsy or just plain unethical therapist can easily plant false memory.

Don't bump old threads just to chime in. Nobody cares if you think it's fake. It's already been stated. Don't post if you're not adding something to the discussion.
