I think there is a different release date for the Gold Edition, sept. 23rd. Not sure what country its for though.

Heck no, what sites have you been visiting? Everywhere I check it's the 19th.
ok i have a question, if it is the 19th of sept. Will it actually be in stores that day. Or is that the day it ships from the suppliers to the stores. In which case it will take a few additional days for them to reach stores.

I'm pretty sure it's the shelf date. Retailers usually recieve the game a few days before they're permitted to place it on the shelves to ensure that the release is simultaneous with other stores. A shipping date would be pointless, because not all stores recieve the product on the same day.

The wording of the document important. The statement doesn't mean the game is available on that day. It means the game will go out on to the stores that day.
It could well mean the game would be shipping from the EB warehouses to the stores. Depending on the distance from the distribution centres to the retailers, some stores may get the game later.

In my experience the release date has been the same date that the game is in the store.
If it was when the game shipped from production, then how would people know when it's actually in store? It would be a useless bit of knowledge. It doesn't make any sense, and hasn't historically been the case for me.
I'd bet that EB is referring to their warehouses.

when a game goes gold it ships release date is when it is ON shelves at least here in canada.

Yeah it does suck a bit, but remember, we are a day in front of the UK and USA so we really get it on the 29th :PI feel mighty sorry for Australia.

It is indeed an annoyance, but it's always been like that with us. Still, it's not like we couldn't hold on and wait that little bit longer, and as Smit1000 stated, it's not anywhere near as bad as some other things that get released much later here, such as movies.I feel mighty sorry for Australia.
Hopefully a WA demo will come out to mitigate the late release in Australia

Lot's of misinformation in Germany/Austria
Some pages say between 15th and 16th sept.
amazon says 30th sept.
some pages say the gold is released earlier, others say later.
But the release date is not my major problem.
I got the UK version in Austria from a special retailer who sales WA for about 36€ ~ 40$, the German Gold Edition would only cost 26€.
I hate this problem with different Language Versions. I want a UK GoldVersion in Austria for about 35€.
The German translation of DoW is ... awful.

To above: I would expect it to have the same spec requirements as the original... although they might be slightly higher as they said they were improving the way the terrain 'looks and feels' on the game. However, im sure there would be an option to turn off any unwanted improvements.
isnt it same specs but they improved the engine so it needs the same spec but works better

I still refuse to accept the date of the 30th for Australia so I went down to my local EB games and found they as useful as a one legged man in an arse kicking contest.
Their system said it would be released on September 1 but he went on to say that the date was wrong and it would probably be in fact a week after meaning anywhere from the 5-9 September.
All I am hoping for is that Australia gets it sometime between the 20th and the 25th, fingers crossed! (despite evidence to the contrary that it comes out on the 30th)
