Give me back my lascannons please!

Last time I will complain give me back my weapons!
    :rage:
I don't care what u ppl say demon ammo=useless add on!
500/500 to get a vehicle which costs almost as much as a baneblade and gets owned by maybe 2 sentenels-what ever anti tank u can throw at it.
rules change please, if a unit type can kill structures then it should have no trouble with vehicles(just a moving structure realy), and heavy infantry. Just makes sence to me, but then I like games that don't require a full bottle of asperin everytime u play.
Not realy much to ask for realy a little logic here and there
"yeah I know its a game" but still you would think that a unit that is good at destroying heavily armoured targets would aply too all types of targets.

I don't know why they're cutting back on so much of the anti-vehicle stuff. It seems Chaos lost all anti-vehicle in everything but Horrors (which suck, anyways, but HAVE YOU SEEN HOW MANY OF THOSE THE AI BUILDS? IT'S FRIGGIN' NUTS!!!), IG are in the same boat with only Sentinels and Baneblade doing any good with vehicles and SMs lost a good portion with Hellfire Dreadnoughts with no more Lascannons on them. Only the Eldar (with all the Brightlance weapons AND Fire Dragons) and the Orks (lots of Rokkit Launchas with those guys) seem to have the appropriate amount of anti-vehicle firepower.

To be fair, Orks lost most of their rokkits, too.

Now, since if used in any decent, intelligent fashion, Horrors tear the crap out of vehicles, (or at least they do MY vehicles when they're used against me) would you all PLEASE stop whining about them? Yes, they were useless before WA, so things were CHANGED.

You aren't allowed to say that Chaos has no anti-vehicle and say that Horrors are useless in the same sentence and claim to be sane.

I'd be quite happy if Fire Dragons could deepstrike like Horrors. Funny that no one here seems to have heard about the grass on the other side of the fence... It's greener, you know.

I found that general tier 2 chaos units seem good enough in cc with vehicles anyway and possessed are good vs most things, upgraded or not. If your opponent has vehicles then you might have machine pit up also and defilers are great conters to vehicles if you havent got to upgrade you preds (although they do decent damage vs vehicles too lol).

Honestly I find that all units tier 2 and up are good vs all units.

Horrors still aren't that great. They may now do a lot of damage to vehicles, but they die really easily. I've had no success against vehicles with Chaos. Just relying on Horrors for that purpose is like the IG relying on Sentinels. Not worth it as they are fragile and die very easily. I've had no troubles with vehicles much as the other races. If Chaos at least still had Missile Launchers as well as Horrors doing what they do now, then it'd work better.

I think some of you are missing the point. Horrors are sort of a "back up" AV. PSM and 'zerks have incredible penetration-- they can cut down tanks and vehicles pretty well on their own.

Then you've got the defiler who still seems to be pretty nice AV with its Twin-linked Autocannon. And the Horrors that can deepstrike and reinforce any army instantly (as well as being a pretty nice chunk of HP to suddenly pop up on the battlefield).

Then, in "tier 4" you get an unnaturally cheap Chaos Predator with enough penetration to take on pretty much any target and do well.

Personally I don't think that Chaos has a lack of AV-- I think that most Chaos players just don't realise how many of their units are decent AV as well as being deadly combatants.

Where the hell is this "nearly as much as a baneblade" coming from? 150/300 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< 400/400. And it's for a unit that does well against infantry and vehicles (a VERY useful ability). If you really want AV weaponry, get a Defiler.

Seriously speaking, I think Chaos has decent anti-vehicle capabilities. The AI on Standard onwards seems to climb to that really quickly. Predators and Horrors and Khorne Berserkers are tough buggers with good anti-vehicle damage.

Imperial Guard players have to climb to Sentinels very fast if they are going to stand any chance of fighting and destroying enemy vehicles.

Space Marines...well...get ready your Space Marines with 5 Missile Launchers. Hellfire Dreadnaughts are not going to stand a chance against vehicles like Predators and Leman Russes. Space Marines have to climb to Tier 3 to get their Predators with Lascannons to survive.

Ork players need lots of Rokkits because their accuracy is really rock bottom. Down right lousy. You need to fire them en mass to at least get 2 or 3 to hit.

God, can you players stop whining and actually play like men with skill and THEN figure out what needs to be balanced? And suggest it like a real man with punctuation and grammar?

Orks have Wartrak's twin-rokkit (wartrak also got a considerable health buff and now can have lobba as well has rokkit at the same time). Its quite effective I might add, especially in hit-and-run packs. Use them similar to sentinals to achieve victory(you should see some microing of sentinals. I do it ok).

Ork infantry rokkits are just as accurate as their SM counterparts, and always have been. Trakk rokkits are inaccurate but fast firing.

Just a little FYI, Neo, the Hellfire's missiles are anti-infantry, not anti-vehicle. To be honest, though, Hellfires aren't exactly great against infantry either.

SM AV, so far as I can tell, devolves into the generalized following:
Missiles (..Aw, come on. They get FIVE. Space Marines can get enough missiles to take down tons of things before they get anywhere near you), Dreadnoughts (I haven't personally tested this, of course, but in DoW the Dreaddie seemed to be able to outright beat any other walker & was more than capable of killing tanks), Predator Annihilators (Oh Gawd, the enemy tanks are leaking oil in fear), the Land Raider (Now with more stompy) and Assault Terminators (Perma-stun + decent penetration = corpse-tanks).

Seems to me that IG have the weakest AV in the game, in all honesty, with their primary "counters" being the LR, Hellhound (not so sure about this one), Sentinels, the Baneblade and possibly Ogryns in CC.

The Lascannons do a bit more than 50, if I recall correctly.

It's not perfect, but it's something.

The "50 DPS" thing comes from the Super Battle Cannon, if I'm remembering the right thing. The SBC doesn't exactly fire each second, either.. so it's doing something like 150 damage each shot (with a very nice splash).

Plus, it's only one gun out of.. what, 7?
