Hello there!

I have been playing Dawn of War since the release and I think if there is one constant in the universe then it surely must be the game browser.

I hope I'm not the only one to find the browser inconvenient to say the least.

First of all, it would be nice if you could sort the games not only by their game name but also by

a) Max Players
b) Map names
c) Ping

and by a combination of those categories.

Another convenient feature would be a filter with several filter options; for example, sometimes I would like to tell the browser to sort out quickstart games.

Most importantly however, I find the way the game browser refreshes itself more than annoying. Ideally, only entries that need to be changed should be updated and not the entire list. (Sometimes this is really annoying when you double click on a game while the game browser is refreshing making you join the wrong game).

Frankly, the game browser is in an unacceptable state (since the release, I might add!).
A superb game like Dawn of War deserves a decent game browser.

Some issues I have:
Scrollable areas jump to the top or bottom of the area whenever content changes. For example: viewing chat history is very difficult and trying to join a game at the bottom of the list is a pain when games are coming and going, causing the game list to jump back to the origin.

Why can't we see who's already in a game? When I'm looking for a game with my friends, we'd prefer to find a game with a clan in it rather than two randoms. At the moment, it's pot luck.

Double-clicking to join a game is dangerous. You can click on a game, then another game will be created, moving the game you clicked down the list. When you next click, it's still counted as a double-click, but it'll try and join the wrong game.

The chat channel really needs moderating or something to prevent idiots from basically spamming it with game adverts. We can see the game list just fine, there's no point in posting "2v2 n00bs" 10 times in quick succession.

There's not a lot Relic can do about this, but what's the deal with joining the US HQ channel only to start talking in a non-English language?! There's an EU HQ channel and it wouldn't ever be empty if people who wanted to talk in French/German/Polish would just use it.

Agreed, some flood protection would be good. Quite why some people feel the need to spam the channel with single letter messages just to annoy everyone else I don't know. They must be really bored.

People do use the EU HQ, it gets quite busy during the evenings euro time. It's pretty dead during the day though, so anyone that wants a game has to go to where the bulk of the players that are awake / not at work are - the US HQ. People can speak in whatever language they like in chat, it's not like it stops you from getting a game. Landing in a team that doesn't speak your language can be tough sometimes though.

i agree, the browser needs some serious changes.

a very nice feature would be the abillity to receive whisper messages ingame and reply them. seeing the name of the game a friend has joined would be very handy too.

Why o why do all the different chat rooms have different game pools instead of one game pool listing for the entire lot? Lameness, of course everyone will join one room independant of their language and spam it with meaningingless rubbish.
