Ok thanks for telling me. Now I feel more comfortable with that. But I'm still to lazy to download those programs and do all that shit. Could someone please just post the music files?

I'm getting a weird Run-time error. I was getting error 429 before, but I used KickStartRom's advice and managed to register LuaDC.dll. Now I'm getting Run-time Error 5: Invalid procedure call or argument.
How do I fix this?
Look at the bright side, kid - you get to keep all the money.
Just finished converting Dark Crusade music to .wav![]()
Only about 10 new full-length music files:sadpanda:
Nothing really great like in the original DOW, just good backround music.:guitar:
I have been cross checking the new soundtracks with the soundplaylistmusic.lua and it seems that none of the new battle music are the fully mixed versions, just the percussion/brass versions which does sound very soft ingame.
Seems like a shame to me.
everthing works for me except i cant find any of the music or sound form DC and WA (i have all of them dowloaded on my D: drive ) that matter when i extracted the "W40kData-Sound-Full.sga" in the dark crusade directory. i couldnt get anything from IG necrons or tau, only found the old stuff for the original 4 races in both the "dawn of war" folder and "dawn of war - darkcrusade" folder i had.
Same here. I can find the W40kData-Sound-Full.sga but I can't find the file for the DC music.
UPDATE:
I found the file that has the DC music.
It's under:
<Drive>\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\DXP2\DXP2Data-Music.sga
To extract the files, read the instructions on the first post.
There should be 117 files if converted to WAV.

wow there it is lol thx a buch, hope i can find the music i was looking for now![]()
Does this thing work for Homeworld 2 sound files as well? I asked because of this one problem:
If I tell give the program the code "fda2aifc.exe *.fda", the program's response is: File Not Relic Chunky.
Where did I go wrong? Hope for some answers a.s.a.p.
That's because Homeworld 2 doesn't use FDA's. It actually uses AIFC as standard, so look up that second program that changes it from AIFC to WAV.
How come the files are in .FDA form?
EDIT: Never mind. Thanks for the help there.
No problem. No idea why they gave them the extension FDA without conversion. o_O
hey guys, im trying to find the sound files for the endgame movies for each of the races in dark crusade. so far ive been unsuccessful. can anyone help me out pleez?
totally awesome guide dude, now have termies smiting the foes of the imperium whenever i open firefox lol.
ok, i found the sound files for the endgame movies thanx to james raynor.
it was in the sga file under Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\DXP2\Locale\English
under data\sound\speech\nis
all the way at the bottom under filenames str_nis_rac_outro_*racename*.fda
I'm having the same problem as Gabriel. I've downloaded and installed VB6 SP5, but when I input regsvr32 luadc.dll into cmd I get the message Loadlibrary(luadc.dll) failed - The specified module could not be found.
Also, I get Run Time error 429 active component cant create object when I try to open SpookyRAT.
Any help would be appriciated!!
Friends greetings,Hey RyanY did you try this?
Start->Run...
cmd
cd c:\windows\system32
regsvr32 luadc.dll
regsvr32 comdlg32.ocx
regsvr32 mscomctl.ocx
It helps me when i re DL SpookyRATv200 and try to move some of the files in c:windows\system32 i get an error but doing this command, i was able to usu it.
Got it working now, I forgot to copy the DLL and OCX files into the system32 directory. Thanks for the help.
I can't seem to find the files for sound effects like speech etc, does anyone know where I can find them?
and for the units sound it's in :\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\DXP2\DXP2Data-Sound-Full.sgaok, i found the sound files for the endgame movies thanx to james raynor.
it was in the sga file under Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\DXP2\Locale\English
under data\sound\speech\nis
all the way at the bottom under filenames str_nis_rac_outro_*racename*.fda
All of this for dark crusade.
I haven't updated stuff for DC yet, but the unit sound location for the first games is listed in the very last paragraph of the original post.I can't seem to find the files for sound effects like speech etc, does anyone know where I can find them?
I could really use these music files for a video project Im going to be using but this process just isnt working. I hate to be a picky pete but could somebody upload the files for download somewhere? Thankyou very much,![]()

@redrum
That music would probably be the Ork theme
It's in the wh40k folder and in the "W40kData-Sound-Full.sga" file under "music_ork_theme".
This is great as I'm converting the videos to have sound
Although....does anybody know which AVI is the one for the new Dark Crusade intro? Because I've looked everywhere and I can't find it![]()
Assuming a default installation path, it would be like this:
C:\Program Files\THQ\Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\Engine\Movies
dow_intro.avi
Doh!
I quickly looked at the filesize and it was the same as the old DoW one so I thought it was the same.
Thanks mate:thumb:
I finally discovered where to find the DC musci.
anyhow do you think this could work for extracting the music from DOW beta?
I remember there are some songs that only appear on the beta version and where pretty cool.
The same process would probably work. I'd be curious about what you find - it seems odd that there would be songs in the beta that didn't end up in the full game.
by the way do you know where are the voice files? I am looking for the speech of the demon prince, tought I can only find the fx sounds.
I am looking for the speech file of the demon prince when its says, I am destruction incarnate.

Just a guess, since I haven't extracted it: Dawn of War - Dark Crusade\DXP2\Locale\English\DXP2Data-Sound-Speech.sga
I managed to find the one of pathetic Creature and Your Souls are Mine!![]()
anyhow now my next task is to find the loading music of when you assault an enemie capital.
if you notice the loading screen music is very nice, I wonder where is that music.
I already extracted the loading music of the normal games in case you would suggest that.
being a dow fanatic i create movie so i thought i could use the games music. right done the first few steps downloading that thing and putting in the files and registering them, but spookys tool doesnt work. could i do this with corsixs SGA reader instead?
All hail Vecctor!![]()
dear: ardias93 the files are 30MB each, and only one can be sent at a time, either give the tutorial your best, or send CERTERN tracks over, not thw hole lot. thanks
Here's an odd fact: the (brilliant) race music which plays in the Skirmish or Multiplayer lobby for Space Marines isn't with the rest of the music. It's not in the DXP2-Data-Music.sga file at all, actually.
Instead, it's in the WH40kdata-Sound-Full.sga file, in the WH40k directory. There's some other music in there, possibly from the first games.
Well worth a look.![]()
Yeh. I found the songs that were originally from the DoW still in the old files. Apparently DC installs that section like a separate game even if you only install DC and nothing else.
I'm trying to use these steps to extract and listen to some Homeworld 2 music, but when I use Command Prompt to start the conversion (which the extracted file is sitting in the same directory), it gives me an error that says:
File not Relic Chunky.
What the hell does that mean?

This only works for Dawn of War is why. Find the tools for the homeworld games in their respective forums, Viper.

Hmmm, I tried step by step the extraction procedure, and it worked, but after the first reboot I go a nice error message related to [insert here: typical windows error message] and had to reinstal windows.
Of course I only got to extract a part of the DoW soundtrack. But the WA is N/A.Is there anyone who has the full dow/wa ST in mp3 format? I mean other formats take up several megs of data. Anyway, looking forward for a full collection. Thank you.
#145
Do not ask for downloads, since Relic has not released them it is considered warez here. If you own the original game you can even extract the relevant data off the installation CD's.
*Angelic, inocent, puppy eyes looking at the comissar* What is warez?
Putting aside joking, understood, and I won't ask for it anymore.
Extracting off the cd ain't working either without the mentioned extraction program, and since I can't afford an other 2 hours of windows instal, I will just wait, 'till someone finds a less compromissing way to solve the soundtrack issues.
so it is not possible to get DC musics to mp3?
#148
Follow the tutorial but find the appropriately-named "DXP2Data-Music.sga" file to extract the FDA files from.
ah thank you for that, ill do it right away!

Be careful, you'd be making Relic IP available to people without the game - big no-no.Originally Posted by Finaldeath
