Listen to beats. Listen to people beatboxing. Imitate. That's really the only way to learn. There's no University of The Hood where you can get a BS in Beatboxing if that's what you were hoping for.
AKA: LoneStranger, lonestranger or some other variant.

Bobby McFaren was a master at making sound effects.
IIRC the entire song "Don't Worry Be Happy" and I mean every single sound in the song was made by his mouth.
