DOW web sites

Hi all, im not sure where i should be posting this, im about to start on a mod website. I was wondering if anyone can point me towards media restrictions and copyright info on using DOW images in a fan site. I need to know what i can and cant use without getting my self into trouble. I remember that there also used to be a fan site kit with images that were freely available for use.

If there are any webmaster who could give me a few ideas on how not to get my self into trouble and infringe copyrights please let me know.

I've never seen a website kit for DoW. As for modding and Intellectual Policy/Copyright, there is a thread somewhere, or read Games Workshop's own IP Policy (which is what applies): http://uk.games-workshop.com/legal/ip/

Basically, I think you can use images as long as it's fair use and you don't do anything to them that they dislike (like showing a Space Marine hugging some world leader and saying "Of course we'll help you, [insert name here]. Your world domination will be complete and all opposition will be crushed as heretics" or other more mundane things they might dislike).

Basically, though, there isn't anything you can do to guarantee not to get into problems, just things to reduce the chance because they reserve the right to complain anyway.

As for the DOW fan site kit ive found there was one but only in German, weird huh? It now seems to have been taken down though.

Again thank you, all usefull stuff. Who knows, once ive got this site underway i may start a thread on bulding DOW mod and fan sites.

If any moderators read this if you could indicate if this is allowed and where this thread should be placed that would be great as well.

Im not making a mod as such. Im making the web site for the TTmod although i might have a crack at doing the space wolves as part of that mod.
