:bow2: Dawn of War (and winter Assault of course...) is a GREAT game. :bow2:
 Compliments to all relic staff for this game!
Anyway, will relic do also a RTS of Warhammer "fantasy" (Bretonnia & Co.) ?
Please, say me yes!![]()

No.
Namco has the license, and they are currently working with the AoX team (their name eludes me) to make a warhammer RTS:
Warhammer: Mark of Chaos
Also, Black hole games (I think they were the ones) are working on a warhammer MMORPG: Warhammer Online.

Ah yes, quite right you are. Thanks for correctiong me. I'm terrible with names see...

I'm worse with names when it comes to friends. I remember voices, faces, but I tend to forget their names. Even some of my old friends. ^^;
“…Never ask a question to the Eldar, for he will give you three answers; all of which are true and horrifying to know…”
Here's the offical website for the WarHammer FB game. It looks to be very fun and should prove to be as enjoyable as DoW and WA. Both games from both genres of WarHammer will do nicely together.
Not since Shadow of the Horned Rat, or even Dark Omen have I ever been excited about a WarHammer FB computer game. But this looks to be a blast. Seems to take some inspiration from Dark Omen.
[Link to the WarHammer FB Game] - Don't forget to check out the trailer on the site. (Chose low quality if you don't want to register.)
To bring it into DoW: I wonder how similar, this game will be to DoW. Seeing the success of this game I'm sure Nameco wants to capatalize upon it. Do any of you think they might "borrow" somethings from our beloved Relic game?? - Comments?

DoW isnt appropriate for Warhammer Fantasy - I always pictured a WH Fantasy RTS being more like a Total War game.

Wich, judging by the previews, is a pretty good picture.
And yes, memory can be a very elusive thing.
And look what I found on google A racing game based off Gorkamorka, no less. Sadly it seems to have been cancelled, though there is a demo, Gonna hve to try that out...
Well thats what I thought as well. But I was getting at the idea of moral, cover, terrain affecting movment, and such. Not totaly the sole credit of DoW though since Kohan II had these features but none the less.
I belive there will be some form of group management system like DoW's "squads" since in the table top version of WH FB everything moves together. Even more strickly then in Wh 40k.
OT: List of all WarHammer Games for PC and other platforms. *Please be kind TBS, just though it'd be interesting.

Well yes then - morale and cover should play a large part in the game and it should also be squad based.
What Relic should do is make a homeworld like RTS based on Battle fleet Gothic! GW probably wouldn't charge too much for the license, taking into account previous relic-GW cooperation....
Thanks for this information.No.

...to make a warhammer RTS:
Warhammer: Mark of Chaos
I looked around and I saw the 2 videos of the game play and the nice trailer.
What I saw is too clean armyies marching on for battle...
What it makes Warhammer so loved is the DIRTY, SWEAT, DRIBBLE, RUST, SCARS and of course the BLOOD of the battles.
In Dawn of War all these is shown perfectly by the great work of Relic.
I hope they are doing the same in Mark of Chaos...

I would love to see something like this actually. The Homeworld... design, for lack of a better way of putting it, seems tailor-made for Battlefleet Gothic. What Relic should do is make a homeworld like RTS based on Battle fleet Gothic!

Probably a damn good one, havoc. Around the 2-2500$ mark is my guess. (If you aim at playing at full settings)

havoc: the game isnt due to be released for another 12 months and none of the pages I've found have given any info regarding system specs.
If you can run DoW smoothly then you will probably be able to run this smoothly (depending on how good a job they do optimising it), but really you are going to have to wait until nearer the time.
The game looks pretty good. And btw, grots are sooo imba in the game. Looks like will actually be useful, lol.
Also check these videos.

THey are called "Goblins" in Warhammer Fantasy, btw.![]()

Cool, the graphics look extremely sexy...the ingame videos were poorly chosen though - no sound and rather too much panning around watching units do nothing.
game is definently on my "to get" list.
to bad orcs and goblins are only mercenaries though, would of liked to see grimgor iron hide kicking some chaos ass.
I hope its like a base wirh resources, but if its like RTW i hope its good n not as crap as that game, cos WHFB r0x! Cos it aint 40k it wont have extra stuff will be the equiv of AoE...but 10x better cos they have cooler races, 80X the fluff and coolness.
Now if relic could just achieve some level of balance on this ppl wud be happy.

didn't they do a preview on this in pc gamer comparing it to the new lord of the rings a little while back?
one of the old men of wh40k...........................maybe too old
That MMORPG someone was talking about is dead. The project flopped.
#25
It flopped again? I know it flopped originally, but apparently this is a new company that was taking it on and not the old company from a few years ago.
*goes off to download the Gorkamorka game that he saw demo'd at Games Day in about 1999 or 2000!*
[edit] Actually, screw that, if they're going to force me to sign up for an account _and_ force me to enter my address to register then I'll find it somewhere else *goes out to hunt*

That Gorkamorka game is actually quite fun. Despite the fact it's a very limited demo which will never have a full product![]()
Let's Play Europa Universalis 3: Divine Wind
Let's Play Master of Magic: Abandoned
In the beginning there was nothing. Then Steam crashed.

I'll post a new reply since there's a reply now
The demo is also available from Download.com for free without registration.
As for the game, it was apparently intended for the Dreamcast (no wonder it failed!) and the site is still available (http://64.77.111.129/GAMES/gm.htm) although the downloads don't work. The Developers website is available at www.ripcordgames.com, but is very Flash-heavy.

It won't. Appearantly, you'll be presented with a strategic map on wich you can capture goldmines, farms etc. By the sound of it, it'll work a bit like Heroes of M&M.I hope its like a base wirh resources
That was literely years ago. As IBBoard said, a new company has started afresh. That MMORPG someone was talking about is dead. The project flopped
Yea, they did. Luckily for me the Swedish PCGamer had a long preview on the game that actually told you something more then "a very promising universe".didn't they do a preview on this in pc gamer comparing it to the new lord of the rings a little while back
The Nexus engine would be great for Battlefleet Gothic

Ever played RTW?(Rome total war) worst rts ever...you start with an army on that game. What i meant was i hope u start with a base, peons, etc and have to build up....whether that maybe capturing strategy points or goldmines....timber or power.....as long as u dont start off with a full army u cant reinforce and resources you cant get.It won't. Appearantly, you'll be presented with a strategic map on wich you can capture goldmines, farms etc. By the sound of it, it'll work a bit like Heroes of M&M.
I shall be very pleased.

Pet... Rome is NOT an RTS. It's a wargame. Subtle difference. By your reasoning Quake is a horrible RTS.
Sept 2005 PCGamer had an article about it, but it sounds more like DOW than it does Starcraft, same general idea: focus on battles, not on worker/economy.
