I'll definitely remember his sense of humor. Murph was an integral part of this community since as far back as I can remember.

    Bye, man. Godspeed.

..Damnit. He was the only guy in the entire forum who actually made me laugh.

Any idea how he died? The article just says "died unexpectedly". Were there health problems? Was there an accident?

This place just isn't going to be quite as amusing without him.

    Bye Murph.

Murph? One of the DOW mods?

I don't know what to say aside from "Rest in Peace". I really don't know much about him other than he's a fun guy to talk to.

Also, how on earth did he die?

    Anyways, god bless you Murph.

    Hey Murph,

You were the shit. Best avatars, best attitude, best posts. Your dorm bathroom dilemma had me in tears I was laughing so hard.

I hope you went out happy.

    Bye, Murph

Oh and sorry for annoying you on AIM so much.

I knew murph from way back in HW1 days (around 1998 ) and have enjoyed many a game with him.
I remember our days in NWN when we roamed around MERP together.

He was more then just a forum moderator. Was with the community since hw, posting in countless clan forums and this forum as well. Always on irc. His first nickname here was DeafandDumb.

Christ..... Please tell me this is some sick joke...

If not, R.I.P. Murph. I only talked to him a few times, but from what I gathered he was a great guy.

"Sanity... Now why would I want an annoying thing like that?"

I guess he made it to his Homeworld.

Didn't really know the guy, but I can sat that he was always willing to help, and I like that in a bloke.

There should be some kind of a tribute here.

Has there been any mention of a funeral?

I'm not sure, but I think that captions in HW2 could be partly due to Murph's criticism of HW1's occasionally lacking captions. I can't confirm it and I'm not really up to it right now.

    I'm going to miss Murph.

Like many others I've only really known him through IRC. With the others we've talked and joked around for the past 4+ years. He shared his weight and work concerns with us, and I'd like to think we helped him develop his self esteem by treating him normally. No one is deaf in IRC.

There's an empty hole in the nicklist right now, right by the L, M and Ns.

You're a great guy Murph. I'm glad to have met you.

Hopefully at the lake. Miss that place terribly in the winter.
Aw geez. I really liked the guy.

Being the inconsiderate prick that I am, I'm not going to haul out the checkbook and make a contribution to the Muscular Dystrophy association as the news article requests for those that wish to leave some sort of memoriam.

I'm going to write up a donation for Child's Play. The way I figure it, Murph probably saw the inside of a hospital more than once or twice in his younger years because of his deafness. He'd probably have appreciated having a video game or two to play, and maybe the same could be said for other kids.

I think Murffles would think something like that was cool, maybe.

    (bye)

This is just... Christ I don't even know what to say. I still remember his "Cataclysm Ninja" thread from way back when...

Rest peacefully, Murph. You were an integral part to this community, and even though I didn't know you that well, I still feel shell shocked by this news.

gg, hf, carry on. You will be remembered.

Agreed, Retro. I made my donations a while ago, but I'm going to tell myself and anyone who asks that they're in memory of Steven Jagaczewski, 1984-2005.

Fitz's words are comforting, as are the old threads frst's digging up and the talk on irc. Take care, man.

Didnt know him all too well but he was a familiar face on the forums and very obviously a involved member of the community who made it a brighter place (especially in relation to some members depressive attitudes :P) where-ever he is now he's probably making that place a little brighter to.

    Rest in Peace, dude.

I had only spoken maybe once to him, but I truly feel sad about this; let him rest in peace; the Greeks used to say that the gods take away early the ones they favor; I hope they were right in his case; goodbye, mate, though I never knew you
