Sounds like a good plan to me. I still tend to have a basilisk or two around in the late IG game. You have to micromanage their "attack ground" stance, but they are just wonderful at disrupting enemy formations and buildings.
Download my DoW maps "Redemptus Reloaded" (8p) and "Shrine of Sephreus" (2p) here.
Basilisks blowing up enemy troop concentrations are both fun to watch and effective; personally I prefer attaching commies to Ogryns when facing heavy anti-morale units (like PSMs), and having priests join up with kasrkins.
For me too, Russes and Baneblade (if you can afford it and the time it takes to bring one out) are the way to go in late game, other IG vehicles are just so much vulnerable to AV fire.
I have noticed that ogryans just dont cut it once any type of knockdown unit is out. I personally dont use them anymore and just get 6 kasrkins with prists and commies which i have noticed is quite effective even against mass amounts of ATs and other ogryan spammers.
yea ive been thinking of attaching the comms to ogryns for the max morale. But priests on ogryns get to use their chainsaw and i find invincibility on a melee unit is much handier than on a ranged unit![]()
Beware the maxed lemons they will break our wills with their tart flavor and blind us with their bright yellow skin!
