When I export a model, how do I make it so the animations actually work in game? All the animations are suffixed with .gmax in the object editor and I think(and have been told) that's why they won't load.

You mean in the RDN Tools Object Editor? You can rename each of the animations. If they just have the .gmax extension in the name, try first renaming them without.

That doesn't work.
This is weird. The "Making Your First Combinable Creature" Tutorial refers to some Pipeline.doc file that supposedly came with the RDN tools on how to export a creature. However, I can't find the Pipeline.doc file on my system. Anywhere. I don't think that I would have deleted it. In fact, I thought I saw it once. Maybe. But, memory can play tricks on you. Do you have the Pipeline.doc file on your system?

Yes I have it and I used it to export my model. I don't thinkit had instructions for how to make the animations work. Its in a folder called documents in your IC folder.
And, for those people that are also looking for it, it's not named Pipline.doc as listed in the tutorial I previously referenced. It's actually named IC_Pipeline_Documentation.doc instead. That is why I could not find it again before.
As for the problem, I'm not familiar with making models, so hopefully someone like Sauce will be able to answer this for you when things slow down at Relic again. Last I heard back from them, they were still extremely busy as of late. I assume that means busier than normal, since they would probably be busy all of the time anyhow.

3i, have you come across a similar thread to this by ioiioio? He had the same problem apparently.
Nope, I haven't seen it yet at the time of this posting. Post the URL so that there will be a link to it.Originally Posted by CamaspEmperor

I had the same problem, until I figured out that if I modified the exporter program to not check for extension, and I renamed my animation file to not have an extension. (I also copied the ref file and made one with and one without the extension, then you use the one with an extension to export). I then exported my creature and the animations worked, afterwards I did stuff in the object editor to make it work in game.
If you don't understand please post and I will help you get it to work as well.
