I still maintain that they should be aiming this at the grown up original audience, not the new audience. They're making the same mistake that Thunderbirds did.
It should be "R18 - contains realistic violence", and be a hard core sci fi action butt kicking movie with giant transforming robots that will PWN you, not the brightly coloured ok for toddlers boring stuff Spielberg seems to have decided it'll be.

I think that's a bit of a stretch because Thunderbirds went the WRONG way of introducing Thunderbirds to a new audience aka abandoning the puppet motion. They are right to try and introdcude a new audience. The way they did it was wrong.I still maintain that they should be aiming this at the grown up original audience, not the new audience. They're making the same mistake that Thunderbirds did.
Fortunately, Team America's a worthy spiritual sucessor.
I was so relieved it did not transform into Michael Schumacher.
