I tried the Search but nothing so I'll make the thread.Im wondering if there's any mod that makes Horrors have team colors, or if it's even possible to make.

I requested something like this once myself, it's apparently hard but doable. If someone should offer to do this, I'd like it too. (I'd want the Horror's body colored by trim, and eyes trim 2)
Im getting into skinning so I can take a look at it. One problem though, I dont know how to get the base skin.

I remember someone making different colored Horrors (I'm thinking it was davisbe). I guess it's would be something cool to look into.
[Edit] - Yep, it was davisbe.

Pink and Blue Horrors are cool, but wouldn't that require a mod to make 2 different horror models? (One using standard pink skin, one the custom blue skin.)

Pink abd blue horrors would require changes to the models, but team colourable horrors wouldn't.
Anyone can do it, it's just getting it right that's a bit more difficult (and having the time!)
I've got a tutorial called Making non-team colourable areas teamcolourable that should help![]()
I'd make the skin if I didn't have to download all those tools.. I wish you luck blackjoker if you try to do this skin.

There aren't that many tools - my new Dawn of War Texture Tool and a graphics program that can handle DDS files (because there isn't a WTP yet and so you'll need to create it from the RSH, which will extract a DDS file).
I would work on it, but I've got other things taking up my time at the moment (like a final year project for my degree :\ ) so I don't have a chance to skin much at all.
I'm not that good with art programs anyway, I'd probably just screw up a skin and everybody would hate it, I'll leave this sort of work to more artsy people. And good luck to you IBBoard.

Well, there aren't any WTP files of the horrors. Just RSH files in 256x256 pixels. Normally, from what I've seen, the files are in 512x512. It shouldn't be a problem to make wtp files. But it will take alot of time to make the skins and test it to see if it works.
[Edit] Ok, it didn't take as long as I thought it would to come up with a test skin (about 10 minutes).I think it's safe to say that dark colors don't work too well with the skin unless there's some serious retexturing done on it.

You shouldnt just teamcolor them but also give them some kind of shirt :jest: jk
I made teamcolorable assasin today in 3 minutes. I put on a eggs in water to boil and 3 minutes later when I was eating , skin was uploading on rapidshare. Some things are just to easy. and some are just too hard. [3dstudio]
Oh and adonis. desaturate the main targa and lighten a little the dirt layer. It should look beeter even in dark colors

I did that from the start and it still looks like crap. Not sure if it's the color of the original skin or what. I'll keep working it.Oh and adonis. desaturate the main targa and lighten a little the dirt layer. It should look beeter even in dark colors
That horror....... ROCKS!!!! You are awesome Adonis, a trim colored horror with trim 2 colored eyes would make my day, but great job anyway!

Thanks. I'm gonna fix it up once I'm done with dinner and done studying.![]()

Yer try sizing the map up to 512x512 so you can get more details onto it if you are going to retexture it before teamcolouring. (This might cause it to get a little blury though)
#17
Already did that. Since they get blurry when you resize them, the texture needs to be sharpened for better detail. But since it's a smaller texture, it's not going to be easy. If the horrors skins were in a 512x512 format from the start, this wouldn't be that big of an issue.
