Bring Back Wide Screen Monitor Support Please

So I heard back in 1.2 this game had it. Why the heck doesn't it now? It looks weird on my laptop.

DOW has never had wide screen support. You should set your system to use fixed aspect ratio.

I did, it still looks weird cause now there are artifacts or something along the upper border of the display.

There's a thread about this in the bug submissions and better support for widescreens may or may not be in the works.
