All Chaos Lords with Deamonic Stature are treated as Deamon Princes. They are just too big for anything else.
Thus if people don't want to be a Deamon Prince you are free to remove the Upgrade. Just let me know.

So, how do you decide who's fighting who?
Depends on how many people enter.
If I just do a standard Knockout, then it's drawn from a hat. The Romantic FA CUp style (no Seedings here!).
If there are a reasonable number, then I'll consider doing a European Cup style. With groups of 4, then into a knockout. But that depends on enteries, and how long I want it to take. And how long other people want it to take. And such.
Whatever format, it'll be selected from a hat.
Briangeneral: Your DP is illegal, as D.Venom cannot be combined with any weapons or gifts.
I would also like to point out for nareik that BloodThirsters cannot take any weapons or wargear other then whats in their entry.

Dread Axe against pretty much everything, P-Fist probably not needed much, but can be used against low armour save high T creatures when it's possible to instant kill them. Drugs fairly self explanatory. Not hoping for any specific Minor Psychic power, but Fuelled by Pain could work out nice, and if Siren is allowed it could be useful if I'm not gonna get the charge, just use whatever is most suitable in the situation.
How about a Jump Epistolary w/bolt pistol, terminator honours, iron halo, artificer armor, and familiar - 205

I have an objection to the charge idea. I really think that people should just start off in combat.
honestly in a real game there are many many things that cna be done to avoid a charging unit, especially with an IC.
If you insist that the charge must go through and that it is based off movement forms, then I would like to add a Land Raider Crusader to my Grand master please!

Both combatants get a turn of shooting, and then both get the benefits for charging. Works out fairly, and makes it a little more exciting.

The reasoning behind the charge rules, was because I felt if two players of equal ability faced off, then the player with the longest charge range would always manage to get the charge off.
But if people feel they would rather start already engaged that is fine.
If anyone wants to give some feedback on their view. So I can just get a few more opinions...

Seriously though, the charge makes all the difference in the world in many cases. And truly that comes not from anything particularly special about your guy other than the codex he came out of.
Do you see a Daemon Prince without a movement enhancer? No, why? Becuase you might as well take it, you've run out of Gifts to buy.
And besides when they do this for a tourny event no one gets the charge, everyone starts off in combat. I would also recommend that you put a limit on Minor Psykic Powers. People are taking 10+ not because they would ever do that but because once again there is no reason not to.

actually, that archon has one one-handed weapon and one 2-handed. its perfectly legal.
I'd say start of in combat but for the first round both models count as having charged (as I'd imagine in single combat both characters would run at each other screaming).
Although I'm biased since not charging really screws me over...

HA! I have a Techmarine and Nariek doesn't!
Will have it as both Characters are considered to have charged in the first round. This allows use of furious charge and such, which are often standard to many units.
@ Dodo. If you read your DE Codex you will see that next to the Punisher it says "No other weapons may be used" Page 5 of the Dex
@HiveMind. Techmarine is being taken for you.
@Popsumpot. Not grots. I expect someone of your capabilities to enter something useful. Perhaps something a little unexpected, that will suprise us.
And about Minor Psychic powers. I was thinking about this too. I'll limit it to 3. That number seems to be pretty common for Chaos Players I know. And it stops you guys from being rediculously overpowered. As Chaos has some pretty big advantages already, due to the Chaos Lord design rules. So I don't think you can complain.
However! If you wish to make a Lord based around the use of powers and are willing to sacrifice wargear and gifts to compensate then PM me and we will arrange something.
a keeper of secrets with that psychic power that makes him unharmable ( fluffwise, he transforms into a enemy soldier, for example, in a tau army he would change into a soilder so the enemy would think he's one of their own )

thank god you put a limit on minor powers. edited my entry to include furious charge, which i forgot to put in the points cost. although seeing as there isnt a points limit outside of codex restricition, i dont know why i bothered...im bored...
so how many entries are there so far?
28 so far, as it says on the first page, this is gonna be one hell of a thing to pull off Moofreaky, if you can do it you will become a legend thats for sure.
Just hope you are going to do more Vehicles , for instance, although that wouldn't be especially fair since there isnt as much choice and the monolith wins everytime, just about.
