Yeah, my apolgies. I just finished my last major assignment at uni today. So was out all arvo relaxing (w00t!). It means I shall have more time now, as these pesky assignments were thrown on us out of the blue just after starting this challenge.
I will crank out the next round tomorrow.
Dooks will be doing several of the groups this time, to help get everything back up to speed.
Great, me vs eldar next, im feeling a bit nervous.

Just to let everyone know I finished with my few groups today. in case you're wondering, NO! I don't know who won or what not. i deleted that information from my brain.
Only one of us is going to leave here alive and it ain't gonna be me!
No one is above the law...of physics.

Stop being a tease and post!
Please?

And yet the menace of the years

Seriously I can't. I did a few fights and sent them to Moo, then erased everything off my computer so that I wasn't even tempted to go outside of my responsibilities!
#408
Drat!
"Honestly, it's always the honest one you need to watch out for."
Well, can I ask what groups you did or did you "forget" that too?![]()

I think I did the last four or five groups, with my own entry excluded of course.
dooks if my skar boyz magically rolled all 1's for everything im gonna hunt you down!!!
#411
Okay here we go...
Group A
Bl4d3w4lk3r vs General Nuke Em
The shooting phase saw 6 Rough Riders cut down as they charged toward the Grey Knights. While managing nothing in return.
Despite their losses they continued to charged, spears raised and screaming at the top of their lungs.
The mass of spears cut straight through the Grey Knight armour.
None were left standing in the wake of the horse charge.
General Nuke Em wins
m0thra vs Cannon Fodder
The IG stood ahead of the mass of jibbering gretchin. The grots fired wildly as they charged forward, managing to kill absolutely nothing. In return 7 gretchin were killed by the Veteran IG's deadly aim. However, 1 plasma gun overheated and frued its wielder. The Slaver leading the Grots considered the exchange a victory for himself...
The vicious green blighters lunged into CC. Their sharp fangs sinking in wherever they could, claws scratching at every surface they touched and weapons firing wildly. The Veterans cooly killed 5 gretchin. Then 4 Guardsmen had their juggulars ripped open, and bled to death.
The melee continued to swirld. Both sides lost 3 warriors in the second assault phase.
Then everything came to a standstill. The gretchin and the IG failed to even hurt one another.
So the slaver took charge and ripped a Guardsman right in half.
The sight of this caused the remaining IG to flee.
m0thra wins
Group B
Invid vs TS_Ahriman
The mutants opened fire with their heavy stubbers. Killing a single Genestealer as the Tyranids charged silently forward. Their inaccuracy was severely punished, as the stealers then cut down 10 Mutants on the charge. In return just a single tyranid was killed!
The Mutants held their ground, losing another 5 of their number for their bravery. However, they did kill 3 more genestealers.
Despite this, their morale faltered and they fled the scene.
TS_Ahriman wins
Psygunner vs Nareik123
The Black Guardians opened fire, landing 8 wounds with regular fire and 2 with their heavy weapon.
However, not a single casualty was caused... However 8 were burned to a crisp, while a firther 2 were gunned down by stormbolter fire.
Unphased, the Guardians charged into CC. Landing another 3 wounds, but again failing to cause a casualty. Resulting in the rest of their force being wiped out.
Nareik 123 wins
Group C
CrossOrion vs SlickWilly
The Tactical Marine opened fire with their bolters. The Inquisitor was dealt 2 wounds, and his entire retinue was wiped out. The Inquistor's force's own guns failed to do anything to the heavily armoured marines.
Once in CC the marine cut down the Inquisitor, but at the cost of one of their own.
CrossOrion wins
BrianGeneral vs FerociousBeast
Guns were not imporant in this fight. The Nurgle Lord carried no ranged weapons, while the Orks were simply inept at using theirs.
The Lord drew back his scythe as the Orks WAAAGH!-ed toward him. Casually he cut down 3, while not taking a single wound in return.
The second phase saw him cut down a further 4. However, this time the Orks proved to be more dangerous. Their Choppas found their mark, and the Nurlge Lord was brought down.
FerociousBeast Wins
Group D
Terracomm7 vs Pazer5
The PigDok injected the Madboyz before the fight. However, he had mixed his suringes up, and rather than give them anything useful all he injected was Red Bull... making the Madboyz slighly more bizzare than usual.
Both forces opened fire, the Madboyz hitting on a number of occassions. However, failing to pierce the Eldar armour. However, the Eldar weapons killed 2 Styboyz.
Once in assault the Eldar blossomed. 15 Orks were culled, at the cost of just 1 of their own.
Then the Exarch stepped up and killed another Ork, with his Scorpion's Claw.
The Madboyz, probably messed up by that Red Bull, suddenly paniced and buggered off.
Pazer5 wins
Popsumpot vs Gru6y
Farseer #1 cast MindWar. But failed to do anything.
Farseer #2 failed to cast Fortune...
The CC began with the Eldar forces causing just 1 casualty. In return both Farseers took a wound and all the Warlocks were kulled.
But they refused to run.
Instead the Farseers stood bravely, unable to kill another Beserker. And were cut down brutally by the fierce Warriors of Khorne.
Gru6y Wins
Group E
Brother Paladine vs VeryBad
The Noise Marines failed to harm the massive Carnifex with their chaos weaponary.
Once in CC, they again failed to do anything. Instead it was left to the Aspiring Champion to dish out a wound with his powerfist. The Carnifex, striking at the same time as the Fist, killed 3 Noise Marines.
The Carni then regenerated the one wound it had taken... Desperately the Champion caused a further 2 wounds, while only losing 1 of his men in return.
Another wound was regenerated... The Apsiring Champion managed to remove another 1, but that was the last thing he would do. The Carnifex wiped out the reamainder of the force.
VeryBad wins
DarkWatcher vs Touristo
The Veteran Marines opened fire, woudning the Veteran Sister Superiour once. While taking no wounds in return.
The charge into CC saw the Canoness and all her followers massicred brutally before they could even react.
DarkWatcher wins
Group F
Evil Eye vs Apok
The genestealers open up with 11 rending attacks! 8 of the daemonettes fall. The rest of the attacks cause 15 wounds, the Daemons only save 4 of them.
Evil Eye Wins
Mirehn_Bielann vs Treeboy
The shooting phase saw the Spear of Khaine take down 1 Marine, while taking no casualties in return.
On the charge both forces showed how dangerous they are. The Spear killing 4 Veterans, while the survivers managed to kill 3 Warlocks.
The pace slowed dramatically in the second phase, with just a single Veteran being killed.
The 3rd phase was the final act. The Avatar slicing apart the final Marine.
Treeboy wins
Group G
RandomPerson vs Dooks Dizzo
The Plague Marines opened fire at the charging Terminators. Cutting down 2 of the Emperor's Finest before they reached melee.
However, once in CC the Termie killed 2 Plague Marines while losing none of their own.
The Thunderhammer and the Aspiring Champion then stepped up for their respective forces. Both cut down 1 of the enemy.
Leaving 2 Termies against 4 Plague Marines.
The Termies then cut down 2 of Nurgle's Servants. The Thunderhammer killed another, leaving just 1. The Aspiring Champion, however, would not go without a fight. He killed 1 more Terminator.
Random was left with 1 warrior. Lightning Claws had proved to be the most effective weapons so far in the battle. And to avoid taking the PowerFist attacks in return, they were chosen to be the surviving weapon.
However, for the first time all battle, they failed to cause a wound. The Aspiring Champion didn't need a second chance. His powerfist ended the battle.
Dooks Dizzo wins
Captain Plasma vs Coated_Trout
Both Daemonhosts managed to cast absolutely useless abilities... And host #1 was dealt 2 wounds, while host #2 was dealt 1, by the IG weapons.
In CC the hosts managed to kill just 1 Guardsman! And host #2 was dealt a second wound.
In the second phase host #2 doubled his attacks, and killed 5 Guardsman. All the while, host #1 did nothing.
The Guardsmen took a wound off each host, and the Juniour Officer showed his value by then taking the final wound off both Daemonhosts.
Coated_Trout wins
Group H
Exploding Geckos vs Nosekiller
Another match that goes straight into combat
The Lictors charge in with inhuman speed and deliver 2 rending attacks and 4 solid hit, but the Librarian’s Ancient armor holds and he makes EVERY save!
Winding back with his Thunder Hammer he leans in and knocks both Lictors into the sun.
Nosekiller Wins
Dropkick vs Inquisitor Zell
The Greenskins line up against some very nervous looking conscripts. Both sides open fire:
4 conscripts are incinerated, and 2 more go down from the random slugga fire.
In return the conscripts burn down 4 Orks themselves and let loose with their rifles killing another 3
Orks fail their leadership but the numbers are enough and they hold it together in time for a massive Waaargh! And charge into combat.
10 of the conscripts drop to Choppa’s through the face.
The Conscripts manage to plunge their bayonettes through the guts of 2 of the green skins.
Though they took major losses the conscripts held firm (rolled double 1’s!)
And they would slug it out again.
This time the Orks killed another 5 and the Nob fired up his power claw killing another 3.
The conscripts only manage to drag down a single ork! This time the fail their leadership and are ruthlessly cut down.
Drop Kick Wins
Group I
Kwijibo vs Zarathustrian
Tyranids against Tyranids in this fight to the death!
Both sides let loose with their ranged biomorphs, the Raveners manage to knock a wound off of the Tyrant Guard while the Hive Tyrant managed to kill 2 raveners and wound another.
Furious they both charge into combat. The Hive Tyrant takes down another Ranvener leaving only one left! The Tyrant Guard manages to finish the remaining Ravener while avoiding harm himself.
Kwijibo Wins
Cable vs Waterbizkit
The Harlequins open fire on the monstrosity before them, plasma burning the filth lord and causing a wound.
Both sides then charge, the super quick Harlequins attacking first managing to cause just enough wounds to take the Lord down.
Waterbizkit wins
Group J
Mig Mek vs Naj-zero
Battle of the Badasses here.
The shooting phase ends quickly when the Ether Lance fails to do anything and both combatants rush to come to grips. The Slaneesh Drug Addict fires up and gets +1 attack and chooses to ignore a wound.
Then he proceeds to murder the Necron Lord who fails to get back up….
Mig Mek wins
The Great Void vs The Shadow Duke
The Librarian burns down a spinegaunt and they respond by causing a wound to him in return.
Charging into combat the Librarian kills 7 of the nasty animals and though they manage to force eight saves out of the psyker his armor holds against them all. Losing their nerve outside of synapse they quickly flee the battle field.
TheShadowduke Wins
Group K
Cfoley vs Sword Monkey
The Chaplain, accompanied by 5 of his doomed brothers fire their pistols into the mob of broodbrothers killing three of them. Unloading with their shotguns the broodbrothers respond hitting thirty seven times!
The Chaplain is forced to take a save and fails it!
Unbelievable the ENTIRE Death Company goes down! Niether their armor nor their nature was enough to keep them up under the horrific hail of lead.
The Chaplain, utterly enraged jumps into the fray killing 5 Broodbrothers outright, and hack away at him as they might they are unable to take down the Chaplain who os seemingly insane with rage.
This causes them to buckle…which causes them to run….which causes the Chaplain to cut them down.
Standing in a field of the dead, Cfoley’s champion stands victorious.
Cfoley Wins
Murphy[Ork] vs W'rkncacnter
Unleashing with their Burna’s the Boyz cook 2 of the Eldar nancies and slugga fire takes down another one. The Eldar fire back with their lasblasters killing 3 orks and the Exarch manages to miss with his Web.
Even after passing their Waaargh! Check the Orks aren’t fast enough to keep up with the Hawks. But the reduced hawks only manage to score one wound and it is stopped by the superiority of Ork body armor!
The Exarch then steps in and utterly whiff’s! Only killing a single Green skin.
The Orks strike back slaughtering the Eldar to a man.
Murphy[Ork] wins
A biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiig thanks to Dooks, as he did 5 of the groups for me. He did not do his own group!
That got this round done much quicker, and got us back on schedule.
For all those of you who feel that you were robbed of a win. Poor rolling, bad luck etc. Or who just want another crack at someone in your group, who you feel you can beat or should have beaten.
Well you are in luck.
You will fight everyone in your group again. Starting with the person you jsut fought (European Cup style...), with the person you fought first also being the person you fight last.
It's damn close in many groups... so it will be interesting

Awww crap...Farseer #1 cast MindWar. But failed to do anything.
Farseer #2 failed to cast Fortune...

A question here Moo, Pazer5 and Gru6y are tied for second, and due to the likeness of your tournament system to the FIFA World Cup, i was wondering would you do a match between those two or would you count the "goals" (wounds/kills inflicted) and see who makes it through?
Darn tootin', that was bad.
I lived, thats a very good thing.
Good game Psygunner, i think your starcannon was upset.
Cfoley vs Sword Monkey - O_O Nice!
Also I like how the Grots rule in group A.![]()
Yay ^^. Go go mass bolter fire :P
I am NOT crossOnion
Originally From MooFreakyJust because a n00b can't pick up the army and use it does not make it weak!!
That Fex is a tough nut to crack, I tell ya

COnsidering I'd prepared to embrace a defeat among the Orks, got 7/15 downed isn't that bad fo rme. GG Beast......However I hope the D6 will be a 6 and thus will kill more.:evilnod:
(Whisper: You should have taken the Khronate Lord......)
And thanks Moo and Dooks for doing another round......Is the next round starts after those fights, and only top 2 from each group can enter?
Oh, nice job M0thra. I should respect the power of the Grots afterwards:bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:
Cfoley, bad luck for ya at first.
Well, maybe I won't get my ass kicked quite so hard this next time around...
#421
Wow, my fragile little harlies finally killed something. I figured they'd do better against large single unit entries instead of groups. I think my real problem is that I've greatly overestimated the power of three harlequin kisses. I've been expecting more insta-kills, and that's just poor strategy.
Anyway, happy I've finally brought down something. Once again I offer my many thanks to Moo and Dooks for doing this.
Kudos to all the winners, and good luck to all of you for the battles yet to be fought.
~Bizkit
Wow, that sucked. 4 Rough Riders killed 5 GK's on the charge... yay for not winning a game. :damnu:
#423
I am slightly upset, as you shouldn't have gotten saves from a Starcannon. Your models have a 3+ save and the Starcannon has AP2, and you don't have invulnerable saves to use. I've poured over the GH/GK rules, and can find nothing to explain how 2 of your models got saves against my Starcannon.
Plus, saving 8 wounds is a little far-fetched to be believeable, but possible so I can stomach that.
*Starcannon issue already sent to MooFreaky in a PM.
#424
Indeed Psygunner, the world would end if they made an honest mistake. Luckily, Moo is just out to get you.
#425
Very funny, TS.
BTW my previous post was directed at Nareik who said that my "Starcannon must be upset". The tone of my previous post wasn't to say I was genuinely upset, rather it was to jokingly say that I was, when in actual fact I'm confused about the whole GKs-getting-a-save-against-the-Starcannon issue.
#426
This is not the first occassion that you have told me that a result is far-fetched or bordering on unbelievable or some such. In a game where there are so many fights going on there are going to be occurences that are going to be extremely (un)lucky.Plus, saving 8 wounds is a little far-fetched to be believeable, but possible so I can stomach that.
I know it was not your intent, but I just feel it's a little unfair to have such a reaction to such an occurence. It was just poor wording on my behalf. The Starcannons hit but failed to wound, I just typed in the wrong thing. These fights take a very long time to play out and then type up, so there will be times I fuck up wording or even make an outright mistake.
Dooks can vouch for how long this takes, so getting upset about it isn't exactly the best way to go about it.
If I make a mistake I have no problem admitting it and completely redoing a fight. But in this case, it was just poor wording.
I'm not trying to pick a fight, or have a go at Psygunner. Just letting people know
Im shocked my Libby is doing so well. I figured he would be out on the first horde entry.
#428
I can indeed vouch for how long it takes. I spent the better part o an entire morning banging out the fights that I did.
As for far fetched...I want to hear ABSOLUTLY NOTHING about that shit ever again. I have seen in regular TT games many, many instances of averages shattering. Such as my buddy making 5 out of 7 invulnerable saves with his terminators. Or my genestealers failing to rend a single time out of 30 attacks.
You want to hear about far fetched? In the last tourny against Necrons my entire army of Terminators did not fail ONE SINGLE SAVE. Not one in the whole game and I must have been forced to make dozens of them.
Things like that don't happen often but they do happen.
Cfoley's Death Company failed 9 out of 15 saves...then failed to roll a single 4 to shake off the effects. What are the odds on that happening? I was shocked myself when my dice betrayed the Death Company, but there's no calling it, that's how they fell.
Oh and my personal apologies to Treeboy and Mirehn, I could not find the stat blocks for your entries and I did not want to move forward with the fight without full information, it would not have been fair to either party.
Good game Dooks.
There one moment, and there the next.
#430
I'm not picking on either of you, I'm just voicing my opinions. I don't particularly care that the Shuriken Catapult shots were all saved, I cared about the Starcannon shots that apparently were saved from nowhere.
I would ask for a re-run of the match, but seeing how that isn't likely to happen and that it's going to be played again anyway, I'll leave it at that. It's just that I've already had one fight totally re-done (Guardians v Mutants) and I looked at the wording and thought "not again"
I've already asked both of you if you want me to do some fights for you, but neither of you have responded to my offer of help. If your both real beat up after playing these matches out, just ask me to do a group(s) for you. I'm on a different time period to you two, so I can get some results down and PM them to you. And I am genuinely offering my help here, so all you have to do is ask.
#431
Why? Nothing happened that would require a redo.I would ask for a re-run of the match, but seeing how that isn't likely to happen
Psygunners hurting my feelings.
Psygunner, anything can roll snake eyes for wounding me.
#433
I said "would", not "am going to", Moo.
And you haven't commented on whether you and Dooks would like outside assistance, which I think would be a more important issue than my ramblings on the unlikeliness of a rematch.
BTW it slightly irritates me when I post a decent length of post and someone responds to a tiny sliver (and most often the least important part) of the post.
EDIT: Even 9,000 miles away Nareik? You must be psychic! [/sarcasm]
#434
Right. Everyone put their hackles back down and let's carry on. This isn't Big Brother after all.
I, for one, am feeling very nervous about the second stage of round one. Group E lies wide open.
Muhahaha, swooping hawks fall to the WAAGH!, im telling you weve got a real ork invasion in this tourney, even the grots are doing good.
Psygunner i think you need to take a chill pill, you entered eldar, its a rule that you have to loose every fight, it makes up for the immense gorgonzolla eldar players bring to the TT (Note: this is a joke please dont threaten to shoot my dog....)
#436
Not your dog, but that pissy little Grot Blasta certainly looks good on you right about now...![]()
Thanks Moo and Dooks, you guys are awesome I love reading how everyone is doing, and yes i am badass arent I?
This is hillarious i mean i would have figured i would have beat gaunts easyily and lost against the necron lord and it is complte opposite, i cant wait till redo's. Oh i love the redbull injection.
Psygunner, his libby passed 8 saves
Anyway, good job Moo and dooks. (Dooks this+Guides=Senior member)
Funny, I wish my libby would do this well in my TT games....
I wish my grey knights would do more against stupid bloodletters.
#441
(A few of Nob Grugnuk's boyz roll about on the battlefield pounding at each other for some forgotten reason and the rest stand around sneezing and watching their boss work on the dead Nurgle lord. They all seem to have caught some kind of cold.)
Nob Grugnuk (hacking repeatedly and futilely at the dead Nurgle monstrosity's neck): Dis ting stinks!
Ork #1: Dat smelly Chaos boy wuz a tuff un.
Ork #2: Yar! 'E wuz reel tuff! An' he wuz green!
Ork #3 (a particularly large and skarred ork. Grugnuk is keeping his eye on this one): Well, we wuz greena, you louts.
(He aims a steel-toed kick at Ork #2)
(Green ooze runs from the gash Grugnuk is deepening in the Nurgle lord's throat. The acid or disease or whatever it is eats steadily away at the choppa until it has lost its edge entirely)
Nob: Don't jus' stand dere gawkin'! Gimme annuver choppa you gits! (Finally, armed with a new choppa, Grugnuk hacks completely through the Nurgle lord's neck and hoists it high in the air)
Ork #2: Youz sure you wanna keep dat ting next to yer 'ead, boss?
Nob (ignoring Ork #2): For Gork an' Mork! (with a crunch, he sets the head firmly on a third shoulder spike, joining the decomposing skulls of the marine sergeant and the inquisitor)
Ork #3: 'Ey, boss, dat Freaky Moo-man sez we'z gonna fight all o' dem again.
Nob: Den we jus' havta kill 'em again. An' you lot quit all dat sneezin' back dere or I'll give yer sumfing ta sneeze about!
Warning: Chronic Post Editor
3rd CCC fluff thread
It's there for a reason, but it will be resurecting a dead thread. I need BA's permission to keep it alive or just leave it dead.
#443
Nob: Dat NarIkiWhatever tinks 'e's so 'igh n' mighty. Well, we'll teech 'im a ting or two. I gots a nice pointy spike wit' 'is name on it.
Ork #3: Furthermore, dis ain't fluffin', it's gloatin'!
Nob: Furddermor? You be talkin' too pink fer yer own good, Pitznag. I'ze gonna knock da green back inter ya, c'mere!
Ork #3 (running away): Sorry boss!
Grugnuk is faster, however, and beats Ork #3 to a pulp. Nareik123 quakes in his boots at this demonstration of orky strength.
#444
*Psygunner hopes Nareik will take that burn with grace and dignity by not responding.
Dat's sum gud writin, Beast! You'z not a jurnalist, is ya?
phew beat the consripts, that was the one I was most worried about to be honest. WAAAAGHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!
Come on guys, if it's fluff or telling stuff about a fight in fluffy ways (orky gloating included) just dump it in there.
Kinda sad to see a fluff thread 'die' especially when its made for this to prevent 'clutter'. I already offered to write fluff for those who can't be bothered but want to, and got only a few request :P Rolling a dice means a whole lot more then just wounds and saves guys.
so true, it also means I have to pick up my models and move them to my death pile, dispite taking 10 minutes to move them!! Playing orks gives you biceps the size of mountains due to all the lifting you do during games. Damn those Imperial guard and their static lines
EDIT: just by the way, whats going to happen when we re-fight everyone and theres still ties for 2nd place? Will it be done on models killed/lost etc?
#449
It will be done by who won the previous matchups.EDIT: just by the way, whats going to happen when we re-fight everyone and theres still ties for 2nd place? Will it be done on models killed/lost etc?
So for example team A, B, C, D
A is first, B and C are equal and D is last.
B beast C twice, so qualifies.
If both teams won once, then the team that won in the quickest time goes through.
So team B won its match in 2 rounds.
Team B won its match in 4 rounds.
Team B qualifies.
If it's still even... then it is drawn from a hat (just like it does in the European Cup)
#450
Huh? Er, rite. Okey-dokey. I getz you boss. Totally wiv it dere.
can i make a teeny-tiny contraversial (spelling has gone to pot) suggestion? Play offs for tie-breakers. In the case of a three-way tie apply :iws: 's rules to find first place then proceed to second place play-off. :thumb:
