Particular errror with WA

Ok...

Installed clean DW... My temp folder is on the same partition as my game and there's 6 GB of free hard drive. No modifications. Registry data matches path. No patch file is corrupted. The error when trying to patch to 1.40 is:


ENTRY: W40k\W40kData-SharedTextures-Full.sga

error ept0036: Old File not found. However, a file of the same name was
found. No update done since file contents do not match.

If I try and update throught regular patches the 1.01 works fine, but 1.10 goes error on me with:

ENTRY: W40k\W40kData-SharedTextures-Full.sga

What to do next?

PS: I tried to patch from Safe Mode... Same thing. I am so running out of ideas.

Well if you needed to install 1.01 then thats why you couldnt install 1.40.

I suggest you uninstall the game, delete the install directory and then reinstall - then apply this patch.

Edit: wait, you say this is a problem with WA? If you have WA then that should patch your DoW install up to 1.40 before it installs itself...

I have DoW installed... I tried first to install WA... it freezes when uptading with the first error message...

As an alternate I tried to update the game myself, throygh downloaded patches... 1.01 applies correctly... 1.10 freezes on the same texture file...

Any ideas?

Yes - the clean reinstall should allow you to patch.

As strane as it is I increased my swap capacity to over 1.9 GB and at the moment the update phase has passed and I am installing WA...
