New gaming studio? (exoriare.com) [relic related?]
Today when I logged on IRC I found this:
http://www.exoriare.com/ And some say it might be a teaser to a new relic game... It seems we need 122112 visitors to unlock something? Hopefully more people will find this from the forums. Edit: If anyone finds something new post in this thread... Mods: Please don't merge this thread/lock it. IMHO this needs own thread and it maybe something else than a relic game but we can hope and will hope. Edit2: It's confirmed. This is related to relic, see below. Edit3: This is tangentially related to Relic, but not related to a new Relic game. See below. EDIT!!: This is not related to relic in any way as Buggo stated . Discussion is now about the possible riddle behind that page and the possible new gaming studio and their possible games. Last edited by The Shadow : 29th May 07 at 11:22 AM. |

I have done some studying on the glyphs there. The key for the glyphs is
A D G J M P S V Y B E H K N Q T W Z C F I L O R U X Also the text next to africa, "africa-glyphs", says = __AMGU AGE HAS BEEN C_RR__ I'm still deciphering the text. Text left from Norway is: _ _ OENIK WIP too. Ain't it fun |

If it is a Relic game, it's all a bit "WTF" expecting the world to start salivating in general, it reminds me of Eon8 and we all know people are still feeling silly from that. Relic is a niche developer too.
Eh, intriguing though. Spam it people. :P |

Erm, because we all live in hope.
Nonetheless it's a hella fun looking the site up and down, digging up as much as possible. My thoughts so far, outside of Relic, suggest it could be a second Transformers viral, but I really have no clue. The page source even has similarities to the Blizzard countdown a week back. But they have no need for such a viral since they've announced their game. It's definitely a game in development however, the page source tells you that much. |

Whois info for the domain.
While 'John Johnson' and 'Drew Dunlop' look like fake names (according to dolts on irc ), they are actually relic staff who both worked on COH.While the addresses dont appear to be for relic, someone should give the numbers a call ![]() Code:

And also GG Relic, but if you could make it a little harder next time, it was fun looking around, but in the end the URL www.exoriare.com/images/ led us to the library that revealed all the answers.
Make another one sometime, but make it harder. |

Calm down Squid.
We find a site that appears to be a countdown for a games development company. We figure out it is Relic. Then an image is found telling us that it is a smoking gun(possibly an apt name for the new studio too). And simply a little site to celebrate Relics new studio opening. So I did have reason to expect it to be a new game, even if it was vague. I know hoax may not have been the best word, but it sure as hell did allude to a new game. I look forward to hearing more about the new studio, that site has too little information on it as of yet. |

Looking through the directory of images I found:
http://www.exoriare.com/images/radar_07_launch.gif With the website looking rather technical, in this day and age only one thing gets launched. Methinks this could be a post-Nuclear/Nuclear war game. |

what once was what now is
Thats what I managed to get from the writing on the side of the main page (Where you input the code) Interesting page, though. The location almost seems random (I have gotten Australia on one computer, and United states on another. Other people have also gotten stragne ones). 122112 or 21st December 2012 is 'widely' regarded as the end of the world.
Perhaps a game based around this time? edit: link to some stuff about 122112 |

Okay so were all assuming it has anything remotely to do with Relic, even though there is no indication whatsoever, bar some obviously mistaken comment in a magazine?.
I expected better from you forumites. Now, back to good conspiracy theorizing. *cough*homeworld3*cough*. |

Not only did they slip up, but I went and immortalised the mistake!
What I would like though, is for someone to check if any employees have initials that match up to one of the pictures (I linked and translated it last page). If they match, we would have some pretty good evidence that its Relic. |
