RGM -> Max
Overview
This is a set of MaxScripts to open RGM files. Currently only gets the vertex X,Y,Z and the faces, but future versions will hopefully do more. Only tested with max 8; other versions may not work. Installation Download: http://www.corsix.org/misc/Corsix_RGM_01.zip Extract into 3ds Max\Scripts\Startup Usage Guide Extract the file you want to view using my mod studio. Go Tools -> MaxScript ![]() Now choose RGM Import from the dropdown and press Import RGM ![]() Select a file and press OK (warning; this will erase your current scene). The file will now load: ![]() This looks a bit small though, lets zoom in: ![]() That doesn't look quit like a sherman though. Lets pull up the select by name dialog: ![]() Ahh, there are several parts to the model. Select the wreck part and either hide it or delete it: ![]() |

This script opens RGM files; it does not make them. There may be an improved version of this script arriving sometime (not made by me though). There may also be official tools to make RGM files arriving sometime.

That is what I am using. Maybe I didnt set it up right, dunno.
There are two folders in RGMImport.zip 1, RGM_Import 2, Startup I copied all the files from both folders into Script/Startup in my 3dsMax8 directory and now I get this error: "--Type error: Call needs function or class, got: undefined" I choose these tabs once opened max tools (the hammer symbol), MAXScript RGM Import Import RGM then I get the above error message Sorry to give you all this trouble, probably I do something totally wrong. |

Pls bear with me I know for those who can help this might be an annoying noob thing:
right now I have the following files in the Script folder of Max8 directory Corsix_Chunky.ms Corsix_RGM_Import.ini Corsix_RGM_IMport.ms libRGMImport.ms RGM_Import_Tool_Loader.ms I ran all the ms scripts and then tried to open .rgm files but every time I got the following error message: "--Unable to convert:undefined to type: String" I've got this with every .rgm I tried ro open so I gather this is not a bug but more like I set up the damn thing wrong. If this is the case, pls let me know what I do wrong. Thanx fellas. |

I am really truly deeply very grateful man and did everything you just told me, put the art folder in WW2 folder even (I figured I might as well try it), run the scripts, even consulted with my crystal globe but I still get the same error message.
"--Unable to convert: undefined to type: String" This is the moment when most of you probably give up on me but believe me, I am doing exactly what you are telling me to do. Look at it as a challenge and pls dont wish me to hell. |

I did. Now, I cant save it and the settings override themselves and the options jump back where they were before. I hit "Save all settings" but still...
Do I need something like BurnerTool set up somewhere perhaps (?), cuz I dont have that. Just an idea since I see now among the options a folder DataScr/Directory... What is the matter with this thing? Anyway, I still have the very same error message. |
