Must we include things like, custom loading screen, in-game minimap picture, etc?
If they are not a must, do we get brownie points for them? They are a hassle for me, as the game itself does not include the tools to create these (.tga) files... therefore people with extra tools (like Photoshop) are at an advantedge And another question, should all of our maps be suited for competition play? I notice you said these maps will be included in an upcoming tournament. I have ideas for maps, that alter the gameplay style, such as attack-and-defend... I suppose I will just make competative maps for the contest anyway, and then make the other map ideas for just fun. on a side note, are the overlay bugs going to be fixed in 1.4? I am sorry to ask questions on the topic, I am sure people at relic hear them frequently... |

St. Marcouf
![]() Release Notes: St. Marcouf v1.0 Make sure you have the -dev command attached to your CoH shortcut BEFORE installing! Elements of the 101st Airborne landed near St Marcouf on June 6th 1944. They met up with the 82nd and proceeded to capture the city of Carentan. Their next target was the sleepy village of St Marcouf, located East of Carentan, in Northern France. Little did they know that the German opposition would be fierce, as the crossroads provided a vital strategic point for both sides. Allies: Capture and hold the crossroads so vehicles and supplies can make their way across France from Normandy. Axis: Prevent the allies from capturing the crossroads, so they cannot get vital supplies to the front line. Download Here All screenshots Teaser Trailer for release Anything else can be found on my filefront page here. Thread pertaining to map There are a lot more images in the filefront screenshot gallery. Just go to "View all screenshots" above. Thankyou. I love great feedback, as it is the only reward I get for creating these maps. It takes a lot of time to add this much detail.
May I ask everyone to have a look at my second map, "Near the town of St Lo" with a full final release. It showcases some more of my work. Thanks goes out to the community for supporting me, Buggo for helping me with some problems (GREAT PR!) and Relic for making such a great game. I was hooked on CoH from the time I played the demo... and just couldn't wait to get the full game and then start making maps. |

I will be starting my map today. I don't want to tell the name of it because someone else may take it. It is part-fiction part non-fiction, I think it will be a very cool one tho.
I am hoping its not already in the Champains though, I haven't finished them (been lanning ALOT) |

that map looks fun AND professionally put together, nice work Henry666. I think I'll try my hand at a map or two. By the way has anyone figured out the specifics of the loading screen image, what dimensions/format does it have to be, what does the file have to be named, etc. Once I have that information I would be glad to produce a loading screen for maps entered into the contest, using Photoshop to make them look as much like the standard maps' loading screens as possible. Or are custom loading screens even allowed for the contest?

AM I missing something but I am not seeing any 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3 maps. I think you all are doing nice work, but I like to see some larger maps. YEs I am looking into making some myself. Not for this contest but to have new maps to play. Thanks Bungo for the contests.
