The Magic Chimney of Lorraine

Apparently there is a magic chimney on Lorraine which acts like a back hole for calliope barrages.

Yesterday I intended to fire a barrage on a stug from the middle. However, none of the missiels actually made it past one of the buildings. While I knew that there is a chance I might hit the building, I had expected it to collapse and not eat the barrage for breakfast.

Duh chimneys are magic!

How do u think santa goes down them?
Theres a magical portal that connects the top to the bottom.
which means those rockets probably ended up below in the house.

Maybe a graphical glitch, the building is already ruined.

Bad idea firing calliope barrage over buildings

Is it only Calliope barrages, or do all indirect fire rounds going over/through the chimney get sucked up?

I actually had a similar experience last night. It sucked more though. I had a rifleman squad go to toss a grenade from behind a building and instead of tossing it into the other building as ordered it went up and STUCK to the walls of the building used for cover, Its air burst killed 1 squad and hurt another.

It's generally not a good idea to fire calliope barrages over obstacles near the start and end of the barrage.

In that case, it does look like they all hit the chimney. I'm surprised they didn't explode, but not particularly surprised it didint cause a collapse... Chimenys seem pretty tough in this game

Don't those chimneys show up in cinematic on that port city attack on the campaign? When I watched that cinematic a chimney just like that got hit by arti but instead of falling down the chunk were all just floating there in the exact same place... Kinda reminded me of a Necron structure xD

Yeah, hadn't expected the worst case scenario to be that bad, though.

I wonder why chimneys obey different coh-laws-of-nature. Perhaps I should test to howitz and bombard that building and see if it is destoryable at all.

Don't you think Jimmy's day has been bad enough already?
