@Matt: All I can say for now is, wait until the second press release is released. Then, we will have a discussion. Alright?
@Cpt Otto: Well, we can't do anything without the OE and we don't know when it will be released we can't give you any date. I could say like december this year, but if the OE won't be released before december....You probally know what I mean. (one note: december was just an example..) |

I hate when that happens. When I first modeled the AT4 I screwed up the UV map, so there was a line of black going down the side, looked very similar to the barrel of your gun actually
I would move the parts on the UV a bit further apart if possible, to get rid of the black lines. The black lines are probably caused by either not painting enough, or by resizing the image so that the edges got a bit blurred. |

![]() Hello, CoH fans, and welcome to the second press release of the Modern Combat mod for Company of Heroes. It’s been a long time since the last update, and we have a lot to show for it! Our artists have been hard at work creating models for both the American and Chinese factions, and you can see a few samples of their work below. In addition to the work on modelling, we have completed roughly half the coding, with the American faction now mostly playable, albeit with stand-in models. As for the doctrines… well, they sure have changed, and for the better. Some things still aren’t finished, but we’re constantly working on it. Americans Mechanized Command Right tree 1- Upgrade your HMMWVs with extra armour, so it’s harder for your enemy to destroy them. 2- Call in a Cougar armed with a .50 cal HMG to transport your troops, and provide some early-mid game support. 3- Call in the M1A2 Abrams main battle tank to provide some late-game punch and send your enemies reeling. Left tree 1- Stryker (Recon version) to conduct quick recon, so you are always one step ahead of the enemy. This can also capture points, although somewhat slowly, to allow you to keep ahead of the enemy. *TBD 3- Call an M109A6 Paladin to the battlefield and make your enemy feel the power of its 155mm howitzer. Air Superiority Right tree 1- An Air Superiority fighter patrols a sector of the map, and denies it to enemy air units. 2- Request an A10 Warthog strafing run and degrade enemy tanks to scrap metal. 3- Call in an AC130U “Spooky” to rain shells above a targeted area for a limited time. Left tree *TBD 2- Airlift troops to the battlefield. This ability is similar to off-map-combat-group, except air-deployed and less randomised. 3- Call in the elite Delta Force to wreak havoc on your enemy. These units are vulnerable to armoured vehicles, but deadly to other infantry. Preemptive Strike Right tree *TBD *TBD 3- When you need some heavy fire support, the Stryker self propelled 105mm howitzer will give you the mobility and the fire support you need. It will fire just a few rounds, but it will allow you to take out that troublesome MG you just cant clear any other way. Left tree 1- Advanced Infantry Training. Increases accuracy, grenade range, speed and adds the suppressive fire ability to your rifleman. It can give you the boost you need against the massive amount of Chinese troops you will encounter. 2- When you need troops somewhere deep behind enemy lines, the air deployable Rangers are perfect for you. Deployed by a Blackhawk in friendly or neutral territory, Rangers are perfect for surprise surgical strikes and retaliation. 3- Gain access to the elite Navy SEALs. Equipped with explosives to sabotage bridges and destroy enemy structures, these squads are perfect for a late-game breakthrough, but their small squad sizes make combat risky. ___ And now for the models! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() *Note that the above image is a photoshop composite of an in-game screenshot with a render of the HMMWV. So we come to the end of this press release. As always, we encourage anybody with any skills in modeling, texturing, coding, mapping, or anything else you think might be helpful to check in on our application forum. We’re always looking for talent. *TBD – To Be Decided |
