Handling Kangaroos 2.600

Alrite well I'm having a problem dealing with kangaroos when theirs a PIAT and Bren squad inside, my tanks just get buttoned and cant do anything while they drive up behind and I'm screwed. I find it ridiculous that a Bren squad inside and kangaroo can still button enemy tanks.

Also it seems that when i blow up a kangaroo the infantry inside is basically unharmed, is this a bug?(especially a pain for when they drive inside your base).

Anyways any suggestions and good known counters would be appreciated thanks.

PAKs and keeping your tanks away from the Kangaroos. Mines work pretty well to stop the Kangaroos from flanking ya.

Kangaroo Carriers aren't so special themselves, as they have just slightly more health than a Cromwell, and they're extremely dependant on infantry units. Lots of investment in one basket.

As Nanaki sugggested, PaKs (guranteed penetration, extra damage, and extra accuracy for 3 shots tends to help against all targets) and mines are good Kangaroo counters.

Also, when a transport is destroyed, the units inside have a 75% "percent unload on death". This basically means 25% of the units are killed when the transport is destroyed.

As PE, anti-tank halftracks are very useful in stopping them, as well as Panzer IV IST tanks to take out the infantry once the Kangaroo is destroyed/drops off its load.

While Kangaroos equipped with Bren/PIATs are pretty deadly, you have to keep in mind the opponent has to basically do a suicide rush with them (get within button range, then keep moving around but cannot run away). Again, this is why mines and other disablers are useful - after that, its just the same way you would deal with a Cromwell.

I personally think that button shouldnt be able to be used from with in it. its simply to good when you can button as well as pound the tank with piats.

Alrite thanks guys, im finding mines effective, paks often get flanked because of the speed of this thing.Infantry anti tank is so so because they get run over infantry like the m10 my shrecked grens always get crushed by the koos.

But yeh i hope they do something about the buttoning inside the koo its kinda ridiculus, they should at least have to be not moving to button a tank like a bren squad has to do or not be able to fire the Piat because u cant escape it, it drives up fast and buttons you no problem.

destroy the kangroo by moving back your tanks to keep distance. try move in Paks range. immediate start making MG unit from WC while you destroying kangroo(if you dont have it) and keep it ready to suppress when the Piats come out of kangroo. attack the suppressed piats mostly they will click retreat. if you have firestorm chase them or newbl or stuka their base when they start retreating. i know its tough to do all this but most of the noobs who abuse this piat/kangroo thing will fall for it.

roos are new and difficult to undestand since in one tiny tank unarmed i precise or almost you can pack up some nice infantry but the cost is enormous cause when killed 25% of units inside are killed ,even a LT can insta die with the roo.
and my inf with shcreck never get crushed by the thing if a pak is nearby since the roos will try to flank the pak and you just shot his rear with shreck.
anyway you cannot counter it with one unit obviuosly beause there is at least 1300MP +250mun inside that tin can...
but 2 gren with shrecks vet 2 + pak +mines optional just work wonder.
and do not send tank front line against it since it is dedicated AT and only reliable ally counter to heavy WE T4

1st thing, I propose search function.

Counter their mobility with tank traps and mines.
Destroy them from long range.
Have something to rush in to wipe the infantry.
When they retreat drop arty on their truck.

To beat 'Roo strat you have to kill the infantry if you don't you will probably lose because replacing Kangaroos and 1 or 2 dead soldiers from squad is much cheaper than 2 tanks. It's like fighting late game wher with it's global vet. You can't fight your opponent by dealing small casualties in each skirmish, you have to make one deadly blow which will cripple brit for good. From my opinion the best doctrine for 'Roo player is RCA so look out for FOO. Don't try to limit his fuel because he doesn't need it much. Try to take his munition sectors. It's hard to spot this strat before the 'Roos are on the field (because brits can't skip tiers and have limited options) but if you see that he isn't using emplacements and stuarts then there is a huge possibility that he is prepareing troops for the 'Roos.

There is usually a gathering spot for the infantry and Kangaroos to come together. If you can hit that area, theres a chance you can kill the infantry before they get in Kangaroos (maybe even one or two roos too).
