It's the volksgrenadier rolevariation, and the awesome thing is that after it, the volksgrenadier model is more friendly with the mixing
. You can see in one of the pictures, that the volks is mixed directly with the tankbuster. And other thing that I believe I found is how to make rolevarations to be usable in vehicles.................. |

Woah! If these AREN'T model mixes, that means you must've hand edited the model files? Christ on a crutch! This not only opens up possibilities for models, but it means that any single skin made for that model can just be more or less plugged in right?
(BTW, if anyone has any problems with that language, PM me, i'll change it ASAP!) Edit: Tooks a little adjusting of the model files and customising to work properly, but these are quite good. Finally having helmeted Volks is great, and the Pio with the cap is nifty for vehicle crews. I can't see much difference between your Jeep gunner and the Relic one, other than yours uses the other jacket and helmet texture. Did i miss anything? Updated first and second post.
@Lethal post a picture to see which is your problem. Also soon I am going to change the zip, so novices can use it but i guess that will be when I finish the models and release it. By the way, I am going to make infantry with rolevarations for vehicles only if somebody request it. Last edited by tankdestroyer : 16th Aug 09 at 4:27 PM. |

Great to see the "models boom" lately - it has me salivating at the possibilities.
That's the great thing about the armoury community - we all pool our various skills and keep coming up with premo stuff. Very good work here - keep it up and looks good |

Good work on the new models! I wonder how many versions of thsoe two tanks have been modelled here by now? If only some new Allied vehicles could get the same love!
The only problems i had with the infantry models were the cap showing through helmet on the volksgrenadier model (ended up just removing the cap from the skin), and some lines in the Pioneer models pointing to non-existent skins like Volksgrenadier_Sniper. I got around the first one, and the latter wasn't exactly a problem... so no problem. I too noticed that your modified Volks mix a lot better with other models now, i can finally mix them with the Fallshirmjager without issues. |

Yeah, I noticed that too . BTW I am thinking in increase the compatibility of Whermacht Grenadier if is posible. And I have in my mind a new kind of model mix but haven't probe it yet so dunno if it will work as I think.Well for British(the ones that desperately need some heavy armor) I have in my mind the Comet and the Churchill IV NA75. But first I have to finish these two models. |

Ola , I have being away for 5 days and i have seeing so many progress . Sorry that i did not have the available time in my first try at this jagdpanzer IV , the news on the infantry are excellent I'll test it . Also I will see what I can do with the rest but after 2-3 weeks when I will have again a new Internet connection. bout new infantry , for germans to prevent the mixing I suggest the storm trooper model with out the parka head cover will be suitable with every mix of equipments and it will skin perfect like cammo tunic , m-43 cammo jacket etc etc , with the proper gears. Also this model can be mixed with the CW tank commander legs in order to have a veteran NCO for 12 SS with Italian cammo trouser with out boot cover etc etc. NICE work Amigo sorry that I don't have the time that I want at this moment to help you further . edit: I have already test these troops with WB , Excellent work , these 2 variation with the TOV /tiger crew is the major solution by 98% for tank crews ( the rest 2% is for the Vigor cup of the Tank leader) , one variation with field cup for Tanks / Destroyers, one with helmet for Madred III , 250's ,amazing no mix models with fieldcap volksmodel or storm-tankbuster model (helmet) . These models saves a lot of polygons and it is a very good solution for Tank crews special in mods Like Normandy that they need some save on mix models. For Volksgrenadier model (grenadier) someone must use alpha in field cap to have the helmet or the opposite to have field cup. I have not test these yet with mixed with other models but I assumed that the mix of these special the vehicle crew (m-44 uniform) opens a new era in German Graphics in this community . I will modify all my Tank crews using these 2 along with Tiger crew model , to save as much as I can to make the game not need so intensive graphics and save some space to have back the majority of the old good mix models. Look my above proposal about storm , try to modify it this also can save a lot of mix too , with such model we can have a very good tunic with out need to be mixed with the Tankbuster where we can't have the proper calf insignias for SS div ( one calf mirrored , no space for rang in calf) . Also take a look if you can change the WH grenadier model so its uniform not to look like a winter suit (with raze calf's .i.e ) etc etc. Last edited by georider : 18th Aug 09 at 5:50 PM. |

@ tankdestroyer and pojarsma -
I don't think you guys understand the full magnitude of how important your work here is. We, as modders, have been waiting from the games beginning for new vehicle models. If you look around, you'll see that we have only been able to add a couple of new models over several years outside of what Relic provided. All of us who take the time to mod take pride in our work and want it to be right, unique, and historically accurate. You, along with other modelers, have given us new hope and inspiration to expand our mods further. I, though I have something to offer in other areas, cannot model or skin at all. Your talents, and of your skinners like Slayerknecht (who I already thanked in his thread for use of some his skins), are crucial to me. I can only hope you'll grant me permission in the end to use your work. Thanks again, and keep up the good work. |

Thanks for that words. And just to remember to everyone that this models are for public use.
Now some great news: I just ended with the Jagdpanzer but I still don't test it,(it's 3:00am in my country). So I could say that maybe the weekend could be a release, maybe........ The Jagd will include a new wreck and a complete shader (diff, dirt, spec, gloss, normal and oclussion). Now some candy eye: Again, credits and thanks to @Slayerknecht for this amazing work. |

Just so you guys know - check the post #'s on all three of us. I think Celestial and Lethal are the only two left here in the Armoury (and Warnstaff) with as many post as me
So, you're getting praise from some people that have been around the block here (just don't break your arm patting yourselves on the back Edit - beat me to the punch! A release, already. Great News! |

Methinks we should gather up all the modelers that are currently working on projects and create a Community Model Project, so that work is not redundant (multiple modelers working on the same vehicle) and give them realistic projects in order of priority.
130Th Panzer recently made a Daimler "Dingo" Scout Car at our request, which was badly needed to fill in the lack of British Scout Cars. However, he (and we at Fortress Europe) don't know how to get it in game, so pooling resources together as a community would only be a great benefit to everyone. ![]() Edit: Here is a list of vehicles I compiled some time ago that could definitely be used in mods and are realistic goals: http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=230217 They aren't arranged by priority, but that is easy to fix. |
