As well as that large list of mods, there are maps for Homeworld and maps for Cataclysm. A Pack for Homeworld 2 is also in the works so keep an eye out for that beauty. The tools section is still under development and has lots that can be added to it but it will keep getting better. If anyone has any suggestions, please contact me via PM on these forums or on the small set of forums at Jst-Online.

The site is 90% complete at the moment. I still need to upload some interviews and perhaps get a few more done. Also, I want to get my TGU webspace back online so that I can utilise that also.

Until then, enjoy!

RAIDER RETREAT MISSION

The Raider Retreat Mission is an official release by Relic. The Raider Retreat mission is actually a mission set after mission 4 which did not make it into the final cut of Homeworld, however it was fully completed and later released by Relic due to popular demand.

The Raider Retreat Mission is currently available to download in two places. TheGamingUnion.com and Homeworldarchives.com. If any posts are made asking where to find this file in the future, please direct them to this thread. It should now be uneccessary to ask where to get the file unless the download links in this post are down, therefore such posts may be deleted!

The full version is the complete standalone release extracted from the disc that came bundled with Cataclysm. This was obtained by myself in 2001. I removed a few directories such as the installation folder for DirectX and Adobe Acrobat to save download time. Scans of the disc cover are also made by myself.

Alternatively there is also a light (lite) version available which requires you to have the full version of Homeworld installed. This version was originally made by Mac_Bug. With permisison, I made a few changes to the readme file to make it easier to follow. It requires moving files from your Homeworld directory into the Raider Retreat folder therefore you must have a full version of Homeworld to use the lite version. If you are unsure or don't want any problems, go for the full version. If you're on a 56k, perhaps try the light version.

HomeworldArchives link

If the Homeworld archives link is not working or is slow, or if you simply want more than one source for your download, use The Gaming Union Links below.

TheGamingUnion (Lite)

Good to see your still well on your way towards Galatic Conquest (get it? HAHAHA!!!....mleh) of the Universe Scotty.
Although my gaming pleasures involving the homeworld trilogy have come to an abrupt end lately, 'tis still good to see a true beleiver catering to the remainder of the Higarians needs in a cynical, yet Professional way.

Good luck to you Galaxy Angel - And may Milfuel be with you!

Thanks man. Judging by the number of page views and hits to my site, most people now feel the same way as you! But no matter, I did this massive update for myself rather than anyone else. After four years, its nice to get something more or less completed, plus or minus a few things i still plan on putting up there.

Maybe then, conquest of the universe will be complete. At least in the HW & HWC universe

They are modifications; they alter ships or other things such as weapon and sound effects in Homeworld and Homeworld Cataclysm. My site is an archive for them, many of which are nolonger available anywhere else on the internet.

Simply put this is not the thread to be asking such things. I suggest you use the search function to find your answer as it has been dealt with many times. You should probably look in the "Research Station" forum. As for the t-mat mod, i do not have the latest version on my site so follow this link instead;

The Research Station is here;
http://forums.relicnews.com/forumdisplay.php?f=16

Its simply a matter of browsing the main page of this forum, scrolling down and clicking on the link that says Research Station.

After using the search button (which i hope you can find), if you are unable to find your answer due to poor search terms, PM the author of the mod by going here;
http://forums.relicnews.com/member.php?u=64

Additionally, try looking at this basic guide i cooked up a long time ago;

Finished Mods

This is quite useful in obtaining the names and ideas for HomeWorld Mods. Most times I spend countless hours surfin round the web to collect info for Mods of H.W.
Presently is am in persuit of finished mods for single player.
What mite be a good place to alocate said mods for my personal whims?
Currently I am enjoying a Star Wars Mod. I have found it in the very most satisfying range of experience.
Mutiple player mods are nice but most losers are very Imature and do not learn from the defeat.
I stand ready!

There are not many single player mods in particular for HW as it is not easily possible to modify the campaign, or at least wasn't until the HW source code was released and afaik nothing as notable as editing sp has been done. Some mods that are multiplayer work in a single player environment, that is that you are able to play the ordinary single player of homeworld with the ships that teh mod replaces.

Try downloading and testing a few of the larger mods on my website, as the only way to determine if they work or not is thru trial and error.

EDIT: Just rememembered as of a few days back, my site is down therefore it will be a short while before you can access the files. I am going to upload the files to an alternate server tonight....

Yes, all files except for one or two small mods are on my TGU address but I haven't publically announced that yet as i haven't uploaded the pages.

Check here for a little while and I will repost when the pages are up.

Probably over 500mb's or so but I'm not sure. I can't be bothered to check right now the stuff is all a bit lost in the back of my mind I'm afraid....god knows if I'll ever get around to updating the site for one last time.

I'm liking the look of the site you got there dude. For a minute there i thought the /hwa bit meant you was kind enough to host the hole of homeworldarchives on your site

I need some help on the Raider Retreat download.

I do not have a 56K connection, so should I download the full version? Or what is the difference between the versions besides file size. And I do not know how to install this. Please help me. :helplesspuppydogeyes:

Sorry to have to tell this to you scottismo, but I found out that my HW2 maps cause sync errors online. This is because they share a library of resources that can't be transmitted via GameSpy. I fixed this issue, and was wondering if you could add them again?
Thanks, and sorry for the trouble.

n00bie51 please make requests like this via private message rather than by bumping this thread. The instructions are included with the zip file. Please Private Message me stating whether you have the full or lite version and I will try to help further.

No "rest in peace's" just yet my friend. The old girl ain't dead yet! I am changing hosts but haven't had time to sort out the files to upload yet due to University work. Within the next month or so, I will have it up and will post a new address in these forums.

It will be harder than that to keep Jst-Online down for the count
